I "must Have" for every strategy game fans!

I must have for everyone! This game is a strong game that Sierra devellop. With beautiful graphics and a lot of civilisation this game is the best (for me) in the strategy categorie.

this game is awesome!!! a ton of people make bad comments on it but, those aren't true! here are some good stuff abut this game

spanning 500,000 years from the prehistoric age to the middle ages to the WW2 age and to the nano age of the future!

lots of different units from rock throwers to swords men to archers to tanks to atomic bombers to bazookas and robots!

different maps like highlands, mediterranian and small islands!

some bad things are...

4 different campaigns are litterally impossible

when playing against the computer it is impossible to win unless you use cheats

EMPIRE EARTH ROCKS!(...)

This is the reason Microsoft didn't launch Age of Mithology

After playing this game, you can forget Age of Empires! This game is awesome! You can start with a tribe in the middle of nowhere in prehistoric times, and end being a super-power of the world with cyber-warriors, airplanes, ships, nuclear submarines... anything you can imagine! And you can zoom-in and out!!
I think that after the release of Empire Earth, Age of Empires is now obsolete, and Age of Mithology couldn't challenge it... so, Microsoft delayed the release of Age of Mithology, to improve their game.

Unbalanced and No Fun

I have played this game exactly four times. Three against the computer and one online. The computer AI cheats, literally - read the forums on this game - many people have investigated and determined that the computer builds up resources and advances much faster than the human player is allowed to. This amounts to a game where you build your civ for a while, then the computer troops come in and wipe you out before you've even had a chance to accomplish anything. No fun.

I decided to try the online play since playing vs. the computer was so unenjoyable. I found snotty ultra-skilled players that wiped me out in under five minutes - again no fun. These people were not even nice - I asked them for tips on how to play and they just sent back nasty messages.

So - this game is a total bust. The gameplay is so unbalanced that the player can never get into it in any detail. You just start playing defensively right away and then lose.

I regret buying this title.

It crashes my machine

I tried installing this game on at least 5 machines
ranging from XP, 98 , 2000 and ME and finally managed to make it work on one of the 98 Boxes, The games feels very slow .... .
I want my money back or at least compensated for all the time I wasted just trying to install the darn thing.
None of my freinds can install it on theirs so we ll be playing Age of empires not this .... I wish they'd released at least in the beta stage not this vapour-ware stage. Shame on you ....

This game is loaded with ation. You can go from men that throw rocks to robots that shoot rays and missles. The game gives you the ability to just build up your own civilization and protect it from enemy forces in random map mode or you can just play a campain mode. It also gives you the option of being able to create your own map or campain. This game is such a great improvment from age of empires 1 and 2. I certainly recamend this game.

Bad Game Play

This game have good graphic but fail badly in game play.

For example : the trevuchet has too fast of a rate in firing and hits infantry up close that is not accurate at all... Did these people that design the game ever play AOE2... My god, the game is very long just to defeat the computer on easy. And when you think you defeated the computer, it has several ships just hiding somewhere on the map, thus taking more time to search for them...

I didn't like the map at all, it doesn't seem real and hard to see if my troops are moving in the right direction...

Also, the bomber are stupid: for example if an enemy troops comes near your place, the bomber will totally bomb that area including whatever is around it, makes it worst if the bomber plane had an atomic bomb...

the ships are bad too, making them hard to move and takes them time since they bump into each other...

Oh, yeah I love the Wonders, which looks nice but don't do jack...
For Example: the Babylon Tower suppose to reveal that area of the ocean, thus lighting up anything within its surrounding...

Hell I built like 7 of those Wonders and still don't see my enemies, I also built them close to the shore lines...

Final but not least, infantry is hard to flak in battle, compare to AOE2 with its awesome in flaking abilities...

Final Word: Empire Earth looks nice and pretty but does not completely deliver what was expected....
After 10 hrs of play I think I would have gone mad, game play is too long and drawn out.

If I was you guys, read more reviews and ask someone close to you how the game was and ask them if they ever played AOE2 before... Even better, hell just borrow your friends game to see if you like it, then buy... For me this game doesn't work...

Also I had crashes when playing with multiplayer on a local system...

Its the best!

This game is the best! You get to build walls (unlike any other stretagy games) which has high hit points (HP) to protect you from most enemies and it can help your team mates!Building walls is fun! you can even put gates! Heck why am I saying this to you? You should play the game yourself and see if you like it!

Fans of the Age of Empires series will LOVE this game!

I don't know about the bugs, but I am running a Pentium 2 - 300Mhz machine, which is below the minimum requirements, and I have had no problems or bugs that some of you seem to experience...

As you may have read, the difficulty might be too much for beginners. If you have never played the AOE games, it might take you a while to get used to this game. But, however if you have played any other Real Time Strategy game, then you all should know and expect the same basic formula of gameplay and it should not be too difficult.

In response to a previous reviewer about the rock-paper-scissors routine: if that wasn't there, then what kind of variety would there be? It would be way too easy if everything was the same, it would get boring really quick too.

Anyway, if you are a true gamer, YOU NEED TO GET THIS GAME!

The game is so much better than AOE. First, it's all in 3D so it has killer graphics. Secondly, it has a zoom feature, so you can zoom in on battles. It spans all of history from prehistoric times to the future, and the units are amazing. There are many heros to supplement your armies, even female ones. They boost morale for your troops. But the special units like samauri, and chinese infantry,inca infantry, and cargo truck, even the commander's car which can transport other units is awesome. But the regular units are just as amazing, especially the aircraft. There is even B-29 bombers which are used for atomic bomb runs. This game requires you to have a balanced army, and having an army consisting of only one type of unit won't help you any. It is a challenging but fun game and it's well worth the money you'll pay for it.....
