Mini Game Poluza

After Finally Acheving all ends and see how everything turns out I must say this game did not live up to my expectation as the sequal to ten or as a final fantasy. The first major bummer is that there is no way to summon in this game as you could in the previous which haveing played ten and knowing why you can not but still it is just not a final fatasy with out summoning some kick butt creature. Secound they have so many mini games it really gets boring at time (unless you really like mini games). the story line for this game was deffinitly well thought out. The battle system was deffinitly something any RPG fan would enjoy. But all in all the game is just missing that something that makes it a really memerible game. A little adivse for anyone who takes the time to read these if you want 100% completion you need in chapter 2 to select the Youth Leage that may not make sence now but trust me you'll understand.

Bring Final Fantasy Back To The Originals

Brings back the orignal elemnts of the Final Fnatasy series by bringing back the old job system that hasn't been seen since Final Fantasy V and Tatics Advance for the Gameboy Advance. I own the game and read a review about a few minutes ago and it said it contains mild porn for teens which is not true at all. Some of the dress spheres may be revealing but the game is a whole lot better than Final Fantasy X. The dress spheres are new and may take time getting use to if the plauyer plays by strategy but on the other hand by combing the right magic any enemy can be overcomed. The summons are gone and replaced with something that is a whole better if the player can the hidden spheres in the game. This game has alot of replay value than any other Final Fantasy gme before because in order to get the complete ending it must be beatten at 100%. Buy it, it is worth the money.

This PS2 release is one of the best games in the FF series. You wouldn't be reading all these reviews if you were not interested in buying it. There is no need to read all the 500 word reviews to convince yourself. That time could be put to better use.....playing this game! You know you want it, so just add it to your cart now. You will not be disappointed!

I know that there are other people who don't care for this game, but look at some of their reviews. If you finished the game in 18 hours, then you DIDN'T finish the game. This game has 3 endings! Each one is better than the one before it. My wife and I have put over 70 hours into this game (leveling up and playing), and we still haven't gotten to the perfect ending yet (only the "good" ending). I'll be brief... this is probably the most fun I've ever had playing a FF game. The gameplay is actually fun. I love all the FF games (with VIII, X, and VII being my favorites), but this one was just fun. I know it's a little disappointing to not have the same old type of game, and the story line lacks in the begining (not to mention the music is NOT what you would hope for), but this is still a great game. It's just fun.

It really is Final Fantasy!!

When Square unveiled Final Fantasy X-2, many fans were very skeptical. A direct sequel to a FF game? Only 3 playable characters? A return to the Active Time Battle System (ATB)? Well, forget all your questions and complaints. FFX-2 is a Final Fantasy game through and through. If you are a Final Fantasy fan, you absolutely must get this game.

Pros:

Excellent (and fun!) battle system--very face paced

Dress Spheres are like the job system found in FF Tactics. Each Dress Sphere makes the character adept at certain skills and abilities. There is a thief dress sphere, warrior dress sphere, alchemist dress sphere and gun mage (Blue Magic) dress sphere, along with many others. Each one is completely different and equally fun to use.

The FMVS are absolutely amazing (although not as amazing as the ones seen in FFX)

The mission based gameplay makes the game very non-linear--you can visit anyplace in the game from the get go.

The story is very tight and well written, IF you complete all the sidequests and go to every single location (even the ones that aren't hotspots) in every chapter.

The game incorporates cultural references, old school video game references (now you're playing with power), and all sorts of other jokes into the gameplay. FFX-2 has style and humor, which was sorely missing in FFX.

Brother is hillarious. The Hypello are absolutely gut bustingly funny, nasty, and weird at the same time. Gotta love 'em!

The game has all your Final Fantasy staples: chocobos, moogles, secret dungeons, ultimate items, amazingly hard bosses, and tons of mini-games.

Cons:

Game can get too girly/giddy at times

Character voices can get annoying (Mainly Rikky and Yuna).

The graphics are mediocre for a PS2 game (uses the same engine as FFX; honestly FFX looked better than this). The facial expressions in the real time cut scenes are (most of time)absolutely ugly and horrendus. Just look at Yuna's eyes, and you'll see what I mean.

Not enough FMV (I only counted 7 or 8, and most of them are quite short)

Nearly impossible to get 100% in one playthrough (the game makes you do all sort of trite and annoying things to get 100%, many of which are easy to miss).

The music is now mostly comprised of J-Pop, which is okay, but certainly will not appeal to every gamer or FF fan.

Very difficult to level up your characters until you reach chapter 5

Most of the environments are the exact same as the ones in FFX

This game is short (took me 30 hours first time through), but it does have good replay value with the New Game Plus feature.

Honestly, FFX-2 is the most fun I've ever had with a Final Fantasy. The battle system rocks, the cutscenes are hilarious, and the characters (for the most part) are likeable. FFX-2 has everything that all the other Final Fantasy games have--it just presents them with more style and laissez faire atitude then the other games. Square has crafted another masterpiece, which if not for the subpar visuals and forgetable music, would be the best in the series. Once you start to play, your heart will melt and you'll be completely enthralled for a long, long time.

One of the Best games ever!

This is by far one of the best and most fun games ever. The graphics are mind-blowing, the voicing perfectly aligned with animation, and the music is awesome. The Sphere change system allows the player to change jobs in the middle of a battle. The visuals for these changes are beautiful. There are also lots of different jobs, like Gunner, Songstress, Thief, and some that you find as the game goes on. The battle system is very well designed. It is a real-time system that does not rely on a turn system. It will keep going, even if you don't want it to! The storyline is also very well written. There are lots of surprises. I'd say the only flaw is how hard it is to get 100% completion. If you miss one important event, you have to start all over again! However, it's still a great game.

good but i dont think they should have done it

I thought the game was good, it displayed a high level of special effects like the ffx, it showed all the characters from ffx apart from a couple of new ones, the levels were exactly the same as ffx with a new character upgrading system, I think the game is good if you havn't played ffx, I think that they should have went and made final fantasy 11 instead because the game is too similer to the first one and is a bit girly, if your a girl and into rpg you'll love this game. I am a great fan of rpg and especially final fantasy but i think this is the worst one of the lot, but it is still a good game and i think you will find enjoyment within it.

As far as a sequal goes it's pretty good

This is the first ff game that is a sequal and actually is pretty good. This game manages to go back to the job system that FF 5 (check out ff anthology) and does a pretty good job with it. As far as the story mode goes it is very unique because of it's mission type game play, it does allow you to go through the game quickly or try and get hte 100% completion status, so it does sort of follow the original final fantasy set-up while managing to be different. But before you do go out and spend your hard earned money on this game I suggest you rent it because it may not be exactly what FF fans are used to. If you want to check out another rpg that is a little more original then the average run-of-the-mill rpg try star ocean: second story if you can find it or the new star ocean: Till the end of time, you won't be dissapointed.

It's good

This game is pretty good. Now it's not any where near as good as Final Fantasy 10 being that Tidus isn't in it and not all of the original characters are in it. Plus, it's more hmm how should i say this for girls i guess.. Since the first scene you see is yuna singing in a concert, but i must say i love the songs they have in the game. It's awesome and the graphics are FAR FAR better than the fist one.... It's awesome! But the game is pretty sad too...
Some people will say the game is kinda corny.. and it kinda is.. but you still have to love it.. Like the dress sphere are awesome.. and Paine is kewl.. oh and Yuna is not a big pansy like she was in the other one.. and while Rikku is Rikku... It's a fun game and you should try it before you buy it.. Cuz i can say that it may not be for everyone... But i really liked it

Wow i bought this game right after winning FFX and its so annoying! I miss the GUYS. Im a girl and instead of being impressed or proud of having an all female cast I feel ashamed. The girls are so annoying and I don't really like watching them half-naked all the time. Oh and how i was half-way through the game when i realized you have to do 100% completion to have the good ending and had to start over cause i didn't talk to a moogle. Good Lord. I miss FFX

The games ok but not very good.
