I got this game for my son last year for christmas and he played it and played it!! He thought it was the greatest game. He is a huge Star Wars fan and the characters in this game are so cute and fun. Even if you are not a Star Wars fan you would enjoy this game. He is 10, and it is right at his level, so younger kids might have a harder time with it.. I would recommened this product to a friend.

A lot of fun, although I didn't enjoy this game quite as much as the second game, possibly because I prefer episodes IV through VI over I through III. However, the gameplay was just as enjoyable in this version and a lot of fun. Fans of the movies would definitely enjoy this game.
Surprisingly Very Fun!

I was a Little Hesitant to buy this game, seeing as I don't like Star Wars in the die hard fan way, and lego really was never my thing. But, I thought I'd go out on a limb and see if it was worth the hype. All I can say is WOW ... this game is so very addicting, and fun.. I haven't stopped for more than a few hours at a time! I'd even go as far to say that I hope they'll make a Lego Star Wars for episodes 4,5,and 6! My only complaints are that I wish the game was longer, (I know I'm nearing the end of the game and I just don't want it to be over yet!) and, It's a little easy in terms of difficulty.. I wish there was an option to change the difficulty settings somewhere but not that I've seen so far. Granted, I know it is supposed to be for kids more than adults.. On the good side, huge replay value, as you are able to go back and replay the levels that you previously played with new characters you get at the ends of certain levels. and when you go back and replay the levels, you are able to explore new areas that you couldn't reach before the first time around! oh and I love the 2 player co-op drop in drop out feature.. bascially you can play with a friend at the same time as a team and if they feel like they wanna let the computer take over for them and go have a break they can simply drop out of the game and then drop right back in again when they are ready! anyway this is a must have for lego and star wars fans and non fans alike! happy gaming!

I thought that this was going to be a very boring game, all about building things and almost no action, but my friend said it was amazing and I decided to see what he was talkng about so I rented it and it COMPLETELY SURPRISED ME! The game is amazingly fun and very addictive, we played it with my friends from 7 to after 12 and were still having fun. The levels are very well designed so you don't get a feeling of doing the same thing over and over and over again. The vechile levels are a tiny bit dissapointing, but still fun to play. One very fun thing you can do is continuously switch characters, so you dont get bored with one character and each of them has special abilitys. My favourite person to play with is Yoda because he does a cool jump every time he attacks, and he can use the force, along with the other jedi. You can play as everyone who was prominently featured in episode 1,2 and 3 except for the bad guys. The only thing I would do to improve the game is to allow you to go back and play the game through as the bad guys after you are done, it would be really fun to play as Jango Fett. Another cool thing is that you can decide who wins the battle at the end of episode 3, Obi-Wan or Anakin. The only thing that kind of drags this game down is the fact that if you keep pressing the attack button as a jedi, you are pretty much invincible and can't be hit, while at the same time you can attack. The boss battles are a bit too easy but still very fun. Definetely a game worth buying, the best game I have played in over a year.
This is GREAT!

This has turned into my son's favorite game. His favorite character is Anakin before becoming Darth Vader. Not only can he play by himself but when two players play, it is at the same time and work together as a team to defeat the Dark Side and complete the levels. It is a family favorite. We also own Lego Star Wars II which plays the same way. We like both Lego games. If you have a favorite movie series, Lego SW I is based on Episodes I, II & III and Lego SW II is based on Episodes IV, V & VI. Depending on what movie mood we're in, decides the Lego Star Wars game we play.
