Why is anyone reviewing this game if they haven't played it? Are you guys idiots? You sit there and say this game will be great, but the only reference you have is what the company putting out the game has said and what screen shots you've seen. Do us all a favor and SHUT UP! until you have played the game.

i picked this up in a bargain bin at a local video games store. my mistake. there are good and even great star wars games (kotor, star wars galaxies pre-cu), and there are terrible star wars games (star wars galaxies post-cu). this is totally horrible and isn't worth picking up for 5 bucks.

I got this game at my local Gamestop for $14.99 used, I had looked at the Amazon.com reviews, and they where good, I looked at the Gamespot.com reviews, and they called the game mediocre,
and they where right, the games concept is original, and the weapons are cool, but the gameplay just doesn't follow through, part of the reason is its excruciating difficulty, I spent 45 minutes on one level, and the only level I really enjoyed was Corusant, because you felt like you where really a bounty hunter, and I had to use cheats to get to that level.
This game could have been great, I mean come on what Star Wars fan Doesn't want to fly around as Jango Fett, collecting bounties before he gets his head cut off, the game needed many things, like difficulty settings, and being able to fly Slave 1.
The animations are very well done, but the neatness of the weapons, and the animations where not enough to keep me from returning it.
not too horrible...

if youre 12, i assume it isnt.i anticipated some halfway decent or complicated or well thought out game.what i got:cheesy movement and simple gameplay thats better suited to a 9 year old's tastes.altho the movie sequences in between levels are stunning you find yourself thrown back into a simple world with automatic aim, boring enemies and environments and very little to look forward to hunting down bounties etc...skip this.
Painfully average

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter.
INTRODUCTION:
Everyone knows that the Star Wars name is the ultimate in science fiction. Unfortunately, as far as video games go set in everyone's favorite galaxy far, far away, they have been hit and miss. For every excellent game like Rogue Leader, there's a crappy one like Masters Of Teras Kasi to bring the genre's name down in the dirt in the video gaming universe. The Episode II: Attack Of The Clones motion picture introduced us to an awesome character - Jango Fett, father of the classic Boba Fett. And in 2002, to accompany the film's release, a game was released in which the gamer could become Jango! Read on for my review of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter.
OVERVIEW:
Star Wars: Bounty Hunter was released in 2002. The game is one player, and features three-dimensional platformer-styled action. It is available for the Playstation Two and Nintendo Gamecube consoles.
REVIEW:
I have to say, I had pretty high hopes for this game, but was pretty disappointed. I was as happy as any other Star Wars fanboy, finally getting to play the role of Jango before his unfortunate decaptiation on the wrong end of Mace Windu's lightsaber. Essentially, this game is straightforward platform action. Jango travels through various scenarios on his bounty hunts, tracking various means of making a living in the galaxy. While the premise sounds cool, the whole idea kind of falls flat. It's much too straightforward and VERY repetitive. Horrible level design and the fact that you can't save whenever you want don't help things either. And did I mention the painfully-long distance between save points? And that the camera sucks, and you have no control over it? Even hunting down the extra bounties and secrets don't add a whole lot of appeal to the game. Jango's got plenty of cool gadgets and moves, which add to the game's appeal somewhat, but the fact of the matter is that the whole package just seems a bit on the generic side. The production, with great graphics and sound, can't mask the fact that this is a generic three-dimensional platformer. And besides that, there are much better Star Wars games out there. This one's only for Star Wars fanboys like myself who want every game, or for those folks who just can't get enough of platformer action.
EDITION NOTES:
This game seems to be out of print now, but fortunately, used video game stores seem to get copies in on a regular basis. In other words, you shouldn't have a whole lot of trouble hunting this game down, if you really want to get it.
OVERALL:
What needs to be said has been said. Excellent production can't mask an otherwise generic game over which the Star Wars name has been thrown. While this game isn't terrible by any means (it puts garbage like Teras Kasi to shame), there are Star Wars games out there that are considerably better than this one. Stick with those. This one's for Star Wars and platformer die-hards only.
Pretty Good Game Except For Some Minor Flaws

Don't get me wrong! This game is pretty good for the most part. I had heard a lot of things about it. I read magazines and all and it sounded cool. First off, I love Jango and Boba Fett. They are my favorite characters in the Star Wars legacy. I also liked the idea of being a bounty hunter. You could kill people, catch people, fly around, and most of all... be bad! So I went out one night and bought the game.
I got home and popped the disk into the Playstation 2. I began to play the game. The controls were pretty easy to master and I got the hang of them. I didn't really understand the point of the game though. I think you volunteer to go on a hunt for a renegade Jedi. You also are going against your arch-enemy bounty hunter, Montross. That's all I got.
Gameplay - It is very easy to master. It takes a few minutes and you've got the hang of it. Nothing too hard.
Gameplay - 94
Graphics - The graphics of the game are amazing! The cutscenes are nicely done and the environments are well done also.
Graphics - 96
A.I. - The A.I. in this game aren't that intelligent. They don't really do that much except shoot and throw grenades. They don't hide or take cover at all. Also, they are easy to kill. One shot with the blaster will do them in.
A.I. - 87
Weapons - The weapons in this game are not that bountiful. Sure, you do get Jango's dual pistols (unlimited ammo!), flamethrower, grenades, grenade launcher, sniper rifle, darts, and jet-pack missiles. Yet, that's it. You don't get all of those weapons in a level though. You would probably just have three with you. Also, when you want to tag a bounty. You have to holster all of your weapons to use it. You get shot at, when you are looking for bounties. It wasn't really helpful.
Weapons - 88
Jet-pack - When I saw this game, I thought to myself, "There has got to be that cool jet-pack!" I was right. Unfortunately, the jet-pack only lasts a few seconds and then refuels automatically. So, I wanted to fly around Coruscant or Tatooine (you don't even get the pack in this level). I didn't. I only got a few short bursts of energy.
Jet-pack - 84
Environments - The environments were very well done. They featured many things and different characters.
Environments - 94
Repetitive? - Yes, this game does get very repetitive. You just walk into a room, shoot people, find a key, open the door, walk in, and shoot more people. That's how it goes. The game does get fun at some times though (when you are fighting a boss).
Repetitive - 83
Overall - This game was pretty good except for some minor flaws. It does get repetitive and it is easy. So, I think you should rent it first. I should have done that.
Overall - 89/B+
Rated Teen for strong violence
...
TOO HARD - My 10 year old says game is too hard
