I'm a pretty jaded gamer and have trouble playing games to completion, often getting bored quickly with majority of games these days. However, this latest game in the Bond franchise is a winner. It takes a lot to impress me and keep me motivated till the end. I was truly amazed by the production value of this game with its all-star Hollywood cast that includes Pierce Brosnan, Judi Dench, Willem Dafoe and Shannon Elizabeth. Moreover the gameplay here is varied enough that'll keep your interest. Shooting, stealth action, racing, and online play. Also the singleplayer game length is much longer than the previous couple of PS2 Bond games and about the same length as the classic N64 bond games
I liked the previous 1st person perspective shooters in the series and was skeptical of the change to 3rd person, but having played this game, I actually think 3rd person view is indeed better! Awesome to watch your bond character perform moves and he can even do some slick hand to hand combat moves that sometimes I just forgo my gun and run around doing some judo moves on the enemies. Great game. How can you not like a Bond game that even has the famous Jaws henchman in the game? Definitely one of my alltime favorite PS2 games, and thats saying a lot from me.

This game can get pretty hard, but it is kinda weird because like three out of like twenty somthing levels are either realy short or are just movies. there are realy good weapons and tons of good levels. you get AK-74,s shotguns sig,s etc. you can drive a motorcycle, a tank, a chopper, a suv and a car. you also get to drive a race car. I advise you buy this game after you have played " from Russia with love". it is kinda like it but a tad easier. otherwise, buy it.

Most of the reviews I've read here are from people who don't own this game. I just went out and bought it. I am a very loyal bond fan, but this game is just not fun. I could only play it for about 30 minutes before I got disgusted. The gameplay is terrible. You are basically on auto aim the whole time. The 3rd person camera views are not as intuitive as you would like. Often you can see the person you would like to shoot, but the system locks onto someone else. The gameplay is nowhere near as good as SOCOM (another 3rd person shooter). Not sure what the big hype is over this hand-to-hand combat mode either. Now Bond gets to punch people. Strongly recommend you rent this and see if you like it more than I do.

Well..this a trademark EA game..is it a very pretty game to look at? Most definetly. Especially, considering it is a multi-platformer. But the flip side of EA movie adaptations is that they suffer from lack of viable save points(maddeningly if you are killed ANYWHERE in the level...you have to (you guessed it!) do the same damn thing over and over again!..I wonder if this is becuz the programers were not confident enough in the product (to short? I dunno..haven't finished it yet...I keep frustratingly replayng levels with no clear objectives!!) maybe they don't want you to finish it to quickly..my guess is, that with a "logical save point" system the game could be finished in under 2 hours (ouch!), Also problems with some shoddy camera angles, repetitive enemies, enemies that appear out of nowwhere and frustatingly shoot you in the back, sometime frustrating controls..very, very unclear/no explanation objectives (As mentioned earlier...as further proof see:Lord of the Rings:The 2 Towers, Return of the King)..Does it sound like I am seriously ragging on the game? well....yeah..its a "fun" game to play..but its to much like a "Splinter cell"(Buy this instead, if you don't already own it MUCH MUCH better game!) knock off to warrant a purchase...I advise a weekend rental..if you haven't already played the excellent "Champions of Norrath" (diff game genre? yeah repetitive? yeah..but with loads of fun weapons and tons of levels..best of all? LOGICAL SAVE POINTS!!!)
The Best of the Bond's, but that is not saying a great deal

First of all this is not a bad game, but like all Bond games it is flawed by its Bondness. It seems to me that once a game designer is handed a franchise, like Bond, a lot of their urge to truly innovate and make a really great game disappears. Yes, this is a good game, it has good graphics, a competent, but very short plot, and some nice gameplay elements, but it is not superb.
It is also cursed with the disease of all games that try to do too much, the third person play is fine, the driving is fine, and the other game play aspects are fine, but nothing is superlative. Instead of making a great third person shooter or a great driving game, the designers make a series of pretty good substitutes and combine them.
I will say this though the game comes as close to the game/movie mind meld as I have seen. First rate voice talent, and a sufficient plot make this game as good as most Bond movies, and that is more than most movie to game efforts can say for themselves.
I am not sad I bought this game, and I would say that if you love Bond this game is a must have. For everyone else though look in your wallets, if you see five bucks and a credit card rent this game first, if you see fifty and don't have to buy groceries, buy this game.

This is one of those games that has nothing worng with it! graphics are great, voice acting is great, the game play is great, the faces of all the people are great! They look just like them. The hand to hand combat rocks. For once it feels like your in a Bond movie. Like I said this is one of the best games ever made--if not the best game made.

This Is one of the funnest games out of my whole games! And I have about 14 now 15 because of this one!It my get hard at some points but don't worry, there are ways to get out of tough area's. You also get a lot of cool gadgets like,a grenade spider,a remote control car with a laser, and a coin that will blind your enemey's. You can also drive cars, motorcycles, and helicopters. At first you just do a little preview to see how fun the game really is, Then you do a training for you to get how the gadgets and that kind of stuff works. Finally, you start the game. You have 4 different parts of the world to move around in, Eygept,Peru,New Orleas, and Moscrow. Anyway this game is the true BOND!!!
