Better than Diablo 2 ?

Your first thought will be : "Hm, is it as good as Diablo?" Then you'll play half an hour and think "It is a damn good Diablo Clone". But then, after one hour...."This is not a Clone. This Game is bigger, better than Diablo ever was." But that won't be all. You'll play hours and hours...and finally you'll recognized that you cannot compare this game with Diablo at all. It is different, not completely different, but different. And then, after you finished some quests, got a lot impressive Items and Spells, you'll come to the conclusion that this game might even be better than Diablo 2. It has the right atmosphere, cool Spells, an atmospheric Soundtrack, easy handling and fun, fun, fun. Westwood did a great Job with this game and i doubt that Diablo 2 can really compete with this. Do not take me wrong, I loved Diablo and i BET that Diablo 2 will be a great game, but still...something tells me that this game is just cool...sorry, i do not have time anymore...NOX wants me...the Dungeons are calling...there is a new quest that i need to solve...it calls me...the old Diablo addiction is back....but it is worse than ever...NOX...NOX...

Congratulations Westwood....one of the few titles that is REALLY worth buying !

I would characterize this surprisingly playable game as the first person shooter (yes, meaning the UT, Q3 genre).

In juxtaposition against the original Diablo, Nox has a lot fuller content and a more coherent story line consistent with a role-playing type game. Though I would admitt that the story, while just fine, is not awe-inspiring like Torment.

In juxtaposition against Baldur's Gate, Nox is a lot more fast pace, requiring infinitely more mouseclicks and less thought in combat. Agility of fingers--not strategy--rules the day here. In that respect the game is similar to Diablo, but with the added dimension of more player movement option like jumping (ie a first person shooter).

In multiplayer the game gives you UTisque options like...uhu...capture the flag? That is a very creative concept for a game like this and it adds to the replayability.

The graphics and sound are very good but certainly not revolutionary. The bottomline, though, is that Nox is extremely fun to play. In the end, isn't that the ultimate purpose of a game?

When I bought Nox I wasn't expecting anything more than something to quench my thirst for Diablo 2. But as I got into the game I relized that here was a beautifuly rendered game with a gripping story line and a pleasing array of side quests and immersing backgrounds. I recommend anyone this game who has finished Diablo 2 or wants a good RPG.

Nox for the PC is one of the best RPG's i've played for the PC.It has fun gameplay, sweet graphics and all aruond great play. If you like Diablo 2 you'll love Nox. it's top down 3rd person view is very helpful sometimes. I never get enough of it. Oops time to go I need to beat hamlet of brin any way Nox is a great buy well worth the money.

Best interface I'v played. Sleeper surprise.

The interface is super well done. Made enjoying the game easy. It was for me a real surprise how well it was done. It did not recieve all the hype many games get yet it is as good as any other I played (i.e. Diablo, ...) and unique in many ways. As in all RPGs there is a spot or two where the play gets a bit teadious but this game had much less of this than others. Each of the three character types requires a truely different style of play. One aggressive (hack and slash with weapons and armor emphasis), one moderate (magic bent with spells and charms emphasis), and one defensive (summoner idiom with "let your friends do the killing while you try and stay out of the way" emphasis). Each requires different actions and thinking strategy, and each is just as fun as the others, just different; which means there is good replayability even if you don't go online for a fight. This game is growing harder to get these days so if you have an interest act now.

this is one of the neatest games I've played. OK there are no chick characters and you can only customize you char so much, BUT it's so funny. The sound effects, and the visual is just great. It's not very realistic looking and it's a little faster than what I was used to, but it's definitely way too much fun (extremely time consuming, as every time I play, I end up at my computer for hours!)

OK i won't be long have to go play again. It kicks it has 3 very different classes a unique story for each and it is a lot better than diablo the spell combos are amazing multplayer is so much fun and... too much have to play I have beat the wizard and the warrior must beat conjurer only on chapter 3

An Excellent Game

This game was excellent and fun to play. The game from Westwood has you choose from being a wizard, conjurer, or warrior, and fight off Hecubvah and her evil necromancers.
The game has good graphics and it keeps you busy playing it. You can play the solo and defeat Hecubah or you can go online and play with other people.

This game for the pc is the best game that i have ever played! I deffinately reccomend this game to rpg lovers!
