1 major problem. TOO SHORT. If you can find somewhere to rent it do that. I beat it in an hour. This only Goes From the Sayian Saga through the end of the Frieza Saga! I waisted [money]on this game. Play Starcraft it is WAY better and is only like [less money]

Maybe if you like the series, but even then...

First off, i borrowed this game from my friend, would of given it to him the next day if it weren't for the weekend. This game to start out with, is short, poor coming to controls, annoying because its based on a ton of worthless side quests, and definatly not worth getting. I have played tons of games, but i think this game just doesn't cut it. Even a huge dbz fan couldn't say its great. Get it if you love the series, then it might not be a waste. But as a game, i really can't say anthing nice about it. It just doesn't cut it, sorry.

pretty good!!

The game was a little too short and there should have been more playable characters but the graphics were very good. I liked the music and I had a lot of fun playing this game and I highly recommend this game to players of any age above 5.

Dragon Ball Z, a great show, an alright GBA game.

I've played DBGT Final Bout for PS1, and I thought legacy of goku would be similar. It's short, but fun. However, there are tons of glitches that make the game way to easy. It barely follows the storyline, and the Kamehameha blast was NOT taught by King Kai. You walk way too slow, you have limited flying energy, and not having multiplayer game-link compatibility makes the whole purpose of getting better meaningless. The Saiyan saga is easy, the Namek saga is hard, and the Freiza saga is kinda hard. I can almost call it a dissapointment. Don't get me wrong, DBZ is awesome, but The Leagacy Of Goku could have used some major improvements. The Kamehameha wave dissapears halfway across the screen, and you can only go up to level 25. Nintendo is probably going to make a few sequels,(The Leagacy Of Trunks, The Legacy of Piccolo, etc.) but if this is how they started, the sequels can only get better. ( At least we hope!) If the upcoming Gamecube, Playstation 2, and Xbox DBZ games will be like this, they're wasting time and money and are scaring off fans. Infogrames [messed] up here. The CCG video game is better.

The first handheld DBZ game

The very first DBZ handheld game is making itself look good. Even though the graphics and video clips look awesome, the game is short, however, also very fun and challenging. You can hear Goku yell "Kamehameha" if you charge it up enough. The Saiyan saga is pretty easy, the Namek saga is very hard, and the Freiza saga is kinda challenging. It would be better if it was longer and harder, but this is what we end up with. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, it just could have used some improvments.

Dragon Ball Z: Legacy of Goku......

Before I begin, I just want to state that I bought the 2 game pak that had The Legacy of Goku I & II on the same game pak but I'm reviewing them separately.

Dragon Ball Z: Legacy of Goku is an action-RPG that pretty much follows the DBZ plotline as it is with the anime. The game begins with Goku at Master Roshi's as he watches his son get kidnapped before his eyes. It's up to you, as Goku, to get your son back and that takes you to several places in the storyline. While not a lengthy RPG(it's a 10 hour trek), by any means, it does have its' moments. Yet, those moments are marred by the games' inability to be clear as to it's objectives to further progress through the game & the fact that the action in the game isn't as 'over-the-top' as the anime is. Considering it is an action-RPG, I figured the fighting would be done in a style similar to Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories but without the card- battle element and you'd have to do a button/directional pad combination to execute your special moves & a shoulder-button to charge up the move. Sadly, it wasn't like I envisioned it to be. On a side note, none of the games in the Legacy of Goku trilogy was like that. Still, despite its' uninspired and unclear gameplay, Dragonball Z fans will like this game. I did. The quest is enjoyable and the storyline is good. Although, I'll have to admit, this game is the one I least liked in the series. Hardcore RPG fans won't find too much meat to this game. Thankfully, the series gets better with the second installment.

Fun but a little boring

There game is fun and all but u die to fast. I am a dbz fan and i know about the shows and goku dosn't get beaten that fast. It's fun that you get to walk around all over the place but get real you don't even get to use the kahmehameha attack right before you fought nappa and radit Vegeata. Goku learned to use it since he was a kid. And if u know nothing about dbz u r want to return it. So only buy it if enjoy dbz and u don't mind getting fustrated. One other thing dbz log2 and buu's fury is more worth buying
