This is probably the best RPG of all time. If you like RPGsyou will difinitely love this game. here are some pros and cons of this game:
pros
-fantastic storyline
-great movie scenes
-characters are awesome

-the graphics are pretty good for playstation (game originally released on playstation), but not as good as most later released games

I thought that getting the pc version was a waist of money but it was worth it. Not going to say anything more really besides this game is good and better for pc.

What makes a game great? What is it that makes a game fun? Well there are certain things that just bring all these things togather. Final Fantasy 7 is one of those games that just brings it all in and just lets you notice the greatness. Final Fantasy 7 has all the basic charecteristics of a good RPG. The story line is in depth and has twist after twist that you were never expecting. Final Fantasy 7 also creates an atmosphere that captivates you and just expresses the feeling of that certain town or that area of the world. Also Final Fantasy 7's charecters are unique and different in almost all their ways. Each one of them has their own past and personal experiences. This also includes their own personal sacrifices and charecter flaws (I mean come on lets face it not even heros are perfect in every aspect.) And now for the grand finale, Sephiroth! The sweetest bad guy in the entire gaming world. Don't want to ruin anything but you hate him when Aries dies but when he's walking through the fire at Nibelheim you have to respect him. All these aspects just make you want to replay the game over and over again and when you're playing it for the first time you just never want to put it down. Buy it you'll love it!!!!!

The game is extremely linear and quickly became boring. It is very easy. I mean there are no puzzles or challenges whatsoever. I don't think I lost a single battle in the entire game. Don't be fooled by all the great reviews. They must have beeen written by pre-teens or very new RPG players. This game is not suiable for adults. It is very good for a console style RPG with many interesting places and effects. However, there are no intellectual challenges and the story is extremely childish.

This game is pretty cool and has pretty easy play, but it freezes very often(I have a PIII 450 192 MB RAM, Voodoo3 Video so it's the game). Also the game is sluggish without a controller.

This truly is a great game. Granted, FF8 is better in graphics, but it can get really confusing when you need something right then and there. Also, when I loaded the game, the videos were upside down! I went to eidos snd fixed the problem with a patch. NOW, the videos are great, the midis run smoothly, and the gameplay is excellent.

this is by far the best final fantasy game to date. you just cant stop playing this game. you beat it, stop playing it for a month or two and then, one day, your ready to go at it again. you do this over and over until final fantasy 8 comes out.
