pokemon has been around for so0o0o0o long... not a lot of people stil like them... all they are doing is making more and more games and crap for the games to make money off the little ( and i mean little) people that like them and maybe just maybe some of the idiots that STILL like them after all these years. this wireless adaptor i have seen and read about... you can only trade and chat with the people that are IN YOUR RANGE! so if you are in a trade with someone say 2 blocks away from you and he/she moves or you move durning the trade you just lost that trade and you could get a error and have to turn the gameboy off and on. what if you didnt save? you just lost all the hard work you just did... so in conclusion this is not such a great toy. i would not recomend this to anyone.
Still mot making pokemon good again.

As you can see, Pokemon is "out" and no matter what Nintendo does, it will never be popular again. This is the problem, Pokemon is not a popular name anymore. First of all, This is the same thing as Leaf green. How could anyone just change one appearance (yes one) of something and call it another game? Nintendo is begging now. As for the gameplay: This is a remake of Red, Blue, and of course, yellow. I bought the game. It was pretty good. A guy in a Pokemon center says "You need to raise all of your pokemon equally and not just use one strong pokemon," or something like that. WWRROONNGG!!!!!!!! Yeah you can! The graphics are improved and for what previous games have given us, they have done well enough. The gameplay is easy. This is a good spot. It gets VERY annoying when your pokemon is poisoned. FLICK!FLICK!FLICK!FLICK! You just want to yell, "I KNOW!" To catch all the legendary birds you would need cheats! I mean, why would you want 4 pokemon (including Mewtwo) that need master balls for if you only have one! This game is fun to play if you like low violence, E rated battling, so don't flip of the thought of battling parents. If you think the idea of battling wireless is cool. IT'S NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's junk! Why the heck is the last gym in the first town and why is Giovanni the leader. Bad game programmers, thats why. First, if it made sense to have the last gym in the first town, I would change first to last. Oh man, have to go. Hope this helped ya. Bye.
And The Pokemon Generation Goes on and on......

Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green are probably the best Pokemon games ever made. They combine new elements with the old Pokemon, the new graphics with the old game play. I am not much of a Pokemon fan, but the games always amazed me.
You start by picking a Pokemon (there are Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur to chose from). Then you begin on your original quest to catch 'em all, and beat Team Rocket.
The gameplay is great, new music, better battle graphics, longer storyline, ect. However, the game is basically the same as the original Red/Blue with the added GBA elements and it may be a little hard to start a game you've already played and beaten, over again. Because of this, the game is played mostly to unlock the elements only available after you beat the game.
For example, after you have beaten all 8 gyms, an additional 9 islands will appear. After you beat Team Rocket you will be able to trade from Fire Red/Leaf Green to Ruby/Sapphire thus unlocking Deoxys.
Also in this game, are a lot of little things that make gamers jump for joy. The wireless adaptor, using Bluetooth technology, can let gamers verse eachother from 33 feet away through walls. You can now verse up to 64 other players! Thats right. 64. Also important, if you stop playing for awhile, is the addition of game playback. It lets you watch what you were doing before you shut the game off. You can even save text so you know what someone said that was important. The bike makes a ringing noise (but it gets annoying after awhile). There are hundreds of invisible, hidden rare items scattered throughout the region. The original 386 Pokemon will all be cath-able. You can trade Pokemon from Fire Red/Leaf Green to Colleseum. And all of the Shadow Pokemon in Colleseum to Fire Red/Leaf Green.
Suggestions: I suggest starting with bulbasaur, as it will easily win the first few gyms. I also suggest buying a strategy guide, as you probably wouldn't find every thing without it. I finally suggest buying the game through Amazon, as buying it anywhere else woud be very embarrassing.
Overall, the game is great, but I still don't like thinking about how I've already beaten this game and it's not worth playing. It's extremely addictive, I spend hours fumbling through dungeons, so prepare to invest a lot of time beating it. (too bad it came out after school starts)!
ENJOY!!!!!!!!
id rather get Pokemon FireRed than a computer

I got 2 play FireRed at walmart (they only had FireRed to try) and it was asome with the graphics and the sounds. i love how they used the old and new versions to combine and make the altimate game. The only thing i didnt get to try out was the wireless adapter becuze it hadnt been sold yet and plus there was only one FireRed in the store. (...)i still love playing the pokemon gameboy games. U can nevr be to old to play pokemon.
Awesome Games!

I've played every one of these games(at least for gameboy) since I was 6 or 7. Pokemon Red was the first gameboy game I owned. I got the trainer's guide, and you can link with Ruby,Sapphire, Colliseum, and Pokemon Box. From the screenshots I've seen, It appears to have wonderful graphics, and includes at least 1 new place. Hopefully, this game will not generate as many rumors as the original. There were Hundreds of those! I Hope this game is as good as the orginal, which I played until it didn't work right anymore.
Remake not as fun

I love pokemon in the day and when I heard about pokemon red was being remade I knew I had to try it but I ended up bored with it. The only new thing is the color and new trading system but was it really needed. The game is great but it was great before. If you never played pokemon red than buy this game but if you own red than stay with it.
A Good Game That Has a Lot of Potential

This game was an almost exact copy of blue and red version. The biggest differance in the first part of the game is tha attacks, pokemon, and trainer's names. Until you get towards the end it can get verrrrrry tiring. Then Bill will show up and start giving you rides to the hidden islands where you can get every singl pokemon made! Its new wireless adapter makes multiplayer gaming easier and more fun. It will give you over 20 hours of fun gameplay that doesn't end until you cacth'em all.
It's like they're reading my mind... Get out of my head!

The original Pokemon Red and Blue games for nintendo have always been my favorites in the series, and now the game's creators have improved on even that. This game integrates all of the improvements made in Pokemon Gold/Silver and Ruby/Saphire (Such as the much improved "backpack" inventory management system) into the much-beloved classic Red/Blue game. In addition, this game makes it possible to collect many of the monsters that are unavailable in Ruby/Saphire. A must-have for any Pokemon fan.
