I thought I was purchasing a used game but to my surprise it was brand new and in the original box! The game plays excellent. The company I purchased the game from had shipped it very quickly. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that is thinking about buying video games. They have very good prices and excellent service. I will definitely purchase from them again!

This game sucks. I really enjoyed the original Mega Man but this game has nothing incomin with the original. First of all the controls are terrible. U cant just turn u have to stop then turn. After awhile this gets very annoying. Second the graphics for this game are very poor. U would think that since Mega Man was gooing 3-D the graphics would be better, well your wrong. the graphics just plain suck. Last the game is really only a little fun for the first 5 minutes u play but after that its very boring. Overall this game is very bad and is not worth buying or even renting. TOTAL DISAPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!!

Be warned - this is NOT a Mega Man game

In recent years, Capcom attempted to bring their classic Mega Man franchise into the new millennium. They gave the series a complete makeover, in a number of ways, and thus, the Legends series was born. How does this, the first game in the Legends series, measure up? Read on and see.

PROS:
-IT'S A FULL 3D GAME. Many fans of the Mega Man series had long been awaiting such a game, and at long last they have one. Well, sort of.
-THERE ARE TONS OF WEAPONS AND ITEMS FOR YOU TO FIND AND USE. The island where the game takes place is filled with ruins which it will take a good deal of time to explore in their entirety.
-THE STORYLINE IS BETTER THAN SOME PEOPLE MAKE IT OUT TO BE. This is NOT really a Mega Man game, but the storyline the game has is an interesting one nonetheless.

CONS:
-THE BIGGEST CON IS THE MOST OBVIOUS ONE - IT ISN'T REALLY A MEGA MAN GAME! Capcom just used a Mega Man look for many of the characters so that they could sell more games. For shame, Capcom.
-THE GRAPHICS ARE HORRIBLE, EVEN FOR A FULL 3D GAME ORIGINALLY MADE FOR THE PLAYSTATION ONE. The characters look like they were made out of paper, and I don't mean that in a good way. The 2D Mega Man games on all other systems had graphics way better than these.
-THE CONTROLS SUCK. If you want to turn, you have to rotate the camera. This becomes extremely annoying in no time at all. There are also several other control faults.
-THE GAME LEAVES TOO MANY QUESTIONS UNANSWERED. If the series really IS somehow connected to the other Mega Man game series, the game fails to tell you how. Likewise, your character's origin is never explained.

OVERALL:
Overall this is a good game, but it wasn't really what I was hoping for. That's not to say you won't have any fun with it - I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. If you find this game in the budget bin, pick it up. It may surprise you.

This game is horrid!!!

Don't get me wrong I usually love when a 2d game goes 3d but capcom made a mistake with this one. I love when mario and sonic went into 3d and I was really excited when i saw mega man had gone 3d so i bought it. I'm still hoping they will come out with another 3d mega man butnot like this one. I like rpgs but mega should have never come one it is completely dull. So save your money and don't buy even if you are a diehard mega man fan like me. PLease listen I'm saving you from making an incredible mistake. ~DON'T BUT THIS GAME!!!~

get this game! and I mean NOW!

what makes me love this game? the cool music. the fun bosses. the arm weapons. the upgrades to jump and speed and the mega buster. the minigames. but most of all, the hard enemies. super mario 64, banjo-kazooie, donkey kong 64, the normal enemies are stupid and easy to beat. the megaman enemies are smart and touph. this game is GREAT and you can get it cheap now it's so old. yay!

Good game!

First of all, this is a alternate plot to the original Mega Man games. Now Wily is just a boat store owner, and Roll takes the pace of Dr. Light as your weapon creater. This game is pretty easy if you know the ultimate move to defeat the bosses, circle them! It doesn't always work, but oh well. This game isn't really better than the Playstation version. The rumble feature only works when you get hit, and the "anolog" feature means they just made the joystick work. I still use the D-Pad since that is what the controls were originally made for. They also took out the way to become invincible, that PVC vest. The game is still pretty easy, though. The dumb thing is you have to beat the game in Hard mode to get Easy mode. All in all, the game is pretty good, but if you have a Playstation, I would get the Mega Man Legends.

This game kicks A**

Megaman64 is a whole new game. The original megaman was fun but I like the 3-D versions better. This game revolves around diggers and the hunt for the legendary Mother Lode. The game's targeting system and gameplay is somewhat similar to The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. The graphics are a too much alike with the Playstation version. That is probbaly it's biggest con.
The game's story is a little too kiddish it doesn't go as deep as some RPGS. I would put this in a Action/Adventure category rather than an RPG. This game is like most megaman games are.
But if you want a deep plot and perfect gameplay I also recommend Ocarina of Time or Donkey Kong64. Don't get me wrong this is a good game but Capcom didn't give it a deep enough plot. Searching for the Mother Lode is challenging and the enemies are extremely hard but it needs a deeper plot. This game is more of a hit and run game rather than solving puzzles.
To progress you need to buy plenty of Buster Parts. You also need to buy more health pieces, you start out with five but you can buy more. I don't know what the limit it is but I'm sure you can buy over ten. I have only beaten Bomb Boone and Tron Boone but that's only because I've been working on Majora's Mask( the second Zelda game for the N64). If your a hit and run type gamer this game is perfect for you but if your like me and you like puzzles and fighting get Ocarina of Time. I mainly have Action/Adventure and RPG games. They are the best type of games in my opinion so check this out at your local Blockbuster and if you like it buy it and if you don't check Ocarina of Time it is a Must Have. I admit I like Zelda better but this game is still a classic game if your a RPG Action/Adventure collector like me buy it today or tomorrow. Well I hope you like it. Oh yeah check some of my other reviews I've written one for just about every RPG on this website.
Before I finish this review here's a list of other good Action/Adeventure RPG games.
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask
Donkey Kong 64
Star Fox 64
Super Mario 64
Gex enter the Gecko
Gex:3 deep cover Gecko
the funny the about the gex games is they have gex1 and gex3 but no gex2
Banjo Kazooie
and Banjo Tooie
Well I hope my review was helpful.
P.S. check out Megaman Zero for Game Boy Advance..

mega man 64 is a must buy

this is one great game. Nothing like the originals, but its great. Mega Man and Roll are in the game, but they look totally different. Mega Man is a digger which is someone who goes into caves and looks for crystals and stuff. Roll gives you advice and stuff. Also, there is roll's grampa, Barrel Casket. they are looking for the mother lode, which is some sorta special; treasure. There is lots of room to explore, and if you search you can find parts for roll to use to make you arm weapons like mines. and you use your megabuster. there are lots of mazes to navigate which are challenging, and the boss battles are pretty tough. you can talk to all kinds of people and donate money to the town. Note: Megaman is a boy, not a robot. buy this game. P.S. the old meganman games do not stink they are classics
