I think that this game is great! The graphics are awsome and it's addicting. The only thing that I don't like are the dumb sounds that the men make when there getting healed. For example: ohhhhhhh, or eeeeeeeeeee! I think they should fix that! Other than that it is an awsome game!

Sudden Strike is a real-time strategy game set in World War II. It allows you to comtrol the Russian, Grerman, French, American, and British armies. The game includes bridges, houses, fortification, tree and all sorts of other destructible objects. You can also call in air strikes, parachute drops, and all sorts of fun things. It's big clam is that it will allow you to command nearly a thousand units per scenario. I play the demo and I like it. It play like the C&C but in World War II. It requires more planning, less grabbing, and random clicking. Needless to say, you'll be petty busy.
Fun, and entertaining WWII RTS

I would say this is C&C WWII style. The action is fast paced, and hard hitting, especially when you call in a full scale bombing run. Although, my only complaint is that there is very little realism. Sure there are some aspects to the game such as towing AT guns, but overall its more of a free for all than having any real strategy involved. But let me say, this game is very fun to play, and you'll be at it for hours. The sound in the game is great. From the sound of bombs and planes, to the "fruity" ambulance drivers (you'll know what I mean when you play!). When guys get shot they pull a William Shatner over reacting death pose, which is funny to watch. The explosions are really cool as well. You can pretty much level and destroy anything on the maps, be it trees, buildings or bridges. You can also play as a variety of countries, such as America, France, Brits, Russians or Germans. All have their own neat weapons and features. For example the Americans have paratroopers which will fill the sky when you call them in, and the Germans with their arsenal of Panzer tanks. Another cool feature is that the maps are very large and you can have hundreds of different units to control. Personally I would like to see teams or groups of soldiers, as it often becomes tough to keep track of everyone. In the game you can choose from single missions or campaigns, both of which are very well done and will keep you busy for a long time. Playing online is very fun as well and is much more challenging than playing against the computer. So, overall I really recommend this game. If you like games like Red Alert, and you like not having to build anything, this game is for you. Its an excellent, fun and entertaining World War 2 real time sim.
DO Not BUY ! (What a waste)

This game sucked. It was slow and uninteresting.
- The interface was awkward - motion and characters were user UNfriendly - it was not addictive nor captured my attention in the slightest - this seemed like low budget, small plot type of game
Please don't wate your money. There are so many better games at the same price.Lates, jules.
Pretty good, but not quite great

SUDDEN STRIKE is not the best WWII tactical RTS game, that is certain. The game obviously attempts to model itself more as a Command and Conquer or Total Annihilation than an SSI turn-based or Close Combat style of game. As such, the fighting can be complex and overwhelming, with lots and lots of units involved. Individual units ARE difficult to discern in the wonderfully crowded landscape, and a firm command of the grouping controls (plus liberal use of the PAUSE command) is necessary. Unit pathfinding is not nearly so bad as some have said, and a waypoint facility IS provided, although some reviewers have said otherwise (something that makes me question these negative reviews - did you read the manual?). The primary difficulty lies in timing coordinated attacks with vast numbers of units spread over a rather large map. Units will generally get to where you tell them to go quite easily - the difficulty lies in getting them to take proper cover when they get there.
The command interface is not awful, but the units' response to these commands can seem questionable. Movement is good, but COVER often appears to do nothing as units stand in the open and take casualties. In addition, the system often brings in reinforcements that operate on their own apparently standing orders, moving blindly into firefights if not told to do otherwise. As such, handling this interface can quickly become an exercise in mouse clicking.
The game LOOKS outstanding. Everything can be destroyed - even trees. B17 raids are stupendous. The sound...well, it's there, and it's sometimes repetitive and annoying. If you want a good WWII RTS game and you like frantic action, this is the game for you. If you want a more controlled, thinking-man's game in the same genre, get Close Combat III and IV.
Rock and roll

This game is great it has strtegic depth and has lots of cool animation. One flaw I found is that there is no random map maker but that does not even upset this game. There is plenty of fun to be had so if you want a great rts game buy this its really cool.
Don't believe the hype

Some people sing this game's praises, but the fact is that poor pathfinding, an utter lack of realism (infantry squads can destroy entire tank columns, B-17s fly close air support,...), and brain-dead AI make this game an exercise in frustration for most game players. Players new to gaming might enjoy the game's graphics and large number of available units, but the game's weaknesses will soon wear on them as well.
Realistic, kind of funny, and full of action

If there is one thing I hate it is when games cheat. This game gives each unit two range statistics, sight range and weapon range. Playing this game even on its easiest setting, I continually got wiped out by units that supposedly had short ranges. Even my snipers(which supposedly have long vision ranges and weapon ranges) couldn't barely see other units before getting killed. Snipers behind trees were no match for SMG units standing in the open. It was particularly lovely to see artillery out ranged by riflemen! With the cheat code to turn off the fog of war, this game became playable, but you shouldn't need to do that. Also I am tired of games that don't have mission editors. Yes this game is cool because you supposedly have lots of units at your disposal, but that hype means nothing when you don't have the ability to choose. There are much better combat games out there.
