If there were Oscars for PS2 games then GTA 3 Vice City would sweep the boards. An SS Titanic in an ocean of lesser games. A true indication that we have turned another corner in gaming history. The non-linear approach to play is now the benchmark for games creators. GTA 3 will be remembered as a alltime classic. Simply brilliant!!

Alright, let me tell you one thing. Rockstar gaming company has the guts to make a great virtual reality game. Back in the past gta games such as gta1 or gta2...were not quite well. The graphics were really good but rockstar needed to change their boring camera angles. And so they did. Instead of the 2d bird's eye view you will get to see 3d animation from 5 different angles including cinematics view. This was the thing about rockstar's greatest improvements. This improved game already exists on ps2, xbox gamecube and pc-cd rom. The game's called gta3 liberty city, usa. The faboulous thing about this game was the graphics, player's detail but mostly the capability to fly a plane drive a car and also sail a boat. The other great thing was that you had the option to take a subway or a train at portland island or any of the three places in liberty city. There were quite a lot of cars to pick from. Almost 20 i think. The sad thing was that the cars did not have their every day life real name. They were called something else. I dont know why but i really do not care about these things. Also...sailing a boat was quite good. You can sail 5 differnt boats. Police boat, reefer, speeder and 2 more. The only disapointment was the dodo plane. That was quite hard to fly, since the wings were quite short. I hope rockstar goes easy on us! we're not proffesional flyers you know. One thing i loved was the fact you have hidden packages to get..the more you get..the more weapons you have. Also..you had the ability to drive a police car and become a cop or drive a taxi car and becomec a driver. Also you can be a paramedic and much much more. Besides doing game missions and working for the mobs..you could even cruise around. But what i hate is that the gangs wont stop following you around, even if you have finished all your missions (arghh!)

sound: 10/10
graphics: 8/10
animation (reality): 9/10
guns weapons etc.: 10/10
cars boats planes etc.: 6/10
music in the radio stations: 0/10
As you can see, most of the things were great..average score is probably 8 and a half. The music in the radio was bad..would you believe how bad mannered those things are? All those swear words got to be put in the radio stations. When im driving my car..ill probably just turn it off! but still, if you compare to gta2 you'll see a big difference, especially since that you cannot see the city in 3d reality. Hopefully this wont happen again.

It's GTA, of course it will be great!

I have played and finished GTA3. I know that this evpansion will be just as great.(Thats a fact.) I recommend this game for gamers who liked the Grand Theft Auto Series.

I agree with Hilary because she does have the right to what she can or cannot do. Because basically I am a Liberal like Hilary, I just think this all the Grand Theft Auto Games should be taken away from kids and throwing them in the Garbage, and taking them back to the store and getting their money back and not let this fall in Childrens hands and like I said Rockstar is not responsible for all this, It the Person who Buys it for their Kids!

Don't waste your money. Compared to Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City has better graphics, new weapons and vehicles (including motorcycles) and brand-name music. But don't be fooled- the poor response of the controls in combat cancel them out, and then some. It's pretty dumb. A step backwards as far as I'm concerned. If you don't own Grand Theft Auto III, buy that instead - it's worth your money. If you do, buy something else.

i'd love to rate this game.after ordering it, 13 days later i'm still anxious to even see the delivery person at my door.the suspense is beginning to subside. i can only hope that if/when this game does arrive, i'll still be as excited to play it.so,in conclusion, if i ever actually get to play this game,i'll be glad to rate it for you.

All right everyone, Darkstar Inc. was extermely disappointed with this product from Rockstar Games. It maybe all the build up to the game but it was a complete disappointment. The playstation 2 can handle better graphics, more levels, better missions and more inside areas. I can say opened handly that this has to be worse than the first GTA game. The time line was the worst thing in the game. It was suppose to be in the 80's not the 90's. Over all this should get a zero but they tried there best so one is and should be the highest this game is rated.
