I agree with the "BOO" guy the graphics are AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS2 is so much better then Gamecube and has at least 10 better football games then this piece of JUNK!!!! The announcers are annoying and the Games are EXREMELY BORING Y'ALL!!!!! ....PS2 is Better...!! This game is Just AWFUL..... Buy PS2 BUY BLITZ Y'ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...Y'ALL Best not waste your Money on THIS ............Y'ALLLLLL!!!!!!1

.... The franchise is great, the best in any football game. I like the create-a-player, Madden cards, and more. It's just a great game all around. Whether this is your first game (like me) or your twentieth, this game is great for anyone who likes football. ... Now its really worth it.

NCAA gameplay is better, but overall realism Madden wins. GAMECUBE owns for this, faster loading, gameplay seems smoother, and graphics better than PS2. Gamecube is THE system.

I bought this game the day it came out for my brand new Gamecube system. It instantly became my favorite game for the system, and I could find absolutely nothing wrong with it.
A year later, I buy Madden 2003, and now I realise that this game is not as good as it seemed. The computer is not very smart at all, Screen plays don't work with anything, and the controls feel pretty awkward. If you can get past that, it is a completely solid game that can steal hours from your life.

This Game is awesome. Fun game with awesome gameplay. You can Pick hundreds of plays throw long-balls run the distance with realistic plays Unlike BLITZ 2002. Franchise mode is amazing...You can make Custom teams with their own cool LOGO And stadium and uniform .. In Franchise mode you can play great football games with your very own team . You control every thing From Trades to Resigning players for up to 7 seasons. In franchise mode there is a actual offseason where you can sign free agents and draft rookies........... 2 minute drill is very fun for winning Madden CArds (you use madden cards like cheat cards For example there is a 5th down card) The game has great Graphics and good annoncers like JOHN MADDEN and PAT SUMMERAL. For 1st time users you can use.. easy play ..which is a great beginners way to play football games................I recommend this game for football fans who like pretty realistic football...

This is the best football game ever.it has good graphics good sound and good controlls. don't listen to any of the low rating people, they haven't even played the game as ussual they rate it low because its on gamecube. but the truth is this game is best played on gamecube since it has better framerate and all that.
this game is also more realistic than Blitz. you can also create your own team design their uniform and logo then you can play them against other teams. The only bad thing is you need a new memory card if you want to save everything in the game, but you don't necessarily need it to play it so it isn,t that bad you can still save.
Be sure your not wasting your money on this game.If your still not sure just count how many have rated them hi against the ones that rated them low.

now i have known about football games for yearsand i always thought that they would be tricky, unrealistic, and nothing like the real thing. but when i got a trial version of NFL fever 2002 for my xbox I fell in love with football games on a consol. the reason i got madden and on my gamecube was, i heard madden was better & i like the gamecube controller better. am i ever glad i did, the game is way better than fever and the AI is way better.
This is a must have for any gamecube owner!!!

Madden 2002 is a good game, but there are things that tick me off when I play:
1. Too many dropped passes. Passes that should be caught all the time, or 99% of the time, are routinely dropped. Passes caught in traffic are also dropped more than they should be.
2. The fastest players get run down from behind. Can't tell you how many times Isaac Bruce should have scored only to get run down by someone with a speed of 85, even with turbo on.
3. No separation between recivers and DB's on long passes. Think you can score like the Rams with long passes where Torry Holt has about 8 steps on the DB? Not here he won't, ever. Might actually drop the pass as he gets hit.
4. If the CPU has the ball with less than 2 minutes to go, if will score 90% of the time.
5. Good luck getting sacks from top-flight DE's or DT's (Even if they are "pass rushers") Constantly get blocked by less than great O-linemen.
6. CPU players that blow by your DB's for 80 yard TD's.

I still play it almost every day, and the graphics are very good. Commentary is annoying at times, definitely not as deep as I've seen on the NFL2k series or Fever 2002 on X-box. Good enough, but I expect better gameplay next year or I won't buy it again.
