Why Is This An RPG?

I don't get why this game is in the RPG section. It was fun,and I want to give it four stars, but it really isn't a RPG. Notice,RPG = ROLE PLAYING game. This is an adventure game. You never make major-story-altering events, there are no ways to push the world to the limits, become a bandit be a great hero, you are just a group of people railroaded from one location to the other. Sure there are secret areas, but that's not roleplaying. FF XI should be fun, online will MAKE people roleplay. Play this game as an adventure and you'll love it, the story is fun.. END

This is the fourth Final Fantasy game released in the US. It has some great characters and amazing mini games. It suffers from the charactors being too simular and the fealing of "been there done that" with the plot. Also the PC version of the game is missing a lot of the features that should be in a PC RPG like the ability to save any time or mouse support. Also make sure you have a compatable video card or else you will have to make it 1/4 the screen size for it to run faster then 5 frames a second.

Best Ever? Not even Close.

Extremely linear game that becomes boring quickly. Much better than many console style RPGs but really should not be considered by experienced adult RPG fans.

Bad graphics, re-hashed plot, an extreamly linear story line, a horrible main charactor, and un beatable enemies. Avoid it. If you want an adventure game Play Zelda, if you want an RPG get Baulder's gate. Both are a lot better.

What the hell was going on when you people did this!?!?! The only bit of help I got was in those few sections, where it's not exactly clear where you need to go next (i.e. City of the Ancients, Disc 2), and to help beginers with materia junctioning. And I am missing 2 and only 2 of the Enemy Skills, no thanks to the guide, which only gives you about 10. If you want secrets, hop online kiddiesm cuz this was just no good at all. I'm not even sure if it listed anything about thar damned, locked treasure in the man house in Kalm. Also, no 1/35 soldiers...I have 3! Where are the others? Save your money for something good.

Basically, this is the best RPG ever that no gamer should be without. I don't usually like RPGz, but this will effect your gaming life forever.....As 2001 comes and new consoles come in, I doubt many games will break ground like this one did.

When I first installed the game I was ready to see some playstation all over the place. Boy oh boy was I wrong! As I got farther in the game I felt as though I was there talking with the charecters, and with battles! God, I've never seen an rpg fighting situation/layout so well put together before in my life! Whether I was casting Cure 3 or letting loose the fury of Knights of the Round I was dazzled and amazed by it's effects! I must say that Final Fantasy 7 is by far the best game/rpg ever!

I really like FF series, so I bought it without hesitation. Though I noticed that same music is played in many scenes, it still can regarded as awesome game, especially in terms of it's incredible graphics. Compared to FF6, Graphics is beyond description. Also the plot is really interesting and unpredictable. If U're spending boring time recently, get this one and enjoy it.

even now years after its release this game is still incredible. It still remains one of the better final fantasies, and one of the best games ever made.

this is the best game i have ever played with the most interesting plot ever. If u are looking for an rpg that has a great plot, mind warping puzzles, and is great fun, this is the game for you!!!!!
