Lomac is like all great flight-sim. The product is rush to market and we become the new beta testers. The problems get fixed and the game lives up to its myth. Lomac is a product for all types of virutal pilots. There is an easy mode which requires no understanding all the way up to experienced level. If you are experienced simmer, the advance flight system comes as no suprise. All of the radar and weapon delevery systems are the same. The manual does not explain how to use the different radar modes and why you need them or what missle or bomb is effective for a particular target. As with Falcon4, I will love this game and will wait for every patch and watch this infant grow into an adult.

This game is the BIGEST pile of crap ever!!!! I have been playing flight sim games for more than 13 years and never seen anything like it. There is no way to get this game loaded on your computer. I carried my computer to a professional programer and he said he called the company and they said with all the pacthes (witch were about several hundred) it still might not work. About the only way you might ever play this game is to by a computer hard drive that has over 512MB of memory and absolutly no other programs of any kind but I still don't think it will work

Exceptional presentation and runs smoothly. Really good HUD graphics esp A-10. Missile sim and missile flight characteristics excellent. Very complex sim and takes time to learn. Must be able to trim in pitch. Made in Russia with mostly Russian fighters. Good platform for follow on's.
Nice Sim

In spite of its age, Lock-On remains one of the key references in military simulation games. Graphics are very good -the higher you climb, the more real-life the landscape gets-, A/C's behaviors -and related flaws- are quite realistic, the number of parameters that can be fine-tuned adds to the overall realism of the game.
A few question marks remain on my side, though. For example, some of the F-15 campaign missions are almost unplayable, like the one in which a Russian A-50 AWACS must be destroyed: this is straight out of another world, with a flight of 2x F-15's scrambling to get this A50 out of the skies, as well as its Su-27 escort, with only the onboard gun! Where did the designers of Lock-On got this idea from???
That aside, Lock-On is a very good game which seems to be the last of its kind (when was a good military combat sim game last released??)
You had better be a real pilot to play this game!

I purchased The Ultimate collection with Lock On being one of three games in the set! I was interested in Lock On as I already own Pac. Fighters and IL2 Sturmovik. I must say the game "could have been super" if they didn't make everything so complicated. There are many many key combinations to select radar, air to air and ground missles, locking on targets etc! Every time I select radar, I loose my ability to control speed of the aircraft with my joystick!! Very frustrating, you'd better be ready for some "figuring out" if you intend to play this game!
Not worth your money/or time!!!!

Our family has 3 computers in our household, ranging from 1800xp to a 2200xp amd chips, also 512 mem. Video is g-force 4 440 or Radeon 9000pros.
This game runs like crap on all of them.I build computers and own 15 flight sim games so Im not total novice at this.

This game is the best Air Sim ever created and what a bargain! All You need to make this work is an $8,000 computer with Holographic graphics and 3gigs of RAM. In other words, if You sell every thing you have and raise all the money you can beg, borrow ,or steal. Hey Brother, You got it made.

To say that this game does not run well because a PC is too slow is ridiculous. I have a top of the line, fastest PC available to date - 4GB RAM. 3.75 GHZ, best of everything.
This game is crap. Although it runs on WINXP it obviously is not designed for it. This handles more like something for an old IBM PC.
The few decent screenshots are JUST SCREENSHOTS and movies and stills do not make a flight simulator or even just a 'shoot em up'.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME or SANITY. I have had this game for 2 days and it is currently serving as a doorstop.
