THIS GAME ROCKS

Okay UO rocks. Totally. I have been playing almost for a year and I am not getting tired of it. By the way if you want to meet me in the game my name is Sling Blade and I hang out around Britain. : ) anyway, the only reason this gets 4 stars instead of five is because of the lag which is good for the most part but can be really bad when tons of people get on, and because of the overcrowding, which resulted in me being unable to place my house which I saved all my character's life for. I also camped at a spot for five hours waiting for placement to start and some punk took my spot. So now I have no house thanks to their overcrowding. THanks a lot! BUt it is still a fun game and very much worth your money. Quit your Everquest account and start up your Swordsman or Mage or whatever, UO is the FIRST and BEST online RPG.

THis is a good game

This game is not for people who are impressed by the graphics. I saw on other reviews that it is expenisive because you have must pay for the online service. Not true there are various servers that are free. All you have to do is buy the game then download the file needed to play at ...then apply online for an account and your playing. Ive also heard on other reviews that it is too hard because players just kill you then they take your stuff. Not true in most towns there is a guard system and if anyone attacks you then you call the guards (.guards) and they are dead and in some places they are jailed in a real jail and real time for up to 1 day to a week. If they do kill you then they cant take your stuff in a town anyway. Alex from USA says that this game is not fun because it has cheap grapics. It was made somewhere in the 1990's, but there are other versions that have modern graphics. In conclusion this game has somtimes been called the greatest computer game ever created and many who play it says that it is.

This game is awesome! Not only is it online but it has its own online enviroment/economy! You can be the brave warrior or the wise mage or the swashbuckling pirate! You can own houses/or your own shop! You play with hundreds of thousands of people at one time in one world with multipule cities. You can tame dragons, horses, and bears oh my! This game is always being updated and blows EQ out of the water. Because UO is the original for MMRPOG. There is hundreds of things you can do in this game. UO, in any of its online forms, is not an Role-Playing experience...it's a second job. People new to this game may get the idea that it is a seamless multiplayer environment producing adventure, fun, and numerous interactions with other players--nothing could be further from the truth. The new player will likely see this "game" as a second job. One in which they log onto from 10 to 40 hours a week, to make clothes, bake bread, and build chairs. Then they take the proceeds buy equipment and adventure for one hour. Whereupon they usually lag on the system, their characters freezing. Only to be finally hacked apart by a pig or a cow. For this wonderful exercise, they get to pay the creators of UO a monthly service charge. Don't make the investment. Don't play this game

I do not agree with other reviews. Seers in the game, or people who organize events, are trying to make the game more fun and more of an RPG. They have organized things like in-game plays and treasure hunts in dungeons. You do not have to spend long hours doing skill gains because sometimes it is just fun to watch. Probably the only negative aspect of this game is that it is addictive. If you can control your urges to play this great game, and not over do it, then this is the game for you.

This game revolutionized the world of online rpgs. It's simply amazing. I've been playing it for months, and am still hooked on it.

This game has little to no flaws. If you don't have a fast computer and a very good internet connection, chances are, you're going to lag...often. That's the main problem the game has. Sometimes it can be absolutely horrendous, while other times it won't be so bad. You just have to make sure you pick the server nearest to you. In Ultima, you make a character, and virtually go out and do whatever you want. Want to be a fisherman? Go ahead! Grab a fishing pole and you're all set. A miner? tinker? warrior? Yes! You can be all those things and many more. The characters are so customizable. From their stats all the way down to the type of clothes they wear (and trust me, there's many to chose from!). Making a new character can be a long process, but once you get past that first bit, you'll be having the adventure of your life. There are more than a dozen towns in this large world, many dungeons and even land for placing your own house! But houses cost a lot of money, and money is something you have very little of at the beginning.

The new Renaissance pack is a definite improvment over the older version. There are two differnet worlds you can roam in. Trammel, which is like the light side of the world. Player killers cannot thrive here, people cannot loot your corpses, etc. The other land is Felucca. The darker side, where almost anything goes. Be on the lookout for thieves, player killers, evil npcs and more! There are always constant updates made to the game, so it never ends. There'll always be lands to explore and monsters to slay.

The bottom line is, if you're an rpg fan, get UO! Don't hesitate. One of the first, and definently the best online rpg there is. Look me up sometime on the Pacific server. My name is Mymas.

Good luck fellow adventurers, and have fun!

Ultima Online Rennaissance may be a little graphicly outdated for some of todays games, but that really doesn't matter. This game offers a more versitile and sentual world than any I have yet seen. You have more character options, continuously new patches and in game missions are being given, always making a dull day iteresting. Oh about the graphics, don't worry about it because you can always upgrade to Blackthorns Revenge or newer versions without loosing your characters or anything.

Ultima may not be the epitomy of role playing games, but personally, i don't care about that. The game is just plain fun to play. Even when you have a new character you get to see what your in for in bits and pieces. No one is going to try and block you from seeing a grandmaster animal tamer walk by with three dragons fallowing him. It keeps you into the game. Ultima online may be very addicting, but its worth it. The tutorial and newby town walks you step by step through the game to prepare you for whats comming later on. Every time you play the game you become better and better. Not just in yourself at playing it, but your character develops how you want him or her to. Almost every aspect is covered in the game, from stealing and lumberjacking, to fighting and blacksmithing. I give ultima 5 stars. From my own experience, its one of the best games i've ever played.

This game is wonderful. The gameplay is fantastic. You can own your own home to place your earned goods ( with work :P), Tame hundreds of creatures to become your pets, Make armor and weapons for your other warriors and people you meet, make tons of money in game and purchase whatever you desire. You meet people all over the world and is really a stress reliever. I've been on for over 2 years and I love it more every day. Come join me in the world of Ultima Online!
