ok here goes avid fan and player here and own all the games in this series.
graphics are great sound is great feel of the game is great story line so/so.
if you like a shooter game or should i say you like the old resident evil game survivor then this will be the game for you.
i bought the game due to collecting anything that deals with resident evil.
my biggest complaint is the mechanics of this game it took awhile to get used to and the switching back and forth gives me a headache.
that was the biggest down fall to the game as well as a so/so story line.
but the graphics thats what made the game also the sound to it gives the creepinss to the game and they did a great job just like the others in the series.
if you like shooters then this game is for you but if your like me and enjoy the old fashion resident evil games then it is not for you.
if you are collecting like me well then it is a must have for your collection.

Boring!!!!!!!

I bought this game because I am a HUGE fan of Resident Evil-I was disappointed however because it was so easy I beat this game on the hard setting in less than an hour-if you want my advice, buy one of the other RE games, but as for this one, leave it on the store shelf-it is not worth the 40.00 it costs.

Capcom is really getting on my nerves

Dear Capcom, you are really getting on my nerves. I am really upset with you about RE Dead aim and RE Outbreak. I think you are just getting lazy. I loved resident evil 2, 3, and code veronica, but the latest RE releases have been greatly disapointing. This game has too many problems (ie: length, blandness). Don't buy it, rent it first and then decide. I am not buying any more games produced by Capcom until they realease Resident Evil 4 for the Playstation2 as well as the Gamecube. For those of you who don't know, Capcom has announced that it will only be realeasing RE 4 for the GameCube and not the PS2 because of a contact they have with Nintendo. It is just plain wrong. I'm not buying a gamecube just for one game.

Good effort, but no

The Resident Evil series is renowned for reinventing itself through innovations, but Dead Aim has one of the riskiest new ideas yet: reliance on the GunCon 2 peripheral for shooting sequences. Unlike the first-person disaster Resident Evil Survivor, Dead Aim's diverse play mechanics add spice to an otherwise routine episode of monster blasting and puzzle solving. Dead Aim is basically an upgraded version of Resident Evil Gaiden for the Game Boy Color. You explore a monster-infested ship and other locales, collect items and weapons, and fight for your life. Dead Aim, however, throws in a unique twist: access a weapon, and you automatically go from third- to first-person view for arcade shooting along the lines of House of the Dead. Surprisingly enough, the combination works but not without a few deficiencies. The system allows for rampant cheating, and unless the gun peripheral is perfectly calibrated, you're going to waste a lot of ammo, which is already in short supply. Dead Aim's also relatively short with few rewards for repeat players, and although it carries the Resident Evil prefix, its narrative isn't nearly as involving as that of other games in the series. Dead Aim uses a full 3D visual scheme instead of the trademark pre-rendered environments. The result is fewer offscreen surprises and a very clean look, albeit at the cost of environmental details (like candles and other objects). There's also a welcome emphasis on stealth tactics as you're forced to move slowly and silently through various areas, and make as little noise as possible during particular boss battles. Accessible controls keep the action in line, and even sans the gun peripheral, the analog-stick substitute is a surprisingly playable alternative to the GunCon 2. Yet despite the new look and other features, Dead Aim's still filled with traditional Evil clichés. If you're a huge Resident Evil fan or a newcomer to the series, Dead Aim's worth the time investment. Although it's a middling side quest at best in the context of the Resident Evil universe, it's an engaging action/shooter.

Impressive graphics, great control, short game

The graphics are among the best I have ever seen in a PlayStation 2 game. The controls are good and the game is really fun. Too bad it is so short! On my first play, it took me 5 hours to finish it. If you have the GunCon 2 and can rent this, it is probably a better option, considering you can easily finish it in a weekend.

Way Too Short!

I got this game a couple days ago and it surprised me when I played it. The graphics and gun action were awesome, but there were not many puzzles like in previous RE games. The main downside was IT WAS TOO SHORT!!!! I beat it in under 3 hours in easy mode, but I haven't tried the other modes. Compared to RE games like Resident Evil 0 or 1, this game barely even compares. Other than those things, this game was decent. At least rent it.

The Great Let Down

I bought this game after one fatal mistake, I didn't read any reviews. If you spend the amount of time on video games as I do, the replay factor of a game has to be good, with dead aim it just isn't.

The graphics, armory, story line are all top notch. However, the fact that I beat this game in two days, on normal difficulty, ruins it all. The bosses need to be a little more difficult or simply more of them. Now that I have beat it I can't bring myself to sit down and waste any more time on such a short game.

My suggestion for improving this game would be to add at least three more levels, maybe in the sequel.

However this would be an excellent game for renting!

Resident Evil Dead Aim Or Dead Drag

This game was way to short for the money I paid for it. I expected it to be tough and interesting just like all the others. The graphics were cool but I beat this game in about 4 hours. Resident Evil Code Veronica was alot better game it took me about a month to beat.

Needs AUTOAIM

The game is short, but sweet. Its nice and scary but the whole inside-outside aiming system is totally stupid. Lemme get this straight...You walk and move in third person....but have to fight in first?? What kind of crap is that? If it had auto aim, and/or you could move and shoot at the same time it would be one thing, but the way this is set up makes it a brutal way to play a game...

*Yawn*

This is an ok shooter in the Resident Evil universe, but after all the waiting for Playstation owners, I expected more than this from Capcom. All we got was a port of Code Veronica with a few extras thrown in and now this? I've bought every RE game for PS1 and 2, a total of 8 games (2 versions of both Part 1 and 2). Don't get me wrong here, this is a good game worth the money, but hopefully Outbreak will be more in line with what RE should be. Running, gunning, visceral terror. Excuse me, I have to go buy a Gamecube now...
