Awesome Game!!!

A great game!! The new nations to choose from add a great deal of new tactics and other fun alternatives to win. The campaigns are great, and the War of the Ring mode is just a simple RISK version, but the new AI is much more skilled and way more difficult to defeat. making skirmish games much more fun and challenging. Great graphics. The custom heroes are a fun way to add your own character into the story. All in all this is probably the best RTS game I have EVER played.

The only review you need!

I have read the other gamers reviews, and some of them just wont cut it for me. Why are you here reading these reviews? its because you are looking for an RTS game correct? Well I say look no further. A game with many different armies! Gondor! Mordor! Isenguard! Elves! Dwarves! Goblins! and Rohan! Countless hero characters! sub-hero characters! Great allies on the battle field such as Dragons! You can call in at anytime! I believe you can have 500 units on the screen at one time. 500?!? Its unheard of! Build towers and buildings, fortresses and walls. Play in i don't know HOW MANY different battle fields, and unleash the full potential of your enormous army. Build your own hero characters that alow you to do many awsome things such as a stealth corrupted man. You can use this guy in a battle to sneak into an enemy base, disguise yourself as one of them, and assasinate their leader before they even know your there. (they are all distracted by the army you just sent on a full force charge into the front lines of their base).Anyone who says that isn't cool, is lying through their teeth. Onwards! Your hero characters have so many powers and abilities and bonus's its just unbelievable. Play as tree wielding trolls! You want to see what would happen if you lead the dwarfs on a full scale attack on Mordor? Find out for yourself. Want to duke it out with Gondor versus Isenguard? Find out for yourself. Sick arragorn on your foes, and watch him go nuts. If any of that fits the discription of your dream RTS game, then buy it! You will NOT be sorry :)

When I heard there would be a new BFME game I was so excited. I had so much fun with the first one. Even though this one has new armies to play, new powers and heroes it's a lot less involved than the first one. The campaign mode was much shorter than the first BFME. I still enjoy playing this game and the new create a hero feature is fun.

DVD Version may not work

I bought the Collector's Edition. Install went smoothly, game startup got me the message that I needed to enter the game disc. So I verify that I have the game disc, and get the same message. Swap the discs, get the same message.

I spent several hours going through the support steps on the website, and the phone support person was kind enough to read where it says deep in the manual that some Sony-brand DVD players will not work. That would have been helpful to know before I bought the DVD version.

I am now at the point I don't care how good the game is, I'm not spending another second to make it work. Stay away from the DVD version.

Terrible Experience

I bought this game for the sole purpose of playing online. Too bad the online portion of the game doesn't work. (The fact that a patch is ALREADY available just reeks of the fact that they rushed this out without proper testing.)
So heres my story. I logged on no problem. I tried to host a game. The game locked up my system. Now I can't log on at all. I recieve the message "Can not complete transaction in the current service state." This has got to be the most cryptic error message since Windows 95. Having no clue what the message means I attempt to call technical support. Good luck there. First off the menu system makes you listen to SEVEN options for the game Battlefield 2 before you can access an option for ANY other game. I guess battlefield 2 is even less ready for release than this one was. After finding the right option, I was subjected to what HAS to be the most obnioxious wait music of all time for SEVEN minutes before a recoreded voice told me my wait would be TWENTY-FIVE more minutes.
Maybe their online support would be better right? Wrong. After filling out a lengthy report of my problem, the website told me I was not able to submit it because java scripting was not enabled on my browser. The only problem is that it IS allowed. Good job all around EA. I will NEVER buy from them again.

Everything is amazing graphics, characters, creating a hero, fighting, and the buildings. Except command limit. In command and conquers Genearals you can have as many people as you want. This you can only make like 12 squads or whatever and a couple of heros. It's still pretty cool so buy it.

Great!

This game is really really fun. When you first start playing, you'll get instantly sucked into it. The game is always challenging (never a dull moment). As your skills improve, you can play a harder AI. And once you are really really good, you can test your skills in an excellantly made oline arena.

Good luck!

Make more Ea... PLEASE?

Battle for Middle Earth 2 is ausome to play and is even better when u own the first one because the changes are really good and balanced. The new factions and the new units are fun to play with along with a customizable fortress and the War of the Ring is cool especially if u have played risk before. The new Create a Hero is ausome because u can take a created hero and put him or her or it into a skirmish and a live multiplayer match. The Graphics have improved immensly and the ai is fun to play against. To sum it all up... oh heck just go buy it.

great gameplay great music. the stratgey part of the game consists of get a bunch of units together and throw the at the other army no tactics or formations. even when u put them in a formation once u give them the move order or attack order they all bunch up.That was my main complaint other than that it is a fun game.
