MY COUSIN BOUGHT THIS VIDEO GAME, AND THIS VIDEO GAME IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME! I EVEN LIKE MUHAMMAD ALI. EVEN KNOW I SOMETIMES LOSE PLAYING THE GAME, I GIVE IT A ***** (5 OUT OF 5), BECAUSE IT'S THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!

I purchased this game a few days ago and now getting the hang of it. I like the graphics, they are pretty good and I think you'll enjoy that part of it. As far as the action is concerned, your fingers will kill you playing this game! It is almost impossible to defend yourself so your best defense is a good offense! Using the left joystick the way you are supposed to in order to defend yourself is very awkward. If you try to "bob" left or right, you will be punched like crazy as you are doing so. Still, It's worth the money (I paid $...) compared to most of the high priced games out there today. At least you get to beat the hell out of each other in this game!

The best boxing game out there.

The game is most definately the best boxing game of all time, but that doesn't say much. The game needs more boxers to choose from, I mean how can you make a boxing game and exclude Roy Jones Jr., Mike Tyson or George Foreman! Nothing (bad) about this game, dont get me wrong, it just needs improvement, hopefully 2003 will be better.

2 stars as an overall rating... it should be lower!!!!!

this game is just plain horrible. Gameplay is the worst ever for a boxing game period. No entrances except for the last fight in that pymarid wannabee career mode, no real chance to create boxers, all you do is pick a pre created person, give them trunks and boxing gloves and imagine that can at least resemble a realistic boxer. I truly hate this game, ALL ASPECTS OF STRATEGY DO NOT EXIST IN THIS GAME, ON THE COVER THEY SHOULD HAVE PUT FOR BUTTON MASHERS ONLY.

This game is the worst game I've ever played and I'm the probably the biggest boxing fan out there. The controls are horrible, I can't stand using the joystick I wish I could use the directional buttons. You can't control body shots and the manual gives NO instructions on how to throw body shots. The career mode is a disaster. Bottom line don't by this game, save your money. Good news, I heard that Mike Tyson's boxing will be better. Cross your fingers.

The graphics are decent, but could be better. Its fun for a while, then get boring, and like I said the graphics are not that good. Like the crowd looks [bad], and the graphics on the boxers are decent. There are some good boxers up there though. Dont buy it unless you really like boxing.

I think I'd rather stand in the ring myself and get punched in the face than play this game again!
The controls are horrible and the only way to win is hit the buttons as quickly as possible.

I waited for a long time for this game to come out. I cannot believe how bad it is. NO body punches, NO training, they took everything fun out of this game and said they improved it....I could go on but belive me...it stinks. Read the reviews before you buy.
Don't fall for the marketing hype...this game is bad.

Like the other reviews I have to say I'm very disappointed in EA Sports for releasing this title. The only good thing I can say about the game is the graphics are better than 2001, other than that Knockout Kings 2001 is a much much better game. Save your money.
