They took out two of the things that made the game Great....

I am a huge fan of this series! However, I am a fan of the Originals (I gave this Four stars becuase even with the changes, it's still a good game and I would recommend it to RPG fans who haven't played the originals). Part of what made them So great was the Old stye Speech (A very important part of the game), which they removed for this version. Another part was the Perfect Hero, Erdrick (A very Heroic, Royal, And Memorable name), which they re-named Loto...Yes, Loto. Honestly, I would have still been very upset, but not nearly as infuriated as I am if they had at least chosen a better name than Loto. The name Loto for a Hero doesn't cut it for any respectable RPG. Getting Rid of Erdrick was a BAD idea altogether, but changing it to something as bad as Loto was downright wrong. Those two changes are what turned me away from this game. It gives the Dragon Warrior Series a bad name. Anyway, I'll finish before I get into too much of a rant. For anyone who has played the Original games, or wants to see the games how they were intended, go pick up an old NES and the original games from some Auction site! (It'll probably cost you less too!) For newcomers, however (even though I still suggest getting the originals), It's not a bad buy.

Not as good as the original...

Although the games themselves are very good, and should be played by anyone who likes RPGs, there is one major difference that casts a dimlight on these games: the originals used a more archaic language. They used "Thee" and "Thy".. it's just not the same...
