I was just about to buy this game. Overall the reviews have been pretty good but they I watched a game review video on google video and.. my God! The main actor speaks some kind of disgusting primitive British english. I normally don't mind normal British but she sounds like some kind of primitive street person. What is that all about?
There is no way that I will every play that game and I highly recommend that you watch an actual game video before you buy it.
Otherwise it looks very nice but the gameplay seems to be very minimal.

I use to play nothing but First Person Shooters, but they do get old sometimes. So, I have tried adventure games as a way to relax. This game is so beautifully done it was like being in a movie. Hats off to FUNCOM and I hope they continue with adventure games. You will NOT be dissapointed with this one.

This is a great game. Very good dialog, a good story, and nice puzzles. Why are there so few games that are this enjoyable?

It was a very entertaining game, with a good story line and great dialog to back it up. The game environment is immersive and nice to look at, but the character modeling could use a little work.

LOVE this game!

question for you guys! i just got dreamfall: the longest journey...the sequel to the 1st one but i did not know that this was the 2nd game that they've released it. Now, not knowing the story yet, do you guys think i should play the 1st game first? or it doesn't really matter so i can go ahead & play the sequel? let me know, thanks! :)

Basically - as a game it sucks - great movie but not a game!

Graphics are good, too much dialogue for a game. The fighting is slow and sloppy, moves are highly circumscribed and lack creativity. There is little in the game to challenge an experienced game player. You know where to go and what to do because that is all you can do - no exploration of the worlds is available, no side quests to be had, no weapons changes for any of the three characters you become. I found the entire game to be fairly one dimensional. The story was entertaining, but I never became a part of the story. The game was simplistic to play - it took me less than 24 hours to reach the end of this game (as a comparison - the original shadow-man took me over three months of play time. ) - and the ending was the final and ultimate disappointment. I do not rate this game very highly as a game for those who enjoy challenging and engrossing gameplay.

Yes believe the hype this is a great game-I will go as far as saying it is a classic. No value in repeating what many other reviewers said as far as details go. I played most adventure games out there and Dreamfall is a standout achievement.

The most mature, sophisticated, outstanding game ever...

After playing this game on Xbox and finishing it, I bought the PC version and it's fantastic. The story engrosses the player to make them play for hours on end. The graphics are very good, but not because of the polygon power. Actually, one would expect just a little better, but the detailed locales and art make up for it. The actual design of the game contributes greatly to the awesomeness of it. With numerous adventures, travels, and cutscenes, Dreamfall could be a movie in itself. I've read how people are so moved by the story, and it's true. Some scenes, especially the ending, are emotional. This is something not often experienced in a game. You, as the player, grow so close to the characters that it's hard to dislike them. I will admit, the ending annoyed me with unanswered questions, so we can only hope for the last installment in The Longest Journey series (ASAP, Funcom!). If you're looking for a spectacular adventure game, or any genre of game for that matter, buy Dreamfall. It's worth it.
