As probably the only fan of the TV show that I know of, I couldn't wait to purchase #2. We already owned no.1 and I like it, so I got my chanc4e when they went on sale. Although I do better on the computer than I do playing along with the TV; (I have too much of a life to log on while watching the real show on TV) I find the questions tougher on the PC especially the first five.
My wife said that when everyone gets sick of Regis, and they cancel the show , they'll be giving these away. And she was right: For a while they had the full-version (not a demo) CD Rom inside of Specially marked cereal boxes. (I'M not kidding).
All in all, an excellent game, one of my favorites. The negative comments from others, are well taken; I agree with some, but that doesn't bother me.
A great game and lots of fun!

I am a game show fan, and feel a shortage in the modern world of Windows 95/98/Me/2000 of game shows. A few are cropping up and I like the Who Wants To Be a Millionaire show and decided to get the Gameboy Color version first. I enjoyed it and decided to get the PC version.
I had trouble. It wouldn't run and no live tech support is available on weekends, the website helped to identify the problem and downloaded the patch for Pentium 4 systems and it flew. Go to the website if you have any problems starting this game. The graphics are superb and Regis' funny demeanor and voice are there. I didn't mind reading the questions, speech takes an awful lot of disk space and there's enough speech anyway. I'm never good at the fastest finger question and am glad there is a 1 player option. The questions are just like the show, varied, with some I know and some I have to look up or ask someone; thank goodness for the pause feature! The music, look and ambience is almost exactly like the show and is fun whether you win or lose, with Regis' trash talk.
The negatives: Why the timer? If they don't have one in the game, they don't need one in the CD-ROM version! One person took over 50 minutes on the show on one question! Why should we be punished?!?! (Again, thank goodness for the pause feature!) There is no way to skip the lengthy introductory credits; we know who made the program, let us skip to the game like Hasbro does for their gameshow CD's! If you take too long putting in your name, the game will force one in; I was talking to someome at that point and the game put a name in! I had to start over, watching the annoyingly long intro credits! Sometimes Reege chatters too much between questions; I like him fine, but maybe a "chatter" setting should be implemented so if you're in a hurry to move the game along, you can. The "trash talk" is still fun.
These are very strong negatives, but this is a terrific game and the negatives detract only slightly, hence the 4 star rating. It is still a lot of fun once the game is going. Lastly, I mean no offense by saying this so please don't take this too seriously: you know you can't really win the million dollars. It's a CD-ROM game for the computer, already! Even Reege himself says so after you win the virtual million dollars! Here's a reminder for people disappointed in not winning real money: TAXES!!! This is just for fun, and that's exactly what this game is, a lot of fun!

Just received this and it said on Amazon website that it works with windows XP but it doesn't. The box says windows 95 and 98. And there was a contest registration that expired in 2000! So this game is very old and doesn't work on XP despite what Amazon says.

this is a boring game where all the questions are just repeated over and over. every time you get a answer you hear regises dumb voice making som idiotic comment. IT is ok the first couple of times you play it but after that it gets really boring. You would be better of playing it at a friends house or renting it or somthing but deffinately dont buy it.

I just recently recieved my copy of Millionaire 2nd Edition which I ordered a few days ago and it is the best one in my opinion!
I had the 1st, 3rd, and Sports edition but I never had the 2nd edition. All are good games but my favorite is the 2nd one. My second favorite is the 3rd edition.
The second edition comes with LOTS of challenging questions and will actually make you think! The others, you don't find to hard. Also, in some of the other games, especially the 3rd edition, they don't have a lot of the sounds and music that they do on the show. The second edition comes with every single sound and piece of music and brings the show together.
If you don't have a Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? computer game series collection, I suggest you start with the 2nd edition.
It's ok, but not great

This game is ok. The questions are not exciting at all. I was really disapointed that regis did not read the questions to you. And i got annoyed at all the ranamized sayings he would spit out, that dint match up to the situation at times. They also put a 60 second time limit on each question. The lifelines work pritty good. For basic trivia players and regis lovers this is fine.
HORRIBLE!

I bought this game about a year ago for a good price...but guess what it's done for a year. It's sat on my shelf and collected dust. If you haven't gotton my point already...THIS IS A TERRIBLE GAME! First of all, if you think Regis is annoying on T.V.... Also, the questions are almost IMPOSSIBLE to answer. (However, I am only a kid, so adults might argue with that last comment.) Also, if you don't answer the fastest finger question right after a few tries, the game exits! All in all, even though this game is priced good, it's REALLY bad. I'd give it -5 stars if I could.
It's Cool

I Like the game, but I do not like how the questions are repeated over and over again. I also don't like how it doesn't let you walk away and take the money at any question U want. It also doesn't ask U if that is U're final answer at every question. This game is good if U have patience.
