One of the best games I've ever played.

Obviously, Pokémon still has a large fan base, seeing as how this is currently the second most pre-ordered game, LeafGreen is the fourth, and Colosseum was the first back when it was released.

I have played the Japanese version of FireRed, and it is amazing. The graphics look beautiful, the sound is wonderfully redone, and the wireless adapter is one of the most brilliant GBA accessories I've seen. Tons of improvements over the Red and Blue versions.

Also, it will be fully compatible with all the existing third-generation Pokémon games (Ruby, Sapphire, Box, and Colosseum). I am looking forward to it's release in the US, and I strongly encourage everyone to take a look at this game.

I know this will be one of the Greatest Pokemon games ever

Pokemon has been a very great game series just like the anime on KidsWb. I have played many Pokemon games. This game has you in the very first Region called Kanto. But this remake sounds like a very great game. Also you can trade your Pokemon from Fire Red into Pokemon Ruby Version and Pokemon Sapphire Version. Also Leaf Green comes out the same day as Fire Red. This game also comes with a wireless adaptor if you did not read above. I know this game will be great. (...) This game is a must buy

I have to say, I (...)love pokemon. Most kids my age don't like Pokemon and think its for babies. ITS NOT. I love all the pokemon games. My first was Pokemon RED. I like Pokemon Fire red and i play it everyday. The only thing that i dont like About it is the wirless thing. It Doesnt go that far. Also, i can Never find anyone in the union room. I wish they made a new wireless adapter that could go about 100 or 125 feet through walls. That Would be awesome. Overall, I love this game, if you (...) are looking for an awesome game, i suggest this one.

The release of firered and leafgreen will be on 9/9/04. The two games are remakes of the classic Pokemon Red and Blue version. The wireless transmitter uses bluetooth and is good up to 33 feet. All 386 pokemon will be able to be caught. After defeating the elite four, exit from Kanto to the new islands created in the game. The music is a lot better, and you'll get visuals of what you're entering into; IE: a forest, cave, or building. Connect with ruby, sapphire, and pokemon colleseum. The item bag is a lot better with mini icons of the items. Also, you'll get to see the pokemon use an item. There will still be two on two battles. What's really interesting is that when the game is loading you whach a flashback of what you previously The new voice playback will allow you recap of something important said to you by someone. The pokedex is also improved, and searches are much easier. This game will be a smash hit for all people young or old. Bravo, Nintendo, Bravo!

Alright, my Pokemaniac days are over but every now and then I'll pick a game up. Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen are a revamped up version of Pokemon Red and Blue. Just five to six years ago Pokemon was THE game to get! I remember going to school with my gameboy to trade with other "trainers" all the time. This was THE game to own back then. Of course it isn't so much the same for me now but it is nice when a classic is revived. Unfortunately for Nintendo, its a shame that they work on a lot of the negative things about the previous games.

To begin, this game is no surprise to the Pokemon fan. The story has been the same since its release in 1999. You're a trainer striving to be the best trainer he or she can be. You go around the world collecting badges from the gyms all over to prove that you're a pokemon master. As the formula goes, you've got a rival and you fight other trainers throughout the game as well.

The gameplay has since its relase in '99 remained unchanged. It borrows elements from Ruby and Sapphire, the two on two battles but much like Ruby and Sapphire you don't get to enjoy those kind of battles too often. You run around the field getting into random encounters. You send a pokemon that you caught in the wild out to battle. You can carry up to six in your inventory at a time. On the field you can also find trainers to do battle with.

Perhaps what strikes me most about the game is that in battle looks a lot sharper and nicer than in the previous versions. Battle also paces a lot faster than before and the animations look a lot better as well.

The graphics have been updated to suit the GBA and they're absolutely gorgeous! They're smooth and look astonishing. The graphics are crisp and the game doesn't suffer too much from the pixel problem the GBA has. Very smooth and colorful as well. The only downside to the graphics is once again, in battle the graphics do not live up to the full potential of the GBA. They STILL only twitch to attack and never actually touch their enemy. In battle also still lacks color and scenery.

The sound, I wish I could say is good. But since the sound has only been updated to sound sixteen bit, that means its still a little annoying. The sound in the first release wasn't anything to jump around about and this re-release is no different. Some tunes actually sound a bit more annoying than before.

What has been unique about the Pokemon games is how after you've completed it there's more to do. Once you've completed the game you can catch more pokemon and challenge previous trainers to duel only their pokemon are at higher levels. You'll more than likely spend more time going through the aftermath of the game than the actual storyline itself.

Every Pokemon fan knows that the only way to completely master Pokemon is to catch 'em all. That's the reason for releasing two different versions. The only difference between the FireRed and LeafGreen games is simply the different pokemon you catch. Some pokemon are no availible in one version and therefore you must trade with the other version.

Perhaps the only BIG con is simply if you've got that brutally mastered file on the original GB version one and spent 200 hours doing it all to get everything you possibly could, you probably won't be too happy to do it all over again on virtually the same game and since you can't bring in your pokemon from the original Red and Blue, some may not be too pleased to have to raise all their pokemon all over again.

The Good
+Re-release of one of the best GB games out there
+Updated Graphics
+Addictive Gameplay

The Bad
-Still not enough Two-on-two battle action
-The sound is still rather annoying
-You can't trade with the original GB game or transfer over Pokemon in anyway.

Some people don't even know the half of this game !!!!!!!!!!

Ok here's how it is with these new games. I mean I know it does get a little boring when you're doing everything over again but it's worth it. I went to this website and I found out after you beat the pokemon league you get to go to Nine other different islands!!! and on the last island you get a chance to catch the newest pokemon Deyoxys!!! So to those idiots who call us "Pokemaniacs" crazy, now you can tell them what they're missing out on! (...) ( (Hope this helped!)

Pokemon Firered Rocks

This game rocks its the best pokemon version ever it has a new save feature where when you turn it off it tells you what you did before you saved it. Its almost just like the first one acept the towns look a little different and your rival doesn't look the same as before and the music isn't the same ether but nintendo and pokemon never keep the original music so thats the way that goes. but that doesn't matter because the game rocks and
I give it five stars and it's worth the 40 or at toysrus 30 because it comes with a wireless adapter witch nintendo will be useing as a link cable for all the up coming games so it's fun and if you played the first version then you will have a lot of
memorys so get this game!.
