i got this game & thought it would be O.K. boy was i wrong. it was a BBBLLLAAASSSTTT. even though i havent beaten it (because i dont own a memory card) it rocked

Why don't you all stop writing "reviews" until you've actually played the game. Some of you talk about how you can't give 5 stars b/c you haven't played it yet...Why even bother giving your measly one star that only brings the ratings down for it? The ones that say they're "balancing" things out b/c people give 5 stars for a game they haven't played are just as bad b/c they're giving 1 star for a game they haven't played either. Some people don't realize how stupid they make themselves sound. I'll give this 3 stars b/c it's right in the middle, and no I haven't seen the game yet.

this game is the bomb i mean you can do anything siriously this game truely rocks. I really recomend that you get it. It is the best game on the planet. I love it. Plus you can do many things on the main menue. The best part is you get to blow planes clear out of a blue sky. You also get to take off from an aircraft carriers. Pretty cool don't you say.

TopGun is an excellent game. Although the controls are a bit complecated the crisp graphics, great sound, and gameplay make up for that. One of the best options would have to be the great (REPLAY) mode. Once you completed or failed your mission(s)this option comes up. Overall I'd probally give this game a 5 out 5 stars.

Top Gun The Ultimate Aerial Combat Game

There are two combat flight sim games out there for the PS2 1top gun and 2 ace combat 4. ace combat is an alright game but if you want real action with insane graphics well then kick the tires and light the fires and go for top gun. this game has 36 missions 15 acadamy(5 for every era) and for every combat era?(after tutorial);6 for era 1(veitnam) 9 for era2(gulf war) and 6 for era 3(artic) you start out with the f-14(an outstanding fighter but a bit slugish)which averages about mach 2.4 on max thrust and after completing all era one missions you recieve a F/A-18e/f super hornet(they say it is a c/d but the air frame and intakes say other wise[it is a bit slower mach 1.8+ but extremely agile})and after you compete era 2 you get the best plne of the game the f-22 raptor(once you fly this thing you'll know why[avg. speedMach2.6 super cruise and is the fastes most agile of the game}) and then after completing all missions you get the phantom(veitnam era jet but impressive) depending on your scores and mission ratings yuo can receive th yf-23(northrops jsf) the x-32(boeings jsf) the osprey(why i do not know useless in combat) or the harrier(slow but best for A2G)

I've sen this game at last E3. It already looked extremely impressive. Based on the previews I have seen so far, it 's a much better game than Ace Combat 4... I can't wait to fly this game !!!!!!!!

Top Gun is the greatest video game ever. I played a version of it when it was only 6% finished and it was tremendously fun. The graphics were fantastic, not quite as good as the NES version but thousands of times better than anything ever seen on the Atari 2600. So you know the PS2 version will just rock!... And while the gameplay wasn't quite finished, in fact the only controls up and running at the time were the select game option, I couldn't believe how addictive it was when selecting whether I wanted to choose the ACE difficulty setting, NORMAL difficulty, or TRAINING mode.... To all of you eagerly anticipating this game, I know for a fact it is worth the wait, because if the game is only nearly half as good as the load up screens, we are all in for a treat. So keep those five star reviews coming, this game deserves them.

I'm biased on this game as my Hubby worked on it, but it's is a good game, even for me and i normally don't play PS2 games, so try it before you criticise it!!!

This game is so stupid. The entire thing is just training and it takes forever to load!!! There may be 35 levels but there are only 7 jets. I recomend Ace Combat 4 Shatered skys.
