The time that the game was released it was considered one of the most revolutionary games of war ever made, now you have to take noticed that it was a few years ago. I personally love the game, graphics and sound, and I'll recommend it, to any one who would like to play a good war game.

Exciting Game For Younger Players

Medal of Honor Frontline is an exciting first person shooter for young teens and adults that are a kid-at-heart.

There is no blood in the game at all. In fact, there is no damage modeling at all. The enemies that are "killed" simply lay down on the ground; they leave their eyes open and the blink animation will trigger occasionally to soothe the over-sensitive player.

But that aside, the gameplay is rather enjoyable. Some scenes will unfold and give the player a boost of adrenaline. Most notible is the use of moving leaves and shrubbery that actually effects gameplay strategy.

But the cartoony approach to war violence and obvious self censorship seems to cheapen the entire game. I understand that some games should be targetted to younger children, but why make Normandy Beach into a G.I.Joe interactive cartoon? It just seems rather arrogant of the producers of this game.

If a WWII combat simulation is to be released, they should approach the subject matter honestly. Medal of Honor might seem vaguely obscene as you watch your young nephew giggle with delight as he storms a sanitized and teen-rated Normandy beach.

Wow, war sure is clean and fun, daddy!

If your an MOH fan buy it!

I have to say I enjoyed the computer version better and think that the ps2 could have used way more textures.

Although I am utterly frustrated with the fps issues with this game. If low fps bugs you then I suggest getting another game. This game is terrible for low frame rates, at times it gets so bad you have to move from the area due to smoke etc.

I often had to stop playing due to headaches from the suddenly low fps. I really would have enjoyed the game a lot more if it would have stayed smooth all the way through.

The music and sound is great, couldnt have done better.

A lot of people are bragging about the AI, but my personal opinion...they flat [are bad]. Very predictible, often they get stuck running into walls and things of that sort.

Another downfall is the enemy's are always in the same places. It would really been a lot more interesting if they mixed their positions up a little. Again I would suggest the PC version if you are interested in really enjoying a good WW2 game.

My main beef with the game is the LOW FPS... I mean it is truely terrible and there isn't enough textures in the first place.

I am anticipating the add-on pack for the PC version of moh.

Good game, could be better....

I bought this game right when it came out because I loved the other two Medal of Honor games so much. I was a little disappointed with it. The graphics were better but it was shorter and there was not a mulit-player option which I enjoyed in the first two. I would reccomend the first two before this one, although it did have some interesting battle scenes. The soundtrack was far better than it was on the first two however and I recently purchased it. Good for a one time play, but I would suggest renting instead of buying.

OK

MOH:Frontline isn't bad I guess. It's pretty fun, especially the first mission, but it would have been a lot more realistic with some blood. I'm not sick or anything, but when you shoot somebody, they're gonna bleed. Another thing is why the hell do I have to shoot everybody 3 times before they die. It's kinda stupid to shoot a guy in the face at point-blank range and watch him get up again. This game is ok but only buy it used if you really must have it.

not up to par but still a decent game

over all the game play is awesome, however some things could have made this game a true classic, earning five stars in my book. the controls in the game sucks when it comes to aiming. it is very hard to settle the toggle on an enemy, and if you are trying to shoot at more then one enemy at a time, which you will be doing alot, it is very hard to move from one enemy to the other. which is to unrealistic, maybe if there was some way to change the sensitivity on the controller then that would be helpful. another negative is the lack of blood, it would just make the game better if there was blood, again more realistic. and the last thing is the checkpoints, there are not enough, if you work your way really far into the level and then die, u have to start over, which sucks b/c it makes you not want to play anymore becuase it is really hard and tedious to workk your weigh up...but the game is still really great and worth buying, but its just sad b/cc it has much more potential then it displays

Great graphics and sound. VERY linear, the game feels like its on rails, and it gives you no freedom. The AI is also very stupid, and the controls [stink]. This game is worth renting, but don't buy it (I'm glad I didn't).

A tired retread of a very good game

What this game has improved on since the 2 previous MOH titles on PSX include:
* graphics are much better
* enemy animations and sound are generally better
* enemy AI is slightly improved

That's about it. The mission designs aren't improved at all. Only one or two spots are even interesting (the opening mission is quite nice but then it's straight into the retread). The control system, if anything, is worse (though you can resort to the original setup) and the aiming is really jerky. It compares unfavorably to other games that use a similar system like Syphon Filter.

So, in short, if I had never played the first MOH games, I would have thought this was a 4 or 5 star game. Since it is basically a rehash of the originals, though, it is fun but often tiresome and has no replay value whatsoever.

MOH is fun but very hard

At first I thought that MOH was awesome, but I ended up playing in invincible mode because it was so easy to be snuck up on and killed and there was no way to save the game in the middle of a mission. This greatly decreased my enjoyment of the game, especially since there are so many good first person shooters that have the save at any time feature.

Great Game, even better headache

The game itself isnt bad... the story line is alittle too easy.. you're pushed through this thing even if you try to fight it... my biggest problem with it... after an hour of play i get a pounding headache, my eyes water, and i feel sick to my stomach....
The frame rate and jumping graphics are not something for the faint of heart...
