I didn't buy the first game based upon the reviews I read here. Most reviewers spoke highly of the second edition so I couldn't pass it up. I'm glad I did! The game installed without a hitch. The graphics are pretty good and the sound is great! I did about as good on the game as I do watching the show so I guess it's a "realistic" experience! Best of all, the price is right. I've paid a good deal more for games not half as entertaining. Go ahead - you know you want it!

Well, I when I first played who wants to be a millionaire, I was on ABC's website. In school I would go down to the library and play it. I bought it. I loved it. I would play it day after day and still do sometimes. When I heard that they were going to be releasing a 2nd edition i about died. I was so excited and anxious to get it. When I did get it, I started to play it even more. I gave Who Wants To Be A Millionaire 5 out of 5 stars. The Sound is realistic, the graphics are just clips(nothing extraordinary), but the lasting appeal and fun makes uo for the rest of teh stuff. I would recomend this game to anybody that like to watch and play along with the REAL Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Thanks for your time!
Arrrrgh!!!! Make the pain go away!!!!

After suffering through the first "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" game, I felt hopeless. I was dazed and confused. I didn't have a whisper of hope for the future of humanity. And then I saw the second game in the series on the shelves. I said, "I'd heard the questions aren't repeated as much", and I decided to buy it just to see if it was true.
It's true, the questions aren't repeated as much as before. The problem is, now they're MUCH harder! It's impossible to get anything higher than $16,000 now! And since the questions don't repeat, you'll never get to the top!
But what's the worst part? That's the ONLY CHANGE that was made to this game. NOTHING ELSE!!!!! It's as if the first game had no problems whatsoever! Regis is STILL appallingly rude and impatient, the "Fastest Finger" mode STILL doesn't let you put the four answers in order, the game STILL quits if you take too long to do things, you STILL can't skip the introduction sequence, the Phone-a-friend lifeline is STILL worthless, there's STILL no option to make the games easier or harder, you STILL only get instructions once, and there's STILL no option to use the mouse! Regis even says EXACTLY the same stuff as before!
I bought the game out of total curiosity, just to see if this game was really any better than the first. As it turns out, it is virtually the EXACT SAME GAME. It has all the problems of the first, except for one which was replaced by another one!
This game has not been improved one bit over the first. The makers didn't even try to improve it. This game displays total laziness and lack of creativity. It's not worth one second of your time.
Good but, not great.

After buying the first game, which was ok, I thought I would give the second one a chance figuring they would have greatly improved it. Found out though, once you have tried this game for more than ten minutes, sure enough the questions repeat themselves.
If you liked the first, and don't mind the repeats you will like this, however if you were annoyed with the first you will be annoyed with this .
My best suggestion is to continue to wait until the programmers wait and put more time and effort into the game instead of worrying about getting another out there on the market just to make more money.

The only reason I am rating it 4 star is - money is not real and the the stakes are low - makes you a little complacent.
Now then, on a scale of 1-10 (10 being metaphysical perfection and 1 being unmitigated disaster):
Price 10 Fun 9 Graphics 8 Predictability 7 Educational 10 Wide Age Appeal 9 (my 7 year old loves it) Win Actual Money 1 (money doesn't matter :-))
Worse than the first

Anybody who says this game is an improvement over the first one must have got a different copy than me. The difficulty level of the questions is TOTALLY OUT OF ORDER! Don't believe me? Sample $200 Question: What force would cause the ice cream to spin off the cone while on a twirling merry-go-round? Sample $300 Question: What biological process replicates DNA. They're not impossible to answer, but it's very annoying to get them so early on. Any die hard fan of the show (like me) knows that questions like that would never be asked that soon into the game. On the plus side, Regis, the graphics and the music are all first rate. It's just a shame that programmers couldn't get the questions right, again.

It's gonna drive me nuts, getting the first question wrong every time! These questions are hard, much harder than those in the original, and there's more of them, but I think they were having a hard time finding questions due to one particularly scary $200 question. How many eyes does a giraffe have? Gee, I don't know Reege, I think I'll ask the audience! For heaven's sake! But if you're a true fan of the show, like me, and have patience, unlike me, YOU WILL UNDOUBTABLY LOVE THIS GAME! Plus, it has more questions than in the original, Yay! :::clicks heels::: Enjoy!

First and foremost, this is one of the best under-$20 games out there. Even so, that doesn't mean it's great. The questions are too tough. Most are tougher than the ones on the TV show. An example is a $500,000 question on the show that was "What planet did Luke Skywalker of Star Wars come from?" Even if you didn't watch Star Wars more than once you probably know that. Now here's a $2,000 question from this game. "Who is the shortest person to ever win a NBA slam dunk competetion?" I'm a basketball enthusiast and I didn't know that. The other ploblem is there is no way you can compete with other people in the hot seat a la You Don't Know Jack. Although this might be more realistic as to what's on the show it adds more replayability to the game. The game's good points are very general. The game is just another quiz show from Jellyvision, the veteran devoloper of this genre. I think that this is their poorest concoction yet, however because the YDKJ series was so good. I guess we'll have to wait for a 3rd Edition to come out to try to address these problems
