hey when i first heard about this game i was just happy because i love rap this game is hot and off the hook because i have the game for ps2 and the grahpics are nice and the voice acting too i mean i love the def jam arists and def jam ladies like lil kim shawnna from dtp and most of all carmen eletra these girls are fine than in real world we live in anyway if you are a big def jam fan i know iam buy this game because it better than any outher wresting game like wcw sucked backyard wresting witch is the stupid name of a game like that buy this game def jam fight for ny you will love this i love because it is fun to play and rember the computer will counter your moves so be careful how you take on the computer all right holla back

BLAZING UP THE CHARTS...
Well, Def Jam Vendetta is back, but, this time, it's "The Fight for New York"... This game has it all... A great storymode, an awesome multiplayer mode, and more options than you'll know what to do with...
You can create your own character and guide him through different levels/events that will score you money/experience points/girlfriends/etc... You can use your money/experience points to unlock new characters/levels, bling bling ; ), secret moves, etc. This game is very deep, and it will keep you busy for a while, trying to unlock everything... The difficulty level is adjustable, so, you will not get bored fighting at the same level... The control is great, the player models are seamless, and the levels are well laid out... I highly recommend this game for anyone who is a fan of wrestling/fighting games/or just the hip hop industry in general. (so you can fight as your favorite entertainer)

One of the best games I've ever played for the PlayStation 2! If you like Rap/Hip-Hop and/or Wrestling/"Beat-Em-Up's", you will absolutely adore DEF JAM: FIGHT FOR NY.

This game is the best you should buy it. Even though you don't like Rap or fighting or Wrestling you would love it.I love Rap I even rap never mind that the point is that you would love it.

Great Create-a-fighter
Longer than Vendetta
Great venues
Good rappers
Great Matches
and even more

This game is the best.
If you like rock there's Henry Rollins he trains you and you're even able to unlock him.You even get to fight with Bats,Pipes,brooms,Golf clubs,and MORE!!!

Fighters like Xzibit,2 guys from Mobb Deep,Flava Flav,Ludacris,Mack 10,lil Kim,Lil Flip,and MORE!!!

Venues like Gun Hill Garage,Red Room,Crow's Office,Club Murder,club 357 and Club 357 High Stkes,and more
I've been seating here for a few minutes and not thought of 1 bad thing about this game.

So if you like my Review you would like the game so if you like you can rent it to see you like it and if you do buy if you dontyou know what I mean so if you buy the game i'll tell you this

This game is so tight, it has all the rap artists, redman, lil kim, snoop dog, its all good. One thing thought, i don't have the game, i play it over my cousins house. The designs are off the hook!! me and my cousin had or character bling blingin, they have everything you need, clothes, jewelery, and of course jordans. I also like lil kim cause to me she is the game, she beats the crap out of carmen electra if you know how to use her. Plus i liked it when you can make your own character. P.S to the guy who says this game freezes, the disc might be scrached.

This game is off da hook man. You can play as alot of todays hip hop stars. You can customize your character in anything and is way better than Def Jam Vendetta. Like nike says,Just Do it and I mean as in just buy it.

This game sucks, only because the animation is choppy. The idea is great, the fighting styles are great, everythings great about this game accept the animation. This would be the best game, but for instance, they show a lot of video clips in between fights, or after fights or something, and there always choppy. So the pictures will freez, but the words will keep going, so the words wont match the characters. or sometimes the videoclips will just freez for like, 1 minute. Also sometimes the picture will keep going, but the words will stop. Also, keep in mind im playing this game on my new ps2, and the games brand new too. Also it happens with all my friends game also. So i am very dissapointed in the choppy animation. it makes the game not fun to play. So i think you should spend your $ on another game.

If you are a Vandetta Fanatic or just a fight fan, DJFFY is definitely going to make you wanna spend a couple of nites at home.

Right from the beginning the graphics are far better than DJV, but this may also be the source of the problem for this game as well(explain later). The ability to select your player's design is off the hook, especially with the clothes,and jewelery options (my female friend is loving that for sure).

The biggest gripe I have on the PS2 version is it freezes - it freezes alot!! It's not enough to dislike playing but after a while it can be irritating, especially in the midst of a fight, you execute a move only to find out the computer was able to counter and crack you one.

One review someone complained how easily the opponents get back up but my on advice to that is play an easier mode or learn to play your skills better.

All and all, this is definite the best fighting game I've seen this year. Despite the freezing (which may only happen on a PS2) this game is a must have even if its just to see Kimora Lee and LiL Kim get at it.

This the best game I ever played since Need for Speed Hot Persuit 2 on the PlayStation 2.
You can customize your character as you like from chin, nose, eyes, to hair cut, you can change the hair cut and shave in the barber shop later for sure, Dress up your character shirts, tees, pants, shorts, hats & shoes with many colors and styles, Buy jewllery like chains, ear rings & rings, Bulid your charcter body in the GYM and tech it new moves, Fight in many styles with finishing moves, Pot some body art on your character's with Manny.
Graphics are great and more real, You can go through the game story in diffrent ways, Fight in many clubs and with both sides (D-Mob and The Crow), Contains many RAP Stars like Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Ludacris, Fat Joe and Bust Rhymes, With the DUB style rides the game will be more great, Even the crowed can fight with you.
In the end Def Jam : Fight for NY is the best fighting game untill now.
