Prepare to be frustrated...

Take my advice: DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! I had heard no end of praise(at Amazon especially) for it and I know it would have been great. But the units take quite a while just to start moving after being told to move!!! And don't start thinking "oh,the CP was too slow". I upgraded to a 1.7 gHz computer, and it didn't help.
We got a graphics card with an nVidia Ge Force 4 processor, which is the latest thing, and it didn't help,either. All my other games, which had been working fine, got better. ... it only works on Windows ME, which was discontinued some time ago.
In summary, the words I would like to use to describe this game would get this review banned from the list. ... EE is a total rip-off ...

If you are looking for age of empires 1 or 2, or even command and conquer type of games, this one isnt up your alley. Its styled similiar to myth 2, but the play is built more like an RPG type of game, i was disappointed after allthe hype, maybe you wont be, but C&C and AOE it sure isnt.

Must get this game!!!

We have all played age of empires right? Your in the prehistoric ages and you have to biuld a new world. Well take that and ad the rest of human history Youll get empire earth.Empire Earth is my favorite game because unlike age of empiers its got so much more to offer.You will start out in the pristoric ages go through the middle ages and into our time spaning across 14 epocs in all.Also the graphics have inproved over age of empires. You can now zoom in and see the battle in the eyes of a solder. The only problem i have heard with this game is it runs slow. It dosent run slow on my computer witch has 512 mb of ram so if you have that than your ok.But even on my computer its slow when you play mulitplayer.This is a must for anyone who wants a challange,in age of empires you could have a game beat in a copple hours or so but not in empire earth you might have to save and work on it for over 3 days. The fact is this is the best real time stragty game for your money so anybody looking for a challange or just a good game will like Empire Earth.

This is the worst game ... I got it because of all the cool units and graphics. I even went online looked at reviews online and alla were great. So I bought it I made a scenario for it. At first I just thought it was slow just because I put too many units on the game. Wrong I started a regular game but the same thing happened. Also it take about 10 minutes for the game to save. Also I am not lying when I say this I told one of my cybers to attack an enemy unit but it took 5 minutes for it to respond. For those of you who want a game similiar to empire earth I'd go with Total Annihilation. It's an old one for Windows 95 but I personally think that it's better. It's even got more defence units such as torpedo launchers and missle turrets which Empire Earth doesn't have. So for those of you who want to buy Empire Earth think again.

Well from the preveiws this game looks awsome. it is like Red alert, AOE, Civilization, Sim City, and Mechniwarrior all roled into one. From Cave men with clubs to Bunkers with ICBM's This game has it all. Not to mention the 3-D game engine witch none of the other games have except for the Mech's which [is unfortunate]. With Features including Custom Civilizations, 12 Epochs, Historical based Battles and Events (for those history buffs out there), great multiplay online, day and night cycles and seasones, Plagues and disasters, Over 25 Heros, Realistic terrain and battle stratigies, And with over 300 Diferent units and Upgrades, This game Packs a real Arse Kickin. Five Stars. A Really Great Buy!

I have done an incredible amount of reading on Empire Earth, so much it would make normal people sick, and the game just looks amazing. If you want to really find out what it's all about go to the PC section of ign.com and the to previews and read the one for Empire Earth, you'll be astounded at how great it sounds.

This game has the best graphics i have ever seen.The trees sway back and forward and the water is very clear and you can see every thing underwater.There are lots more soldiers hat can be made unlike Age of Empires where there are only about 20 soldiers you could choose from,but in this game there is constantly new upgrades to your soldiers and buildings and units.I have the demo and the game looks G*R*E*A*T.I know I am getting it are you...

Look - I like Real Time Strategy games as much as the next guy. I loved StarCraft, Dune II, Command and Conquer, and their ilk. I loved Age of Empires. So when Sierra (a company I have followed since Ken and Roberta opened shop in the 80's) announced a MASSIVE RTS with all the whistles and bells - I started drooling in anticipation. The letdown was enormous!

I have a P4 1.6 GHz computer with a 64 Meg Video Card and a 128 M 3D card with 1 Gig of RAM. ANYTHING should run smoothly - regardless of the number of units or art style. Normally games tend to lag online - it's just a fact of life - you deal with it. BUT TO LAG ON A COMPUTER ABOVE AND BEYOND THE REQUIREMENTS, IN SINGLE PLAYER MODE, IS ABSURD! The art is repugnant, the sprites are rediculous, the gameplay is so incredibly dense, slow and hard, I regret ever having given my money for this tripe!

Much better than Age of Empires

While Age of Empires only lets you control the far past, Empire Earth includes the past, the present, and even the future. There are a lot of great units which evolve as you progress through ages. The graphics are also much better than those in AOE. It is also full 3D. Also, the different scenarios, units, and structures are historically accurate. This includes the ancient Greeks and Romans, WWI, WWII, and much more. If you liked Age of Empires, you'll love Empire Earth. I highly recommend it.
