gameplay is well over a month, and with the construction set is virtually limitless this is the altime game of this year. anything is possible from owning a shop, guild, or castle, to having a gang of killers, murdering people left and right. the editors is just as good as the game unless you dont like making your dreasm game come to life. this is truly the altime game of the year with the best
graphics
gameplay
construction set
and music making it the game of the year.

The game is great, and definitly worth playing if you can get it going, I've had minor crash issues, but normally, they only occur after a long session of playing, 6-7 hours solid playing, the game does need some serious hardware though, I'm now running a 1.8P4, with 256Mb, and a Geforce 4 128Mb - allows all the bells and whistle, and bot is there some eye candy, initially I was using a Geforce 2 64Mb, and had to tone down the effects, no nice water, no sunrises, no hot relections.
So as I say in the title, make sure you can return the game if your not sure it'll run on your system.
Daggerfall is MUCH MUCH better!!!

all the other reviews talk of how HUGE the world is in this game but it is extremely small when compared to its predecessor Daggerfall. Dgrfall had about 9 or 10 provinces in it with hundreds of cities in each province. Mrwind is only that one stupid little island with stupid/short dungeons. In Dgrfall i literally had to start over because i would get lost in the dungeons for weeks. i still enjoy playing Dgrfall. The graphics in Morwind are definitely superior, but that is all it has. I killed a few guards and now my character can't walk into any town without getting the ... beat out of him. in dgrfall, all i had to do was go to another province and things would be all right. dgrfall is a much much better game and i would highly recommend that as the best rpg game ever. morrowind has amazing graphics but the world is too small and not enough creatures.

seems to me alot of people have given this game 5 stars cuz there true rpg players and the others give it 1 star because there just not the rpg type. and theres nothing wrong with that. but in my opinion an rpg is a game with freedom fanticy world that requires pationts. through this game using pationts u can recieve SO much fun out of it but not all people look at it that way and get fusterated with intisapation. looks like the people who gave the lower ratings didnt have the pationts to play this rpg but i promise u is this game is a load of fun if its the right game for u.
i played diablo... it was fun till i beet it through to hell difficalty with most of the classes and got a frew level 70s wich didnt take that long and got very boring about half way through. with this game the fun will hardly ever end with a long story line + a wonderful replay system. not to mention the graphics (makes me drool) and a world bigger then "dark age of camelot". also the way the combat is done so it doent include that dreadfully lame everquest's "auto-attack" ...and then my favoret feature, the astonishing freedom of choice that really takes u into its role playing fanticy world :)
money pit.

My review will be short, full of acid and to the point. This game was suppose to tbe a crhistmast preasent from my mom and dad only to find out that the screen only goes up to 24 true color. Now I have to buy a new video card so I can play it and say if I like it or not.
READ THE SYSTEM REQUIRMENTS CARFULLY!!! and for those of you who have enough money to burn and have intel 4's and windows XP well good for you but us mere mortals don't have that kind of money to spend.

The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind is the best game I have ever played. You can virtually do anything that you want like walking around killing the populous or following the main quest and being the games legendary hero. There are plenty of other quests you can follow and you can join guilds to become an even more in-depth citizen of the island of Vvardenfell. If you get tired of searching the game for great weapons or other stuff you can just use the editor to make yourself the extra super-powerfull weapons that you need to beat the final enemy: Dagoth Ur. Unlike many other games, Morrowind's editor is extremely user friendly making altering the game for your better intrest a piece of cake. This game is far superior to any other RPG on the market. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

I don't own this game, but I've played a couple of times. Fpr anyone who know what they are, this game is like a visual M.U.D.
(check out a cool one at retromud.org). It's very open ended, letting you explore the world and generally goof around. It has awsome graphics, and very realistic weather.
