Virtual War Ain't What it Used to Be

I remember the original Medal of Honor... You could just run right at the enemy, blast them to pieces and continue on. This was due to their poor accuracy, predictable tactics and downright strange behavior when put to the test. Not anymore, although the AI isn't great, it does make your life a lot more interesting. Those snipers really do make you think like someone getting shot at, and when that near miss kicks up dirt around you, the general feeling of frustration sets in. Then, if you're lucky, a squad mate will pop around the corner and cap the enemy... But that doesn't always happen... Many times your on your own, then you've gotta risk a peak around the corner, be sure to bring the First Aid Kit! :)

Your the Soldier

This game is great, it has amazing graphics and real sound. You are a soldier named James Patterson and have been sent back to France after being rescued from there to fight on the beaches of Normandy. The graphics are amazing. I felt like I was there until my friend brought me back to reality saying, "Thats awesome, Please let me play." The objectives aren't impossible and the game provides hours of fun and very little gore. Even younger kids could play it. The only flaw is the sensitivity of the joystick. It is nearly impossible and very frustrating to shoot from too far away because of that sensitivity. Overall, it's one of the best games I've ever seen!!!

Very good indeed

For a game thats about 5 years old this holds up really well. Starting off at D-Day on the beaches the game effectively recreates the beginning of "Saving Private Ryan" in marvellous detail. This opening part is frustratingly difficult and you will have to play it quite a few times to find where the 4 men are you are trying to cover for.

After that its a really good mixture, with battles in all scenarios, on Trains, in Submarines, on the Street, in Towns. As Patterson you will collect a variety of weaponary from Colt 45 to Sniper Rifle (with excellent trelscopic lense), Machine Gun, Shotgun, Grenades and a few others I've probably forgotten.

I've played it through to the end on 'Normal' and found it to be really addictive. If you use the 'Easy' level the game is pretty simple as you can take a large number of hits before you die. Try it on 'hard' and you will find the very very difficult. In this mode you get very little recovery between missions and you have to rely on finding a lot of medical kits or just being very clever.

this game had the best graphics and sound i have ever seen in a ps2 game before. has a good difficulty level, good amount of guns and a decent amount of levels. the allies are not the best of help but make the game a lot better. the only thing is that there is ano multiplayer and i think that it will get old after a while. i definetly recomend buying this game.

This game is great it would have got a 5 but its a little monotonous, like right now Ive been stuck on this one mission for a few weeks now and its getting a little boring, now for the good stuff, it has great graphics, excelent controls, very exciting and interesting missions, and plenty of weapons.
over all this game is one of my favorites and I definently recomend it.

the details are very good

This game is great. The enemy actualy thinks for itself and doesn't stand around waiting for you to shoot him like in those 007 games. The weapons are very realistic. They include granades, thompson machine guns, the colt.45 pistol, and many more. The enemy kicks granades back at you if you are not careful. the only wierd thing is that the first missions is too intense. This is the best shooter i have ever played.

I was introduced to MOH when it first came out years ago on PS1. What got me interested was when I saw the cover of it.It reminded me of the picture I saw when finally after getting out of the Navy, my Grandpa showed me of him in Belgium, in WWII.I bought the game and couldn't stop playing it.After that the intrest of what my Grandpa did over there couldn't stop growing.I was very close to him, unfortunately I really never got to ask him what he did over there before he passed away, however I did manage to get what unit he was with.I thought that was enough but it wasn't.Not much has been written at all, not even in the movies.I talked with my Grandma and she said I should talk with some of his buddies in his squad.I got in touch with two of them, that was all I needed.Since February of this year,I have grown very close to them and received nothing but tons of information on who really my Grandpa was. They say Heroes show alot hiding hidden truth. In my research, I find this to be true.Moh has been a definite influence into helping me see what my Grandpa never talked about. How can I thank the MOH TEAM?...For the last 10 months Iv'e been writing a script on him and his squad,it's almost finished but even if it doesn't get recognized in L.A.,I have fulfilled a great task, being Proud of and closer to my Grandpa.MOH TEAM,thanks again you have a Friend/customer for life. Sincerely Thomas J. Baltierra
