The Best Out There!

I have never seen a game like this! It uses the latest 3D graphics there is and Combining a starwars game to a strategy game is GENUIS. You get over 40 vehicles to control Which include AT-AT, AT-PT, Dewbacks, Turrents, and never before seen rebel tanks! The Best part is you also get to play it over the Internet! This is one of the greatest games ever made before, and I recommand it to any starwars or strategy gamer out there!

Not worth the money

I was eagerly anticipating the release of this game. My system more than meets the hardware requirements, but I must say that it's hard to enjoy a game when it continually locks up less than 3 minutes into playing it. Save your money!

Becareful of this game!

I was very disappointed when I stuck the game in my AMD K7-600 machine and found out that it even slowed my computer down. I do have to admit the graphics are outstanding, but graphics don't help much if you can't play the game. I did check Lucas Arts site and they said that to run it you had to have 85% of your resources free. Not an easy thing to do considering all the stuff I have on my computer. I am hoping that adding another 128 MB chip into my computer will correct the problem. If it does I will resubmit my review. It is a great looking game. I am just hoping it isn't my Creative Labs TNT2 Ultra 32MB video card.

A Good Game But Still not as good as I hoped

Like I said in my title, a good game but still not as good as I hoped. First of all to make the game perfectly smooth, you have to have a brand spankin new computer. I have a 450 mhz pentium 2, 128 mb of ram, and an excellent video card. If your comp is anything less, I recommend upgrading your computer befor purchasing this game. The game play is good though. The mission and skermishis are fun, but the game is very limmiting. It's imposible to have as many units on the front intro all at the same time. And the fighters can act stupid sometimes. And something weird is on the back of the box, it shows A-Wings, yet there are no A-Wings in this game. The camera buttons are also very hard to learn, so playing the tutorial is a MUST if you don't know them by heart. The graphics and sounds on this game are remarkable. I mean Even the smallest Stormtrooper, or the largest AT-AT is detailed to the bone. I think this game is supposed to be a recovery for the not so great game, Star Wars Rebellion. (I also have a review about Star Wars Rebellion) Next time, I hope they make a game more like rebellion but much better. With Rebellion a good idea back fired. This game also doesn't hold your intrest very long, at least it didn't for me. Final Verdict: 3.5/5

Falls flat...

In the tradition of Warcraft and Age of Empires, comes Force Commander. You get the chance to control a fleet to do ground battle against (mainly) the Rebels. While this all sounds exciting, the controls and interface are not easy to master right away. The 3D graphics make the game harder to view rather than being an enhancement. If it were easy to control and view, this would be one of the best RTS games. Stick with Age of Empire.

Entertaining, Good graphics, Command points interesting

I have owned this game for a little over a week and have found it very entertaining so far. There have been numerous criticisms, but I think the graphics are great (watch the speeders engines heat up, at ats look great, zoom in and watch animated storm troopers from 10 feet away). The camera took me about 1/2 an hour to get used to, I skipped the boring tutorial and figured it out on my own. The command points are a great way of giving the tired rts genre some new life and more action. Try this game, at least d/l the demo. If you like the demo, buy it and enjoy plenty more units, levels, planets, and music. Adios...

this is great

ok i am a star wars zealot and the rating might have been a little do to the fact that i love star wars but i know a good game when i see it the interface is bad but everything else is great the clunk clunk of the AT-AT the look of the tie fighter.and the command points are a breath of fresh air.the single player mode is hard but not unbeatable.worth every bit of the money

Star Wars fans will love it, others...

If you are already familiar with Startcraft, Command & Conquer and dozens of simillar games, this game as nothing new to offer, you will probably quit after a few hours of gameplay. As soon as the novelty effect passes. If on the other hand you are a Star Wars fan, you will find added value to the game, because of the atmosphere mainly. Personally i got bored after 6 missions, the graphics don't offer nothing new, and the camera views is more troublesome than useful. If you have no game of the genre, it's a good purchase, otherwise stick to Starcraft...

A very good game

Do not be decieved by the other reviewers. i am a hardcore starwars fan and i found this game to be most entertaining. it is like Command and Conquer Red Alert:Yuri's Revenge. this game is in the third person and it shows the whole battle field. the game has a limit on the number of units so that it requires strategy instead of brute force. you can play as the rebels or the imperials. i found the imperials to be better than the rebels. the easiest way to win is to draw the enemy out with a squad of stormtroopers and crush the rebel scum from all sides with air attacks and AT-AT's. It was one of Lucasarts best games created.
