In my opinion, this is one of the greatest video games ever, making it so. I've never been so absorbed by a game in my life, and if that makes me psycho, oh well. People who say this game isn't very violent are in denial, because they know their idea of what a great game is has been swept away by Manhunt's greatness. Violence, gore, and the overall feel of this game, made part by the creepiest soundtrack ever on a video game make this what it is. GREAT.
AWESOME

If you leave out the gore and guts u would still have an amazing game, the stealth is incredible, in my oppinion this is a truly original game and i would put it up there with final fantasy 7 in terms of how incredibly fun this game is. buy it!!!
Blood, gore, stealth. What more could you ask for?

As one reviewer put it, this game makes GTA look like Crash Bandicoot. This game is probably the most bloody thing I've seen since... well that I've ever seen actually. The kill cutscenes are awesome. The controls are relatively easy. The gameplay however is what's the best overall. As you progress, the bad guys get harder and harder. You've gotta learn how to dodge these guys. It's awesome. Pick it up if you can find it.
Hitman with GTA spilled in.

Manhunt is amongst my faverite video-games genre:"stealth-Action"(sometimes Espionage thrown in).It is like GTA,Splinter Cell and Hitman struck together in a very different story.Unlike SC the aim of the game is Not to sneak PAST guards, but Sneaking up on them and giving them a nasty and painful death to get points, that is more like Hitman. The Splinter Cell bit is the sneaking style;"sneak from spot to spot" rather than the "run to spot, hide in spot" stealth used in the Metal Gear and Hitman series, also it steals SC`s biggest concept hiding from the guards in shadows.the GTA sprinkle comes not only from the fact that GTA`s developers RockStar created this game but it has got a GTA graphics engine and is set in a GTA world city "Carcer City"(mentioned in a GTAIII radio ad.)
Manhunt is THE most violent, gory and srongest theme of all stealth-action games.you play as J.E. Cash who is set for a death by "Lethal Injection" but is saved only to play as a star in an anonymous director`s sick and tormented real life murder movie in which he has bribed some local Gangs to play as the "Guards" which Cash must kill, the directors name Lionel Starkweather,As it being real The movie`s hero has only one chance to finish this movie to get his reward "Freedom" he has no retake option or sick peoples pay,he just has to follow Lionel`s orders til the end and get his life back.I do not have this game but my cousin has got it and i have read its previews and reviews.I might get this game to give myself a scare one free night,in a way it reminds me of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" movie,i dunno why maybe its the atmosphere. This game is like not human,i mean a Man who wears pig skin, gangsters who wear smily faces.
I will list out some other Stealth-Action/spy games:
The 007 James Bond games.
the Metal Gear Solid games
the Splinter Cell games.(Tom Clancy)
Mission:Impossible(Old PS1,N64 game)
Mission:Impossible:Operation SURMA
the Hitman games
and of course Manhunt.
well not all use the full term of stealth the 007 games only use it from time to time but Bond is a Spy so i guess its safe to include,Yes there are more of this genre coming as well as Sequals.
P.S.:My review was not ment to be as long as it is.
Holy crap ...

This game kicks..., not becasue of it's hard as rocks hero James Earl Cash, not because of it's gameplay, but because of how good it feels to bash a man in the head with a baseball bat, or stab someones face in using a shard of glass. I'm not saying you should take this seriously and start killing people (leave it to the game), just showing how great this game really is. If violence is not your thing, then aviod this, but if your normal like everyone else, BUY THIS GAME, NOW!

Stealth games usually turn me off. They're too slow and you end up having to replay a whole mission over and over again. Thankfully, Rockstar knows how to produce the best video games and rids gamers of this frustration.
This game has a save anywhere feature which should be a requirement of all games. More importantly, there's enough gore to make even the sickest of sick people smile with joy. I thought I would get tired of sneaking behind bad guys and choosing how to kill them, but not so, especially after they've killed me several times. You just gotta love their screams of agony as you're separating their head from the rest of their body.
Anyway, I give this game 5 stars and has made my top 10 Must Have Video Game List.
As always, stay away from No One Lives Forever unless you really want a craptacular game.
