Best Boxing Game Ever Made

Non-stop action, great music, the best graphics for a boxing game, realism, detailed, a lot of options in career mode and great individual moves. This game puts you in the ring against the best of the best. All for that title. Sweat, blood and tears that's the road your about to journey on. The best boxing game ever made.

The Controller is sticky

Get your mind out of the gutter people! Upon playing this game I was skeptical about how good of game it would be. At first the controls were hard to get accustomed to but after about 2 fights are so, you found yourself stuck in this game. Not so much feeling body blows and right hooks to the jaw, but the realistic graphics, the great sound, and actual contact made the game one of the top five boxing games up to date. (...) " Hold on, let me finish this first", "okay just one more round", can't put the controller down type of games. A definite must have in your collection. Its also good smack talking with your friends type of game. Hope you enjoy it too.

An improvement over KO Kings

This game is the most advanced boxing game out there. Total Punch Control gives the gamer the most realistic feel available so far, but it has some quirks. When it comes down to the 'types' of punches you can throw, it's really no different than just playing a game that uses the buttons as opposed to the analog stick. Fighters fight flat-footed, as they do in all other boxing games, and fast jabbing/putting together quick combinations just doesn't happen. The "rag-doll" physics feature is great - no more animated knockdowns that physically make no sense. Another gripe is the hip-hop/urban feel added to this game. The game was intended to be a realistic sim of the sport of boxing - why not use real ringside announcers, etc.? The game has a lot of potential, but needs a lot of work to raise itself to the same realism levels of Madden, NCAA, and Tiger Woods.

This game is great!

This is the best boxing game to come along in years, Electronic Arts has really outdone themselves on this one. The graphics are fantastic and the gameplay is fast and very smooth. There are the usual omissions in the available fighters Mike Tyson,George Foreman and Oscar Delahoya most notable. Other than that so far this game is well worth the time I spent anxiously waiting, kudos to EA for a job well done.

This game is RAW! Espically if you are a boxing fan like me! The punch control was a little hard to get used to but now its sweet! The online is pretty cool, just getting into that! But it has a fresh ranking system. Just wish it had David Tua in the game. The career mode is awesome also. look me up online at yahomie2. But this is by far the best boxing game ever put out! Thank you EA!

It's the best boxing game game ever. The only thing That needs improvement is the announcer. Big tigger? no, specially when you have a fighter such as the king of boxing "ROY" on the cover. Let Big Tigger handle the basement fighting

What a Knockout!

This game is incredible. It's like how Triple Play baseball turned into MVP baseball. They both were ok then just pow they were great. Don't get me wrong Knockout Kings was a good franchise but i'm glad to see them moving in another direction. First of all you use the right analog stick to punch which is awesome and works very effective. The graphics are so much better and has ragdoll phisics meaning that the fighter getting knocked down goes limp and has some pretty interesting fall. The music isn't my favorite but if you like rap you'll like it. There are plenty of fighters to choose from and a wide virety of stadiums. If you play carrer mode you start off fresh and work your way up to the big time earing money and unlocking cool items. They even have mini games to improve you boxer like Madden 2004. The damage to the faces is pretty real and it has a pretty good online mode so if you have the internet for your PS2 this could be a very cool experience for you. Internet or no internet this is a title you have to check out even if you don't like boxing.

The programmers at ea sports have landed a solid hook with this game. Tremendously well done. Great graphics, interaction, realistic fight stuff. Hours of enjoyment!

I was a little skeptical of the game after reading some of the reviews. But after playing the demo at the game store, I liked it enough to get it. The total control action takes some getting use to, but you can change it to regular button control instead of analog stick. Overall its a fun game.
