What if you woke up on a ship not knowing who you are or what you are or were you came from. Then you find out that you just got out of prison for murder and you don't remember a thing! When you arrive, you're at a village called Sayda Neen. That has many new people to met things to see, swords to collect, and spells to learn. When you learn that you have magical powers you can find some magical items and magical anything!
In this game you get to make your very own character that is a dark elf, wood elf, khajit (like a human leopard), imperial, high elf, and angordians (man lizards). You get to make up your own name and play as that character in 1st person view, (through your characters eyes) or 3rd person view witch is when you can see your character. As your level gets even higher and you face even higher-level monsters and creatures, the game gets a little harder but your leveling up so it's not to hard!
There are new things happening all the time like murders, robberies, people that put a hit on some one else. People will ask you to kill someone for them or even steal something for them. You can either do it for them or kill them for the guards. Guards are high level "police" you might say. In this game it is very hard to kill a guard because they are level 10-20 but when you get past those levels you can just walk right trough and slay them all.
This game is so addictive and is really fun. The bad thing is that this game is rated T for teen and that makes it bad because there is some kids parents that wont let them play T rated games because "it teaches them bad things". Alls I got to say is that they are missing out big time! I still recommend this game for any one who likes mid-evil games.

Morrowind is one of my favorite video games of all time. Bloodmoon is a good expansion, which adds a number of new elements. On the positive side, Bloodmoon gives you some more wide-open spaces to explore. It's a beautiful place, like parts of Vvardenfell, and the new architecture goes well with the scenary. The main quest is interesting, though a bit drawn out, and there are some nice side-quests. For mid- to upper-level characters, there are some good challenges. Also, some new armor, weapons, and magic items have been added. Modders should especially appreciate what Bloodmoon brings to the great big world of Morrowind.
On the not-so-positive side: Some of the storyline, especially with building the colony, drags along. The island is overstocked with hostile flora, fauna, and random humans that respawn way too quickly. The werewolves are adequately done, but lack variety and are certainly not very scary. As with Morrowind, you'll need a strong computer, but still be prepared for lower framerates (in blizzards) and the occasional crash to desktop.
Overall, Bloodmoon adds a lot to an already incredible, groundbreaking role-playing experience. If you liked Morrowind, you should definitely like this expansion.
Pretty Terrible -(Get it?)

Ladies and gentlemen, I have some terrible news. Morrowind, the third chapter in the Elder Scrolls saga, has proven to be one of the biggest PC let-downs in history. The game is a definitive example of what happens when endless opportunities meet horrible gameplay. By endless opportunities I mean that our good friends at Bethesda Softworks spent countless hours developing an amazingly beautiful and immersive 3d world...one in which you can go anywhere and do almost anything.-Open ended, epic world and events. - Though I did also say horrible gameplay...and Morrowind suffers immeasurably from just that. The fighting system is agonizingly weak. Unless you have a great weapon and awesome abilities with that weapon, you're going to spend a great deal of time getting [beat] by some of the games lowliest creatures. Also - There are so many spells and enchantments to use that it gets overwhelming trying to remember what does what and how to use it. Not only are the spells too many, but the interface with which to use them is cumbersome and annoying as well. You get stuck in these skirmishes, and you're struggling to attack and switch spells at the same time while your enemy(impossible to outrun) beats you down with little effort. _ Like I said, the world is very beautiful and the characters are amazingly detailed, but all this is lost as the game tries to run before it can walk. I'm sure geeks with nothing to do with their lives will have a fun time modding this one to death and spending every hour playing it until their character can stand up to the game's foes. But for the rest of us, crap on that. - - In short, Morrowind's designers tried to stuff 5 pounds worth of greatness into an 11 ounce box.** Too much at once for any gamer who doesn't think an aggravation induced stroke should be part of epic fantasy gameplaying. - Buy at your own risk.
THE MOST ENTERTAINMENT FOR $20 IN THE WORLD!

After completing and enjoying Diablo II & Lords of Destruction, I was looking for another game with more of the same but with up-to-date graphics. Morrowind is kind of like Diablo II but the game world is so huge and there are so many characters to interact with and give you side quests that the game drags forever. The graphics are beautiful and extremely detailed but that is the problem...too much things to see and do that there are so many lulls in between. You can talk to 10 characters straight and not get a side quest or get a hint of what to do next. This massiveness also makes it easy to forget what quest you're on when another is given to you. However, this game may appeal to those who feel Diablo II and its clones are too simplistic and console-like.

When I started playing Morrowind I was having an absolute blast. The sheer diversity and size of the game made me giddy. I played an entire array of different classes and races. I especially like the ability to create your own class. The game was fun and interesting, but it became tedious and unchallenging. It got to the point where your character will be all but invicible and the game loses its magic.
WOW this is great!!

This game is great,I dont have it yet but i played my friends. I was just getting to the second town when I stopped but so far the game was great. One of the coolest things getting to make your own player with any face u want, any hair want, and any beard or mustache u want. You can be over 30 different races and be tons of people(Example: a thief a knight etc.). Whats also cool is that u dont have to follow the main story. You can unlock doors to houses and kill the people inside and steel all there stuff, or help people(but why help someone when u can take all there stuff).

There is rivalry between the great houses, cults and necromancy is on the rise. Will you bring peace to the world? Are you the prophesied one? Come and explore the land of Morrowind and get set for quite the adventure!
How do I start?
You begin the game being rescued from a prisoner ship. Why were you released? You'll find out later if you choose to follow the storyline. (yes it's optional) From the ship you will get to choose your race, sign you were born and character type. There are various ways of determining your character type. You can answer questions that will decide for you, pick from a list, or fill out the forum yourself. There are many races to choose from including Dark Elf, High Elf, Wood Elf, Imperial, Red Guard, Orc, Nord, Breton, Argonian (lizard), and Khajiit (feline). All having their own strengths and weaknesses.
I got my character, now what?
Talk to people. You will see how much they like you by their persuasion towards you. Some species are better off than others in this regard. You can raise your speechcraft skill but other ways to gain peoples trust is to help or bribe them. You have a reputation meter, the more people you help the more famous you will become. The best way to get people to like you is to join guilds and climb up the rank ladder by performing tasks for the guild.
Guilds:
Blades (spies)
Fighter's Guild
Imperial Cult
Mages Guild
Morag Tong (Assassins)
Temple
Thieves Guild
How do I increase my attributes?
There are many attributes you can assign and specialize your character in. You can increase these attributes by using them, getting trained, or by reading certain books. The best way to get experience is to hunt or fight monsters. When you join a guild, get trained by them. The more they like you the cheaper the rates will be.
What kind of quests will I go on?
The story line is open ended in this game. You can follow it or do your own thing. Often times you will be asked to help other people out in various ways. The guilds you join will have you do tasks to gain rank. Some of these quests include killing robbers, solving murders, stealing valuable items and artifacts. Walking down the main roads you have opportunities to help unite love birds, and escort people to rough areas. There is so much to do in this game, the list goes on!
Appropriate?
From a Christian perspective this game has violence. You will definitely have to kill various monsters. Killing people can usually be avoided, often times you can settle things peacefully via bribe or working things out. Some guilds like the Fighter's Guild or Morag Tong Guild require you to execute people or thieves. There is also a thieves guild which requires you to steal items. Basically, you are as good of a character you choose to be. You do not have to join any guild, but they do have their advantages. There is some swearing and alcohol/drug use in the game. There is a club call House of Earthly Delights with female dancers wearing only bra and underwear. Magic use is prevalent in this game. Again you don't have to use it, but it will be used on you. There are references to necromancy and vampires too. Finally some symbols found in the game are obelisks and the crescent moon.
Overall experience\Ease of use
This game is easy to install and play. When talking to characters in the game there are hot topics that you can click on and get more information from them. To move around you use the WASD keys and the mouse to look. You can play in first or third person perspective. The graphics are AMAZING! The world is very realistic, you will experience different weather conditions from fog, to sand storms, night and day etc. The character and armor detail is great too. They re-use many of the faces, so many of the guards look alike. My only complaint with the graphics engine is that it loads often and it can be slow at times.
The sound and EAX effects were the best in any game I have ever played. The voice acting was great and the musical score was very well done. The collector edition has a music CD, but for everyone else you can convert the mp3's or listen to them as is. Stability wise this game could use a little tweaking. It did crash to my desktop once, but what gets me is that it does not alt-tab very well. The AI can use some help too. There are a few quests where characters want you to escort them to someplace or someone. Every time I had to backtrack only to find them running into a bush or around in circles. It's a bit annoying, but oh well.
This is a single player only game. There is so much to do, I doubt you'll get bored anytime soon. There are some official MODs released for the game, and MANY unofficial ones. Some of the unofficial ones allow you to become a Jedi or a ninja and use their actual weapons. You'll definitely get your money's worth in this game! It's a good game but I recommend it only for teens and adults.
Another great game that might have been from Bethesda

Like its predecessor, 'Morrowind' promises great things, shows potential for achieving those ends, and fails. The gameplay itself is superb, with open-ended character development and a large game world which allows for countless hours of exploration.
And also countless hours of desktop crashes (which require a reboot), horrendous lag/framerate problems and everybody's favourite memory from 'Daggerfall,' the fall through the world. Actually, PRIOR to the patch, I didn't experience much by way of CTD, but now it occurs after about 15 minutes of game play, and without fail. Maybe in 6-12 months the game will be sufficiently patched to achieve stability, allowing me to return to the wonderful world-setting Bethesda has created. Until then, however, the CD will have to collect dust. Even with a high-end system configured to run this game efficiently, I have yet to be able to experience "Morrowind" without extraordinary frustration and disappointment.
Another good expansion
