Who's Think Triple Play 2002 it's a bad game?

I just don't know how the people can say: "Triple Play is a bored game" or "Triple Play it's a bad game, i think MLB or All-Star Baseball it's more good". I think that people don't know absolutly nothing about videogames, so please SHUT UP, if you gonna mean Triple Play it's a Bad game or a bored game.

This is just like all the other EA Sports games

BEST BASEBALL VIDEO GAME EVER MADE!!!The graphics are the best!Everyone should buy it.I'd give it more than a 5 star rating if it would go that high!

I just want to say that after having read the reviews about this game on this website I was a little apprehensive about shelling out [the money] for the game. However, I have had good success with EA on PS2, specifically the Madden, NCAA Football, and the best yet, SSX Tricky from EA BIG in the past, so I risked it. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoy Triple Play 2002. First, the graphics are beautiful renderings of the various ballparks and the details help make them special, like people standing in the aisles, jeering from the crowd, etc. The skies are gorgeous, remind you of a day at the ballpark. Most of the negative reviews I saw were that the game was difficult? Yes, they all are at first, but what decent games aren't. But with time and practice you will pick it up and I suspect enjoy it as much as I do. To help me learn it I started by creating all my own players for my favorite team and giving them very high attributes (especially speed and fielding) until I got familiar enough with the controls. Then you can back off the attributes as you get better. Fielding and baserunning are difficult at first but make sense once you get the hang of it, and actually give you more control than the other games. You will love stealing when you make it. I found the gameplay realistic despite what others suggested. In baseball you don't always make it to the groundball or run down the pop fly between right and center field. You don't always get a hit or pitch a strike. Like the real game of baseball it's a little harder to play than it looks. Anyway, Bob Costas doing play by play...what more could you ask for? I found myself doing some fist pumps after striking out tough batters in a pinch or smacking a homerun when it counted, that to me is a sign of a good game. So I agree with the previous reviewers in that its not easy. But it's worth learning. You just can't beat the graphics, gameplay (give yourself time), and the commentary. Sour points: slow framerate at times, ball blends with white uniformed pitchers at times and you lose the pitch, I saw the names/numbers backwards once on a homerun celebration between two players, too many line drives caught over the head of the cpu, and Costas singing "Take Me Out to the Ballpark"...funny the 1st time. Other than that a great game. Something to pull me we away from Tricky for a few minutes!

this game ruls! the graphics rock and the gameplay is a lot better. the statiums look better than ever and so does the grass and dirt. there is also only dirt clouds on the dirt area and not in the outfield too like last year's version. the people look real. even if you like more of a simulation this is for you because you can get homeruns but not as easily. the rosters are up to date except the white sox dont have kenny lofton. i highly recommend this game to any baseball fan.

This Game is one the best baseball for PS2. I wouldn't know on Xbox because looking at the graphic would be an insult to my eyes.You couldn't ask for smoother gameplay than this.Totally sweet. The best part about this game is the hitting and batting simulations which is awsome. I wouldn't get High Heat for 2 reasons:
Graphics aren't eye catching
The offensive game stinks on ice
ths is a must buy for all baseball and PS2 owners
WARNING:this game stinks on Xbox cause of the controller and graphics

This game makes you feel like your at the actual game. When you play a season it's like going to every major league baseball game every day. If you play a homerun derby it feels like your one of the fans as during a single game or season game. When you buy this think about it before buying this game. When I got this game I thought it would stink but it's better than Triple Play 2001 because the players look more realstic.

The detail that's in the graphics of this game are amazing. Every players pitching style, batting stance and swing is imitated to match the real player. The detail of the stadiums is very impressive also. I've have no complaints about how the game plays. I've had 15-0 games, and 2-1 games in extra innings. Players draw walks and hit home runs at a similar pace to a real season. If you love baseball, you should love playing this game.

Having owned every Triple Play game from '96 to 2001 for the playstation 1, I initially skipped TP 2002 for ALL STAR BASEBALL due to the poor reviews after getting a PS2. While ALL STAR is a really good baseball game, TP '02 still has that "at the ballpark feel" to it that no other game has. The gameplay is not awesome but it is really good. Yes, like other reviewers have stated, the players heads are slightly too big for the bodies while they are batting. But aside from that flaw, the graphics are the best ever seen on a baseball video game. For players looking for a more "true to life" game by maybe getting 4 or 5 hits in 9 innings, get ALL STAR. But for the most fun, TRIPLE PLAY is still the best.

TRIPLE PLAY BASEBALL IS ONE OF THE MUST OWN BASEBALL GAMES! I LIKE HOW THEY HELD BACK A YEAR AND NAMED THIS YEAR 2002. IT JUST GOT TO DAMN ANNOYING LISTENING TO PEOPLE NAMING THEIR GAMES A YEAR AHEAD OF ITS TIME! THE GRAPHICS ARE VERY GOOD, THEY DON'T STAND UP AGAINST POWER HOUSES LIKE GT3 OR MGS2, BUT THEY ARE STELLAR. THE GAME PLAY IS GREAT IT JUST GETTING WRAPPED UP IN A 162 GAME SEASON IS ENOUGH TO GET ME TO BUY THIS GAME, BUT YOU CAN ALSO MATCH UP WITH A FRIEND AND SLUG IT OUT IN A GAME OF HOMERUN DERBY. ALSO ANOTHER THING THAT ANNOYS ME WITH OTHER TITLES IS THAT THEY NEVER SEEM TO KEEP THE ROSTERS CURRENT. TP2002 ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE RIGHT ON TOP OF THE ROSTER ISSUE. EVERYBODY IS INCLUDED. THE SOUND IN THE GAME IS ABOUT AVERAGE AND I LOVE HOW THEY GOT BOB COSTAS AND HEROLD REYNOLDS TO TAKE OVER THE COMMENTARY. IT WAS ABOUT TIME THAT THEY GOT RID OF THOSE OVER USED JIM HUGHSON AND BUCK MARTINEZ. IT SEEMS LIKE THEY SAID THE SAME THING IN TP99-2001. THIS WAS A MUCH NEEDED IMPROVMENT FOR THE SERIES. WELL IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHICH OF THE BASEBALL GAMES TO GET THIS YEAR, TAKE IT FROM A BIG BASEBALL FAN AND PLAYER, THIS IS DEFINATLY THE GAME TO SPEND...WELL EARNED [MONEY] ON!
