My son and I love this game

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 0 / 0

This game will capture your child's imagination immediately and he will want to play it 24 hours a day, and he will constantly beg you to play it with him, and you will want to. That's the experience I had with my 4yr old son and this game. Lego Star Wars takes you through 5 or 6 levels for each of the first 3 episodes (most recent movies). In each level, you must complete the story and when you do you unlock characters from the movie and you open up the next level.

What makes the game challenging is Jedi Status. To achieve Jedi status, you must collect a certain amount of studs (money) on each level. At times this can be difficult because each time you die, you lose money. Also, on each level, you must find 10 white cannisters. These can be well hidden and you can never get them all until you have played levels then go back to the level with new characters you have won.

This game provided hours of entertainment for me and my son. It is difficult enough that he could never beat the game on his own. The game does have a lot of shooting and fighting, which some parents might find objectionable. When dying happens, the characters lego parts scatter about, there is no blood or gore. I recommend this game to parents who think their kids would like or already do like star wars, but are hesitant to show them the movies.

I saw at the mall this weekend that a sequal is in the works and my son is already asking for it for Christmas.

I bought this game for boy for his ninth birthday. He and all is friends love it! The only thing is that he has had it for only three weeks or so, and has already unlocked all the guys. I haven't actually seen it, I only know what he tells me.

It's fun and adventerous. My uncle play this game with me and likes the way the puzzles are and using the force (O). He gets a high score with this game and is fun in every aspect of play. I give this game a high rating because it is fun, looks as close to star wars as you can get and the music is very action like.

Very cool!! I like all of the episodes in this game. All of the extras and the player option to drop in and out is fantastic. What a great way to play with others. The sound effects are just like the movie and including the soundtrack. The lightsaber sounds are very cool.

This is a great game for all those Star Wars fans. Like us.

I'm not going to say anything about the game...but I have an odd PS2...I don't have this game but I do have other games on a blue disk that work...so all you who say this won't play, I'm going to buy it and tell you if it works or not.

At first glance, LEGO Star Wars may seem like a chilidish game, but it's really enjoyable for all ages. Those who like Star Wars will love this game, and even those who don't probably will. I've only seen two of the movies and only know a little bit about the films, but I am still in love with it!!! Even if I don't know what the heck I'm doing I still have a blast doing it!!! Breaking LEGO stuff is a ton of fun.
One thing that kept this game from five stars was its simplicity. This game is probably the easiest game I've ever played! If you have the time, you can probably beat Episode 1 in an hour, and Star Wars freaks in 45 minutes (without all collectibles). However, to truly "beat" the episodes, you need to fill up each chapter's True Jedi Bar by collecting coins. Don't worry, if you cqan't collect tham all on your first time, you can do Free Play Mode to finish it. Beat each Episode to get Episode 4. The game also gets very repetitive.
An excellent feature that this game has is the drop-in/drop-out co-op mode. Since all the chapters have multiple characters, instead of swapping between characters, you and your friend can play as different characters to beat the chapter together. It really is a unique feature.
LEGO Star Wars is an extremely fun game that anyone can enjoy. I hope they make more LEGO movie games!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool Legos and Star Wars

This is such a great combo. Grew up with Legos and watching Star Wars. Now both together, how cool is that? This a great game with cool story and free play modes. Watching Legos go KABOOM! Awsome. This game is great for families as it's nothing more than toys falling down, unlike all the other Blood and Guts games out there.

As a dad I love being able to play with my young daughter in the room, and hearing "UH oh daddy, legos went boom" whenever I blow something up. Highly recommend.
