Half-Life is by far one of the best games ever created. Counter-Strike (one of the m0ds included with the game) has more than 2.5 times the amount of people playing Unreal Tourney, Quake III, and Quake Arena....combined.

This game is a great gift, and will provide years of enjoyment.

Those without Half Life are missing life itself.

This pack contains (arguably)the greatest games ever made: Valve's Half Life series. Regardless of which award winning title you are playing, you are sure to find the stunning graphics, sound, and ingenius AI and gameplay nothing short of outstanding. Four games are in this pack (a good deal) and I cant sum up the compilation anyway but this: ITS GOOD! GET IT!

This game rocks. Counter-Strike is the #1 internet multiplayer game. The graphics are intense and the action just makes u adicted. The #1 half-life game is the best. It has intense action with awsome details. This game is the must get game. So if u don't have it yet ur going to want it!!! This under my judgement so if u want to test it out buy it and see for urself.
U'll love this game and it will earn a special place in ur Computer games. This game has a lot of other bonus with it. Really it is like a whole game package. Give this game a chance and it will prove it was worth it!!

Still top dog in FPS games

In short, Halflife is THE game. Unparalleled as of yet and the multiplayer, well no one has even come close to matching that aspect of the game. Red Faction was supposed to be a challenge to Halflife's reign as top dog, but don't even get me started on harping on Red Faction, that would be another review altogether. Halflife is still the best and probably will be for a long time to come as no game has come anywhere close to rivaling Halflife in SP or especially in multiplayer.

No game out there has lived up to the hype of Half-Life. Some have tried mainly RTCW,MOHAA, and others in that catogory. To slam the graphics is a decent way to show how stupid you are, Half Life was created in 1999, three years ago, of course you would expect the graphics to be outdated but what you must look at is, the fact that after three years people are still willing and eager to pay $50 dollars. It just doesn't set standards for FPS but all computer games, no, all games in general. This Platinum edition is well worth the money if you don't have Half Life originally. For those who complain that it is too gory (I've bee seeng a lot of those complaints about games lately), well, you must realize that what you are seeing are thousands of red pixels and if you cannot stomach that you must return to the childrens section when you plan to buy a game.

In my mind, Half-Life embodies every aspect of any truly genius virtue. The level design alone is worthy of anyone's praise because every door, hallway, enemy position, and event represent a complete picture each participating its own example of use. The title certainly deserved its awards, and should be purchased by anyone who is artistic, violent, and thoughtful or intellectual. Not only are you slaughtering aliens, but also our very own marine corps who though following orders produce a threat to our protagonist, YOU, Gordon Freeman. Even though Gordon is the character you play as, the situation is seemlessly integrated and realistically portrayed as if you were Gordon and having to react with caution as yourself. Each character speaks directly to you and follows your movement. Not once do camera shots show your character. All in all, a great game, most valuable title I've seen in a long time.

The stellar single player action game challanges you to survive armed combat with aliens and government soldiers as you try to uncover a conspiricy worthy of something from the X-files. the game's cinematic presentation draws you into the action, and the well scripted story makes for an excellent game.

this games has it all. multiplayer and first person shooter. who can ask for anything more. the graafics are wonderful, there is hardly any lagging. i suggest that when u buy this game uu also buy the half-life:blue shift....

Half-Life, The Best!

#1. It operates well, even on older/slower PCs. No matter how good a game is, if it is frustrating to operate, forget it! It is engaging. It has humor. It continues, throughout the game to confront you with novel situations. Often, I was stuck in a section -- couldn't find a way out -- and then duh! The light comes on. Sometimes you are stuck in a section for a while trying to figure out how to defeat or get-around a superior forces.

The only thing I didn't like is when you had to jump, just so, and time things correctly. Fortunatly there was not much of that.

I liked the little touches, such as the little shrimps that bite you in the water. It just has an over all coolness factor.

If enimies are in the way or holding an area, there is always more than one way or wepon that will work. Sometimes it is like designing and running a football play. It is fun to save and then try different things to, for example, take out a machine-gun nest.

This was the most engaging and fun computer game that I've ever played. I also liked the Opposing Force pack.
