The Urbz: Sims in the City is one of the most enjoyable Sims games I have played in a long time. The Urbz provided me with an excellent gaming experience, with an astounding background story behind it. This game could have been better in some ways, but other than that, its a good game. You live in a small town called Miniopolis, thats trying to get taken over by an old rich guy named Daddy Bigbucks. During the game you have to do various missions to stop him, and these missions can go from easy, to unbelievably hard. Here's some pros and cons that I've conducted from the game...
Pros:
1. Pretty Realistic. Your Urb will have to eat, sleep, use the restroom, shower, and have a good time to keep going. All restroom and shower scenes are blocked, so there is nothing too inappropiate. If you don't eat or sleep, your Urb will pass out, or if you don't use the restroom in time, you will end up "doing your business" wherever you are at the time. Also, towards the beginning of the game, you will have to work to get your pay, and your house will get broken into if you do not pay for security. You can make friends, and lose friends, or just decorate your house with furniture. There's also Rep Groups, like there in real life. Richies, Streeties, Nerdies, and Artsies inhabit the town you live in, and you will have to choose what rep group you want to be in.
2. The Furniture. Theres a good variety of furniture that you can buy in the game. You can get things like DJ Turntables, or smoothie machines.
3. Create-A-Pet. Towards the end of the game, you are able to create your own pet by splicing DNA. You can create things from T-Rex's to Jackalopes, all depending on how well you splice.
Cons:
1. Always having to rush off to the restroom, or having to sleep can get annoying if you need to get your relationship with someone up to a certain level.
2. Graphics could be better. Seriously, this game looks like it was from the GBA! The Graphics could have been in actual 3D to push the DS's capabilities, but sadly, this isn't the case.
3. There is LOTS of reading. I didn't have trouble with this, but some younger kids might have trouble understanding the dialogue.
Overall, I rate this game a 4.5 out of 5. This is an enjoyable Sims game that is fun for teenagers, and adults. Happy Gaming! :)
Highly addictive, and fun

This is the most best game for the Nintendo DS. I got it for xmas. First you start off as a janitor working in the King Tower. Your boss is a janitor named Kris Thistle. you get promoted in your job, then get fired. You can buy a home, and pay rent like you do in real life. You have motives. one is to eat if you dont eat you pass out. Also there is the hygiene motive. Then there is the sleep motive. If you dont sleep you end up sleeping in the street which makes your comfort level zero. The most annoying motive is the bathroom motive. if you dont use the bathroom you end up peeing on the floor. Then you get sent to jail. A good tip is to do time. After you sleep you get let out. Dont pay the one hundred dollar fine. When you get to the club xizzle door, for the code enter "bucket". This game is very addictive. The only thing i dont like about this game is that if one of your motives are very low, you cant talk to other people. if you intend on getting a DS, i reccomend getting The Urbz: Sims in the City. Now Im a huge Sims fan. Im actually 13 but i forgot my password, so i had to use the kids review form.
Great DS Game

I've never been very interested in any of the Sims games; I played briefly when the original came out years ago, but grew bored rather quickly. When I purchased my DS in December, there weren't many games available for the platform specifically, and while I wasn't a fan of the Sims line, I was even less fond of sports games. So I picked up "The Urbz", and months later it is still in my DS.
Unlike my experience with the Sims PC games, "The Urbz" has more of a story line and quests to propel you along, which is a feature I've really enjoyed. When you begin the game, a small portion of the city and what it has to offer is available to you. As you build your way up the economic and social ladders more of the city is unlocked, as well as mini-games (aka "jobs"), quests, housing, and items. "The Urbz" makes good use of the DS's touchpad and does a good job utilizing both screens for maximum usability and game play enjoyment.
I'd recommend this game to anyone that enjoys rpg style questing and doesn't mind the occasional tedium of the more mundane everyday tasks that are part and parcel of Sims games. "The Urbz" offers more game play than many of the other games I have for the DS as well. All in all, a good buy.
AWSOME!!!!

This game is MUCH easier to navigate through than Sims Bustin Out. I love how you can have the map up WHILE you are running through town. You can pause whenenver you want to review your missions, popularity, inventory, etc.
I love how you can trade in 3 beads for special rewards like $10,000 or keeping hunger from degrading as fast.
The touch pad makes conversing with other people much much faster. It is really easy to build up popularity in this game.
I love how you can take college courses in this game to give you skill points, instead of grinding hours reading a book.
The jobs are easy to get promoted in. You can earn money lots of different ways (by recycling, making wood carvings, etc).
All in all, this is an excellent game to anyone who likes mini-games or The Sims.

The Urbz is even better than The Sims Bustin' Out! It's really fun and you can do many things. There are six levels per six missions and you're supposed to stop Daddy BigBucks from taking over the city and making everyone pay for everything.

This game is probably the best game for the DS. The storyline is pretty good and it is much morre entertaining then the computer Sims.
Storyline: 5/5
Graphics: 3/5
Gameplay: 4/5
The only problem I have with this game is that when you are trying to get to a place and a sim is in front of the entrance, it's very difficult to get in. Also they kind of droped the sims theme. Now just living in your house is boring and is very annoying when your sim has to take a piss. Once, my toilet was stolen and I couldn't get another one (It is also very hard to get a specific piece of furniture) So I had to pee on the sidewalk and then I would get taken to jail.
The game is very addictive and its good things overweigh its bad. If you are looking to buy a DS game, this is the one.
Buy it Buy it Buy it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First you get to choose gender, color, clothing and finally what kind of "rep" you want - streetie, artie, nerdie or richie. After all that you finally get to the story - and what a story! You start out life as a janitor, get fired, thrown into jail and must do battle against Daddy Bigbucks, who is trying to take over the City. Now when I say "battle" I mean "battle of wits". There is no killing, dying, et al. So anybody who likes this kind of thing - DON'T BUY THIS GAME. But for the rest of us who do, this is one of the cleverest games I've come across. I've played it a dozen times, and always find something new. (By the way, you can save 4 times and not lose your character.)
It's a little complicated, but definitely fun. The EA guys really worked hard on this one. It's very clever, not easily mastered (there's quite a few mini-games, not to mention keep your Sim from passing out!).
So if you enjoy SIMS on your PC you will definitely love this game.
