This game had one big missing link a season mode. the commanentry is boaring and it's not a real chalenge, so far there not a reel good NCAA b-ball game. also when i played with uva it was not even close to what U-hall looked like. wait for sega's college hoops 2k2.

Great Game- No options

Unlike what others say I like playing this game. The gameplay is very realistic. The graphics are pretty sharp and the AI is actually good at defense. The reason why this game is a failure in most peoples minds is that you can only do three things: play a regular game, play in the NCAA tournament, and create a school which you can use to do the other two options. There is no season mode which was very shocking to me considering that it isn't that hard to add to the game. If this was last year, I would have symphasized for them not having a fantasy mode because it is a college game, but after playing NCAA Football 2002, they have no excuse. The only reason why I bought this game over Final Four 2002 was because the graphics and gameplay in Final Four was so bad that all of its modes, including a very cool coaching mode where you start with a bad school and move up, couldn't make up for it. Final Four didn't even have a cross-over. Right now, if you want a college b-ball game than get March Madness, but if you can wait, stick around for Sega's game and then rent all three and make a decision.

Too Easy

I am an 13-year-old kid who started playing PS2 when I got it for Christmas, 2001. This game is way to easy. I beat Duke with Boston College 158 to 50, even though I had Duke on SENIOR. The graphics are bad and don't even look one bit like the real players. They all look the same, basically. It's also too easy to steal. Most of the time when you do a alley-oop it misses. The commentators are very bad, too. The only good thing is the crowd, and the glass-shattering dunks. Try NCAA Final Four 2002---it's way better.

DO NOT BUY

I bought the game because of the dynasty mode in 2001 for the playstation. I expected this one to have it and got screwed. This does not live up to past games. I've played this game once and will never play it again.

Wait till next year

The lack of season mode makes this game very old very quick. You can only play so many tournaments and exhibition games beore you just get bored with it. The only good thing about this game is the graphics. But they left out some features that made this game great on the PSOne, like a momentum meter that meant something.

I can't believe that EA would release a game without a season or dynasty mode, especially after how great it made NCAA Football. Hopefully they'll get it right next year.

Great game, but no season

This is probably the best college bball game that I have played.
It has much more realistic gameplay than live and the graphics seem to be better. The cpu even seems to play smarter besides some ill advised three's One major problem. No season mode. How hard could that possibly be to put in. My friend and I have a blast playing against each other but when he goes home and I want to get more indepth I get bored.

Would rather play Atari!!!

Bottom line, no season mode or dynasty. This is a joke. I had a been an avid EA fan since they started putting out great games, but after this debacle, I'm going to begin searching in other places. Congratulations EA Sports, you just lost yourselves a customer, and I'm sure I won't be the last.

Leaves a lot to be desired

Thank goodness I rented this game before I bought it! No season or dynasty mode, which are staples in every other sporting game out there, and the arenas and players aren't even accurate. If your tastes prefer an arcade style of game play, this might be what you're looking for with nice graphics and a good overall flow to the gameplay. But if you're into accurate simulations as I am, you do not want to purchase this game. Big disappointment considering what could have been done with a game as great as college basketball.

Why buy this Game???????

There is no reason to purchase this game. Rent it to see how graphics are but NOT TO BUY! There is no season or dynasty mode. Why make a sports game and not have a season in it. That is what makes you want to play it again and again.

DON"T WASTE TIME OR MONEY

I should have waited. I pre-ordered this garbage, and was psyched when it came today. Everything you have heard is true: gameplay is good, and graphics are unreal, but (and this is a HUGE but) NO season no dynasty, no nothing. Additionally, the players on the teams do not correlate to anyone on any college team, i.e. the numbers, skin color, and years don't match reality. I know they are college players so EA Sports can't exactly imitate them -- but they do in NCAA Football. Even the coaches are WAY off. Don't waste your time on this one. I can't believe noone makes a good college basketball game. If you took parts from this one and Final Four you would be on your way.
