This game is getting old. It is the same steal-cra-and-shoot-people scheme like the last 3. It is getting old. Its the same thing as GTA3--lousy, blocky graphics, repetitive gameplay, boring replay value. Only difference is that new weapons and vehicles. heck, even the game layout is the same as GTA3.
Dont waste your money on this. It VERY fun at first but you'll likely to get bored of it quickly.
If you have GTA3, thats good. But, no point on getting GTA: VC.

If you can't get a date with a real girl, because you don't have a car, then this game is for you. However if you would like to have a life, turn off the TV, get up off the couch (if you aren't too heavy by now) and live.

By the time this game is release there should be more than 20 million PS2s out there. It's reasonable to assume that at least half of the console owners will want this game. This game will be huge, the most anticipated release of 2002. Reserve it now!
More of the same

How many ways can you kill and maim before you get bored? Well, for me in GTA3, it didn't take long. I am afraid that in Vice City, it took about three missions before giving up because it was just more of the same. If you became bored with GTA3, there is no point in playing Vice City. What is the interest in games aimed at mindless maiming?
parents, dont let your kids play this game! contains nudity!

i was reading thru the 1-star reviews on this site, trying to find out why gta:vc was rated M. a few of them talked about the hookers, but i already knew about them from gta3. i kept reading on and saw a review that said it had topless girls in the game. i was really surprised, so i didnt know if i should believe what the person said. i went on yahoo and searched for grand theft auto: vice city. i clicked on one of the links that mentioned a message board (i wanted to ask someone if the topless thing was true), and clicked on a game secrets walkthrough thing. i kept scrolling and skimming thru until i saw something that would tell me if the topless girl part was true. this is what i came across:
"After you buy Pole Position [im assuming this is a strip joint], go and do the mission for it. After you do,
go all the way down the hall and go in the room on the right. When you
enter, there will be a cut scene and it will show a different stripper
dancing for Tommy. It looks just like the topless girl the works the
bar at the Malibu Club. The girl dancing has a cowboy hat, silver thong,
and silver stars to cover her nipples. Could these 2 girls be the elusive
twins that are depicted on the cover of the game, so many advertisements,
and the map? Maybe. By the way, this girl actually dances on a pole.
She is much better than the other girl."
i was horrified at this discovery! i wanted to get this game so very badly!! in fact, i was going to ask my dad if we could go down to target tonight and get it (it was on sale for only $25 and i still had $4 on my giftcard, so i was excited)! i am sooo glad i came to this website and read the reviews. if i didnt, i would have had a nasty little surprise when i got that far into the game.
im so mad that they put that into the game. i really wanted to play it. we rented it a couple months ago, and i thought it was great, even though i only rode around on the motorcycle crashing into things.
well, my day is now ruined. thanx a lot, rockstar games!
***thank you to whoever included the nudity warning in their review! you saved me $20!!

This game may be cool but too violent. The thing is that this game is only for kids 17 & up. But at school I have seen some 4 grade students saying that they own it. So keep little kids away.
THIS ROCKS

Being a big fan of GTA, I have read up on the official story of what this game will be like, and let me tell you that it rocks!! Everything will be bigger and better and you can expect many new vehicles, weapons, locations, indoor play, and all against the incrible background of 80's Miami. This is a must!!
For shame!

As a first grader yet to see his seventh year, I was frankly appalled at the gratuitous violence of GTA:VC.
I received the game in error - it was intended for my 17 year old brother(there was a mixup; he recieved a "Fairy Oddparents" game or some such that was inteneded for me). Such mishaps are doubtless common enough.
Moreover, the age recommendations on the game boxes are simply recommendations - they are not legally enforcable age restrictions.
At the tender age of 6, I only hope that I have not been scarred for life by this.
I absolutely hated this game!

There was something about this game that really bugged me. It could have been the graphics which were too blurry and choppy, or the gameplay that just seemed wrong (too slow maybe)what it really was was the lack of random mayhem. There were too damn many cops to do anything. One second of fun mayhem would turn into ten minutes of avoiding the heat. Where is the fun in running? This game was a giant disappointment. Do yourself a favor and buy the soundtrack albums and listen to them while playing GTA3.
