Bethesda Softworks has done it again with The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. With graphics that will take your breath away and in-depth gameplay that follows in the footsteps of Morrowind, Oblivion keeps players enthralled for dozens, if not hundreds, of hours. Oblivion defines next-generation role-playing. It's no surprise that it was ranked #1 by voters just weeks after its release in the GameBallot ending April 9, 2006 at http://www.gameballot.com/

Graphics are average for this next gen console. Was one of the first games out, so that is to be expected. Game play is fun and long. If you like RPG games, then this one is a GREAT one. Only draw back is no online play like a Worlds of War Craft.

Didn't come with a manual. But arrived in a very timely manner with good condition. Think the manual ommision was a one time thing. Would buy from this buyer again.

I dont know what all of the fanfare was about.

I don't see why all of the reviews thought that this game was great. The game mainly consists of a bunch of wandering around and once you actually go into the hell type of environment there is very little variety on the monsters and it is way to hard. Also I think that the inventory system is clunky. Pretty much a general rule that I follow anymore is that any game that is touted for having the best graphics on the market is usually just a piece of eye candy with nice visuals but boring game play that gets old very fast.

Great Game with TONS of Gameplay!

I've had this game for roughly a month now, and have played 70 hours worth of it already. I am no where near being close to finishing it. I downloaded some free content (Mahrunes Razor Quest), and that took me about 12-15 hours to pass. Game is absolutely brilliant. Oblivion would get my vote for Game of the Year 2006. Considering I also own Gears of War, that is saying quite a bit.

This is the kind of game that you can play, and play and play. Time goes by fast when you play this game as well. Recomended for anyone, I wasn't into these types of games until i played oblivion e.s. and now i love them.

I've never been much of an RPG fan but with all the rave reviews Oblivion was getting I had to give it a shot. Wow im glad I did! Such a unbelievable game. I've never been sucked so deep into a game since the original Tomb Raider came out for the PS1!! You can travel and explore every square inch of land as far as the eye can see, and what really impressed me was that no 2 people playing the game will have the same experience... your actions have consiquences, much like in real life.

WORD OF WARNING: If you buy this game be prepared to have your social life sucked into your HDTV. You'll neglect you're girlfriend, boyfriend, wife or kids. If you dont mind that then go out and get this.

great game, even better value........

with the current gaming industry spilling out games that run 8 to 10 hours, and have no replay value (even on XBOX Live, where multiplayer only lives until the next big game comes out) nice to see Bethesda cranking out another Elder Scrolls that is very deep, immersive, and best of all, hours and hours and hours of gameplay.

well worth the money. maybe the only game i haven't thought twice about spending $60 on, versus the $50 from the previous generation's titles.
