DO you want to feel like someone of godly might?

Throne of Bhaal, expansion, hmm... It hardly feels like a usual one though. Shadows of Amn was one of the best games I have ever tried, indubitably the best CRPG made.
Considering that Throne of Bhaal is an expansion, it most certainly is doing great things, it improves gameplay a lot adds and a good innovative story to it's predecessor quite enjoyable. I however would have wanted a BG 3, another city... in BG they had Baldurs Gate, in SoA they had Athkathla, i would have wanted, perhaps Memnon or Calimport i would have wanted more than 1 cd and a longer game.
I don't find many flaws in the game, gamewise that is, you recieve god-like powers and it's great to play with such powers, whether you're a Monk, Cleric or a Mage. The game takes you through a great story as i formerly said. You find cool items and should thoroughly enjoy this game.
It offers a great replay value, since you can play so many character classes and do many things differently than you did when you last played.
Great game, fantastic expansion but a little short.

Excelent Game!!

This game incredibly fun and interesting. Even for a casual gamer like me, I was drawn in with the amazing plot twists and climactic battles. Having played the all of the other games in the baldurs gate series, I think that this made the best possible conclusion to the story of my hero as he progressed in this amazingly deep and detailed world. If you own Baldurs Gate 2, I would strongly reccomend finishing it off with this amazing game.

Well worth the money and time.

Buying a video game is like watching a movie, its not so much the cost of the game but whether it will be worth playing once you get it. This game is definitely worth the time and money. I spend most of my gaming hours playing everquest but Warcraft the Baldur's gate series are the only other PC games I play these days on a regular basis.

great fun!

This BG2ToB is a great expansion that brings the Baldurs Gate series to a close in a magnificent way. This expansion starts off right where Shadows of Amn ended. Now that Irenicus is dead you and your party have many new and fun quest ahead of you. BG2ToB is almost a whole new game because it adds over 80+ hours to the already long Shadows of Amn. You can upload your party from Shadows of Amn and play with them further into BG2ToB. One of the coolest things about this expansion pack is that you can reach 8,000,000 XP with your characters. That is more than triple the amount in Shadows of Amn. Also there are many new spells and weapons in this expansion that will keep you coming back for more and more of Baldurs Gate. Overal this game or should I say expansion is an awesome close to an unforgetable Baldurs Gate legacy.

OK. I have had this game for a while and I am reviewing it now. I loved this game. It is excellent. The XP cap got raised to 8,000,000 so now my mage can get to 31st level!!! It was very fun . The 9th level spells are really cool. All the warrior classes gain special abilities like Critical Strike, which lets every hit you hit the enemy with be a critical hit for a few seconds! Wicked for killing dragons. The graphics and sound are stunning to. GREAT EXPANSION.

Also, the wizard 9th level spell Dragons Breath is TOTALLY awesome.

More fun...

I admit, I was unsatisfied after finishing Shadows of Amn. Firstly, I wanted to continue to play with my character, and secondly because the Child of Bhaal plot was left unresolved.
Well, Throne of Bhaal is completely about the fulfillment of Aluando's prophecies. The game features many new and very powerful adversaries (the last few major battles are quite challenging), new magical items, a new NPC (an old friend, actually) and lots of the good stuff that made this series so enjoyable to play.
While I want more, I am glad Black Isle is quitting while it is ahead, because this series could potentially get bad real fast.
Rest assured Throne of Bhaal is worth the money, so buy it and ENJOY.

My scarf off (since I don't wear a hat) to the programers of these games, who have a great sense of humor and creativity. You've got me hooked. Graphics & special effects are incredible and it's very amusing to listen to the dialogue between the characters. I've developed a strategy that seems to work battling the most dangerous creatures in the game. First put up your defenses, then surround these baddies with summoned monsters of your own while your mages & priests hit them with spells to lower their magic resistance, then send in your fighters to finish the job. The toughest creature is the Liche. By the way, what is a Liche? This game was given to me as a gift along with the expansion Icwind Dale. I am engaged with one of the characters (Sir Anomen). What do you mean you're engaged to him also? I highly recommend this game for all serious RPG adults. There's a lot of strategy involved - you don't just kill everything you see. All my other games (sorry Playstation) have been put on hold until I finish Baldur's Gate (which at this rate will be til I'm 90 years old).

This game is great. Though the overall gametime is much shorter than BG2, BG2 expansion has many options that make it just as entertaining. First of all, you may play the original SoA version and the ToB version together. Next, the new array of spells and weaponry is a nice addition because of the new monsters' high HP and better equipped enemies. My only difficulty with BG2 ToB is that new characters start at level 17+. For one thing, this ruins the character because you don't know what the characters full potential is unless you play them all the way through, at the very least through BG2 SoA. Also, this is a lower level than you can achieve by actually playing all the way through BG2.

good addition to an awesome game

If you are like me, then you are absolutely addicted to Baldur's Gate, and Baldur's Gate II. This is why I had to get Throne of Bhaal. To fully appreciate it though you must start form the beginning. It adds many new items character options, classes, and spells. Once you beat the main story of baldur's gate II and move into the Throne of Bhaal story line. The game becomes more hack and slash which doesn't appeal to me. That is why I gave it a 4 of 5 star rating.
