This game has some of the best graphics I have ever seen. It also has very realistic player movements. The EASports staff really dii a good job on this one.

Despite what others say, this isn't that bad.

I can honestly say this isn't a favorite of most because of small options but I would like to choose the opposite outlook.
I have 2 things against it:
1. The biggest problem I have with it is they put 'Ol Peanut Scalp Shane Battier on the front.
2. He's from Duke, and I HATE DUKE!Go Heels!
I like this game very much, I'm not the realistic hoops virtuoso and unlike some sportsnuts out there I'm not hard to please. If a game has good graphics and generally good gameplay, this game has it 4-fold,I'll like it. I also regret to say there is only one other NCAA hoops game out there, and it's made by 989 sports, the suckiest developers to ever produce a sports title for any console ever made. NCAA MM 2K2 provides the feeling of a heated rivalry or a highly anticipated showdown,(Unc vs. Duke, anyone?)and the graphics on the contrary to other beliefs are nicely crisp and clean, so good, you'll think you are watching the games on your TV set. Now, getting to the final gripe that most have bitched about, the Options, the season is suprisingly satisfying because it takes you round by round through the tournament even if the regular season doesn't show. I have an idea whiners out there, take your favorite team, copy their schedule on a piece of paper and play through the season checking off games as you go and keeping track of your record and then, play the NCAA tournament. You'll enjoy this game folks, I guarantee it.

I'm writing this review a little differently. I'm writing it in comparison to the Live franchise. As I'm sure you're already aware, there is no season or dynasty gameplay option in MM 2002. While this GREATLY detracts from the single player experience, the game's gameplay itself is GREATLY improved over the Live series. Let's start with the rebounding. On Live 2001 and 2002, you more often than not chase down loose balls as rebounds. Rarely will you see a player actually jump and catch a ball off the rim. This is not the case in MM 2002. If you're on offense, you'd better put up a decent shot, because there aren't many offensive rebounds. No more putting up 3 after 3 because the defense can't get a board. No more throwing passes into a clogged lane. If you do this, it'll likely get stolen. The momentum meter, while usually limited to the college game, adds a measure of realism to the games. I mean, let's face it...when a team is on a roll, they shoot better as a team. In Live, this isn't the case. Now you people can cry about the dynasty and season modes being omitted, but if you'd have done 10 minutes worth of research, you'd have saved 50 bucks, so quite your crying. A great improvement in GAMEPLAY than EA's previous attempts. A step in the right direction, even though it's but a step

I hated this game!

This game was just not fun to me. First of all the game just had a exhibition mode and a tourny mode, and after a while the game gets really boring. They should have of put a Franchise mode or at least a season in there. The graphics were ok, and the best thing was that you could create-a-team. But that was really the only good things. I thought both NCAA March Madness 2002, and NCAA Final Four 2002 could have been better. I guess I'll have to wait untill next year.

The reason there is no season mode, is because of the title: MARCH MADNESS 2002, which means this is a tournament game!!!! That is why there is only a tournament mode! If you want to play a seson with out all the march MADNESS, buy NCAA Basketball 2k3!!!

Now I can see why they picked this title.

First off, let me describe this game in 3 statements.
...Not only is this the worst college basketball game EA Sports ever made, they make it worse by putting Shane Battier on the cover. Oh, and for all you Duke Blue Devil fans, read and weep. ... UNC #1!!!! This gameplay is so horrible, it makes you want to run this game over w/ an 18-wheeler. The graphics are also horrible. They are the same as the ...year before. If there was a 0 stars rating, that's what I would give this piece of ...

MILD DISSAPOINTMENT FROM EA SPORTS

FINALLY EA HAS MADE A GAME THAT IN MY OPINION HAS FALLEN BENEATH THEIR USUAL AWESOME STANDARD. DONT GET ME WRONG THE GRAPHICS ARE PRETTY SWEET BUT GAMEPLAY IS SLOPPY AND UNREALISTIC(YOU CAN GET A BREAKAWAY OFF A STEAL BLOCK OR SOMETIMES EVEN MISSED SHOT) AND ANOTHER THING: THERE IS NO SEASON MODE, YOU CAN DO A TOURNAMENT BUT WHAT GOOD IS THAT WHEN YOU CANT HAVE A COMPLETE SEASON? ALSO SOME TEAMS ARE RIGGED (LIKE DUKE AND MARYLAND)AND ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO BEAT. SO OVERALL NCAA M/M IS A DISSAPOINTMENT BUT IF YOU LIKE COLLEGE GAMES(LIKE ME) YOULL LET MOST OF THOSE THINGS PASS.

This is without a doubt the best college basketball game to come out since Coack K for the Sega Genisis. It is very realistic
and the game play is exceptional. It play's like NBA Live 02' Only Better. (NBA Live isn't that good). The only gripe I see anyone having is there is no Regular Season or Dynasty Mode. But its still the best College Basket Ball sim.

Still March Madness

After reading a few of the other raters, I decided to see for myself how pitiful this game was. It's fun as hell, but I agree with everyone else in regards to the dynasty mode. How can you have a sports game and not have some type of season or anything. Also, EA must have had Shane Battier's insight because Duke get's all of the calls. And for the reader who said he scored all those points on Duke, it must have been on Freshman mode!!!
