This game is so Over Rated...If these people really wanted you to play this game,you would'nt need all the so called "requirements" to play it.I just dont think it's as good as DOOM 3.Now I know why they called it FEAR.It's the FEAR your computer gets when you download it.I've played it on my Comp.It works fine except when I try to move left to right to shoot.Then it hesitates once in awhile,Never had any problems with any other Shooter Games til this one.But the discs do make good coasters.Anyway it's not all that special.Lots of other shooters that are better games(that allow you to play)so go that route.

I found fear to be one of the best games around now.It is a intense shooter and very challenging.But after playing games like FarCry,Boiling Point and GTA Vice City it seems to be a small step backwards in the gamming community.

At first I heard about this from a friend. I decided to go ahead and buy it to see how it was. I dont do much gaming during the day, mostly late at night before hitting the sack. I must say because I use a headset when playing games, I was pretty freaked out playing this game at some parts. Id be sitting on the edge of my seat, peaking around a corner to make sure the cost is clear, and all of a sudden a noise would screech and that freaky little girl would either create some sort of disturbing flashback, or just hover/walk past. The gameplay isnt that great but it's a decent game!

F.E.A.R. got pcgamer's "Best Action Game of the Year" award for a reason. The A.I. is increiable, slo-mo is k1c|<@$$, and the story's great. No downfalls, unless you're a WINNY LITTLE STAR WARS FAN!!!! WTF!!!?!?!??! In short, buy this game.

This game is awesome.

First,let's just say that the atmosphere is great , the guns are more "real" , the story is ideal and finaly the graphics are perfect.

I remember myself playing MaxPayne and then HalfLife2 and told myself that they were something different from the others.
But when I started FEAR I told that it was the combination of two but when I finished it turned to be better than the combination.

I bought this game at wal mart one day after it game out. I had never played this type of game before. I am a Sims 2 fan. Well I was really getting bored with my simmies so I thought hey I want this game. OMG I played at night all-alone and It scared me to death. I loved it. I was like into it so intense like and bam out comes that little girl and the walls turned to blood and omg it scared the you know what out of me. I would recommend this game to anyone over 18. It was so worth the [...] bucks I paid for it. And its like watching a dvd. The graphics are the best and the sound omg. It will be the best game you ever played.

Very good game.
Fantastic visuals.
Super attack scenes.
Great Artificial Intelligence.
On medium settings it's not too hard and not too easy; just about right!
The story is pretty good and while the puzzles aren't all that hard, there are hardly any really, the creepy value more than makes up for it.
If you like shooters with smart enemies and great graphics this is a fun game.

It's a solid game, multiplayer leaves a bad taste in your mouth though. Repetitive single player.

I am in the midst of playing this game. The only tacky event is that Mapes is still alive. I thought he died at the vault.

I'd take it down a notch because the story could have been told so much better than by finding and listening to "voice mail" on telephones... but the creepy atmoshpere and excellent level design make this a must-play
