Half-Life is quite possibly the greatest computer game of all time and if you don't have this classic yet, be sure to nab the Platinum edition as soon as possible! This awesome package includes the full games of Half-Life and its addon Opposing Force along with the Team Fortress Classic and Counter-Strike multiplayer mods.

The great thing about Half-Life is its diversity. It has the #1 single player game out there and is the #1 played multiplayer game on the internet.

If you dont have half-life already, go shoot yourself

This has to be the most talked about game in the history of mankind. You get to kill stuff, but in style. And their is an infinite amount of modifications out there. Oh yeah, there is this little thing called multiplayer, i think some of you have heard of it. This thing has good multiplayer, if not the greatest ever invented. So if you dont already own it, buy this version, it comes with everything, at a darn good price!

I Was EXTREMLY impressed With this game!!
First Half-Life it's the classic game.Basically you a scientist who's try to stop aliens from taking the world over.(I know it sounds kind of chessey but it reall is fun)On top of aliens you have to take care of about 400 marines.Oy!
Next Opposing Force.Now you on the other side of things playing as a marine,You're tryin to seek and destroy Gordon Freemen (Main Charater from HL)on top of Aliens you have to fight the special forces.this game is fun.it has the original guns from Hl plus more like a fully auto Macine gun,a Sniper rifle,and a desert eagle.
Counter-Strike and team fotress are both Awesome multiplayer games!! the grapics are mind boggling and the detail of the guns is amazing!!!
This is a must have for any fan of a 1st Person shooter.

HL is an awesome game with many modifications out there. The CDis not worth the price they charge. Counter-strike, Team Fortress, and Opposing Forces all come with the HL game of the year edition CD. Well, TFC and OPF at least hehe. CS is free to d/l off the web any way. The game is great, go buy hl:goty and d/l the updates so u can play tfc, opf, cs, dod, or whatever you like for free off the internet lol. If you're dumb you'd buy this to tell you the truth

Unless you really want to play Op Force, all of this can be yours for less. Buy the plain orange box of 1/2 life and download for free all of the mods. Counter Strike started as a free mod and remains so. ONLY Llamas pay $ for CS.

Half-Life

3 Years ago Half Life came out. Now, there are 5 editions to the game. 2 Multiplayer games, and 3 single player. The orginal game was low in graphics, but GREAT in gameplay. The story line was great. In Opposing Force, the time was the same, you even run into Gordan. The graphics were better, but the game play once again was the best. Blue Shift came out last year(Not Included). It's a short game, it fixes the graphics in the rest of the games, but the gameplay of course is the best. Exitment around every corner. You never know what is going to happen next. Team Forces Classic is the mulitiplayer game that never ends. You pick your class from Enginner to spy. It's a great starter to anyones online gaming. Counter-Strike is basicly about Terroist (Great) and Counter-Terroist. Bomb targets, save people. A Great package.

This had to be one of the best games i have ever played and or seen for PC. Its just undiscribably good. First off, there is an awesome plot. Second, Its so realistic, it gets addicting.
Thats the single player game. For multiplayer, Counter-strike is THE COOLEST GAME THERE IS!! You can play with all your friends in a huge variety of scenarios dealing with good guy/bad guy. Opposing force is basicly the same thing, but u just rip on each other. Half life (single player) will last you a LONG TIME. I just beat it after 3 weeks of non stop addiction.
have fun...GET THIS GAME, ITS SOOO WORTH THE PRICE!

Alright, here's what you need to do. Look up "Half-Life: Platinum Collection" and put it in your shopping basket. Check out. Here's what you get.

Half-Life: The original and although somewhat dated graphically, it is still a cracking good FPS. The game is just fun to play from soup to nuts and loaded with atmosphere. The levels are more innovative than anything before or since.

Half-Life: Opposing Force This game got a 93% courtesy of PC Gamer and that is absolutely remarkable considering this is basically just a Half-Life mod, although a bloody creative one! You'll love the boot-camp sequence and hey, R. Lee Ermey is in it! What more do you need?

Counter-Strike: Still the most popular online FPS.

First there was Half-Life, a game released by Valve Software back in November 1998, and it was good, Then came Team Fortress, the multiplayer MOD add-on, and Opposing Forces; they were also good. Half-Life: Game of The Year Edition soon followed as did the Adrenaline Pack and Counter Strike. And now Sierra brings to the masses Half-life: Platinum Edititon, and it is terrific.

Although Team Fortress and Counter Strike are availabe for download this is still an excellent package that belongs on any first-shooter aficionado's shelf. The complete package contains Half-Life: Game Of The Year Edition, Opposing Forces, Team Fortress, and Counter Strike. To state that Half-Life is a brilliant game is like stating that the sun shines brightly in space. You have to own this game to appreciate it.

System requirements are a Pentium 133 with a 3D accelerator card as an option. The game can be run in software but I've always run it with acceleration. EAX and A3D are also supported for 3D sound as well.

Half-Life: Platinum Edition is well worh the dollars and is a perfect introduction to the Black Mesa universe.
