I was really looking forward to this game, really! I returned my copy the same day I got it. I've played annoying games before, but nothing like this. The point of the game is that you're a stuntman doing car stunts for movies. Sounds cool, eh? Yeah, I thought so too, until I played the game and after making the smallest mistake during my run I had to sit through a really long load time, JUST TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN! The part I played before and after the loading was really cool and really fun, I just don't want to play a game where I watch the load screen more than I have a chance to enjoy my playing. If they came out with a "No or next-to-zero load time" I would go and get that right away. But games are supposed to fun, not staring-at-the-screen-...-off boring.yucko
Frustration is very strong is this game.

I mean the idea was great for this game. It was a deffenate buy for the GTAIII fans. But there was something obviously missing. It lacked in every thing that would get you going to the point where it just plain brought you down. The frustration is so intense it makes you want to cry. But if you can get past the screaming director or the countless mistakes its a pretty solid game.
Please, do not try this at home!

This game is awful. I was sickened by this game because the graphics [were bad]. This game should have been made for the PS One system. I loved "Test Drive" and trusting Atari, I rented this game. Do not pay attention to the commercial, this game really [is really bad]. If you want a good racing game, try "Test Drive" or "Gran Turismo 3." If you still want to spend money on it, I recommend renting it. Trust me this game will disappoint you. "Stuntman" just doesn't push the PS2 to the limit on graphics.

I tought this game is hard & bad, but I just
playing it and have fun with it. And when I
failed, I'll try it again and again till you
finish the mission. that what makes this
game AWSOME & AMAZING! I know that you'll need
a driving skills to Play this stuntman game,
but don't worry cause the director will tell you
what to do.And another Great thing about this game is that you
have to complette each stunt mission to get a
bonus items for use in the stunt arena.

Forget this game! Its the biggest waste of time and money! The stunts are made so that to complete them you have to do the damn things four or five times to get them right. Plus their timed stunts which adds to the frustration. If you hit an obsticale or somehow get stopped your time will run out and you'll have to do it over. And in some stages you have no idea where your going untill the last minute then your so off course that the stunt ends and you'll have to start over. Save your self the time and heartburn and rent this one, or purcase driver for the psx!

This game is so hard.If you fail something in the movie scene, you have to start over! Also, the director is always telling you to do something every five seconds! If you crash, you are likely to run out of time. When you have to go through gaps, you will probably crash into something. The second movie is impossible to beat. There are also turns every few seconds.Luckily I rented the game.If I were you,I would rent the game first.
This game is FRUSTERATING!!!

This game is so HARD!!!! On one level you have to chase a car, but you can't keep up with him unless you hit him, and you can't do that. The cars are annoying, too. The person you're chasing never even comes close to a car, but the cars come at you. Where is the logic in that??? I've been hit by a pickup, van, and a bus. Every time they have been coming after me!!!
Another problem is the camera. On another level the camera was stuck in one place and all I saw was a moving camera looking at a pile of dirt.
The good thing about this is that once you get the hang of it, it's fun. The graphics are great, and some levels are fun. The rest are frusterating.

This is great because all the different vehicles handle differently such as tank, sports cars and snow mobiels and so on. The vehicles take 10 mins to get the hang of and the car handling is close to perfection. The missions are innovative by having to go up ramps to land on to a moving boat and jumping through moving trains and alot more.
Most of the missions are impossible to do on your first go. I realy liked the James Bond type mission where your in a white sports car and your bombing it down the motorway whilsts dodging traffic then towards the end you go up a ramp to trash through office buildings windows. It gives you an addreneline rush especialy when on the motor way.
The bad thing is the loading times take something like 20 secs and that's twice as long as your average game and it happens when failing a mission so frustration might creep in but I was always looking forward to starting again.
Not all the driving bits are fun because you have to romote control your car in a birds eye view at 1 time and it tries to make you imagine the James Bond bit in Tommorow never dies or the world is not enough and it doesn't work.
This is worth buying if your intested in stunts.
A sorry excuse to show you some pretty neat trailers.

You can tell where 110% of the effort went to. There are some cool trailers for fictitious movies spread throughout the game. It's a neat feature surrounded by one of the lousiest and most difficult PS1 or PS2 games ever made.
Yup...it's been said many times before but it can't be said enough. This game is difficult! My friend and I were able to beat it but the difficulty made it a task instead of fun. You have to do a ridiculous number of stunts all in a row without messing up. It's both unrealistic and a real bore. You'll be pulling your hair out when you are on Take 44 of a specific scene.
The lack of variety doesn't help either. No jumping out of airplanes or racing speedboats or skiing down a steep mountain. Nope...that would've required some creativity on behalf of the developers. They had a one-track mind and you are almost always in a car (which controls HORRIBLY!). The graphics during gameplay are quite poor for a "next generation" system. It's a lot more impressive in the cutscenes but those videos just make the game look a lot uglier when you play it.
Even "Chase: Hollywood Stunt Driver" was more entertaining than this. I had no idea being a stuntman could be so unexciting. Jumping over the game disc on a skateboard or scooter would be more daring and fun than actually sitting down and playing this thing.
