is SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, the best sonic title ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is a Masterpiece. I hope that the next games are as incredible as this is. The music is perfect the best of all Sonic the hedgehog games. The levels are perfectly designed like all the sonic games especially the Sonic Adventure 2, buy it now especially if you are a fan of this saga, you will never regret of it. The Silver missions are great and the shadows too but the best of all of course are the sonic missions, the graphics are great but i hope in the play station3 version becames better

I got this for my son and he loves it! He can't put it down and im going to go play it right now! It's one of the best games out there still my favroite game is Sonic Advenutre.

No longer fun

I remember playing Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis and Sega CD and having a blast. It was simple, Played well and was fun to play over and over.
Now this load of[..]showed up.
The good:
-Sonic is on the Next Gen systems.
-The Animated movies are mostly fluid and fun to watch until you notice how poor the voice acting is. There are some funny mess ups with the animation during the cut scenes when characters start to speak but their mouths continue to move even though the dialogue is done.
The Bad:
-The camera is almost never focused on what you need to see. The enemies are off-screen where you can't fight them and you die because you are blind to them. When you're in the tank with Shadow, you drive off the map and can't find your way around.
-There are glitches. Sometimes when you're running through loops; your character falls through them when they're obviously not supposed to and you die.
-The load times are frequent. They occur before a cutscene, after a cutscene, before a boss fight, after a boss fight, after you die, before and after you begin the next phase. It slows the action down to bordom within minutes.
-There is nothing original about this game that would set it apart from other Sonic games or other Platform games.
This could have been half way decent if the development team had done proper testing and fixed all of the problems. They obviously don't care about quality or a good reputation.

Worst Sonic Game Ever

I saw this game on demo in Best Buy last year just before I bought my Xbox 360. Considering I loved the Dreamcast version so much when they made it in 3D and I've enjoyed several of the Sonic games on my daughter's Gamecube, I was excited about this game and told my wife I wanted it for Christmas (Between Call of Duty 3 and Sonic I would buy whichever one she didn't get for me). How can you not like Sonic?

Imagine my disappointment once I started playing this game. Wow. I had no idea it was going to be this bad. The game looks great and plays fast but that's about all. Just about everything else is wrong and Sonic Team should be ashamed of themselves for putting out such an inferior product. Giving this game 2 stars is generous, but I won't give it one star because it is fun in short spurts and could've been so much better... so much potential gone to waste. By far the most annoying thing about this game is all the cheap deaths from bad camera angles... you just can't see where you're going far too often and that's just unacceptable. Combine that with the limited save opportunities where you most assuredly WILL run out of lives and the game is unnecessarily difficult. Not even difficult in a rewarding way, like Ninja Gaiden... difficult in a cheap, frustrating way.

It was hard to do and I really didn't want to give up on this game but I ended up selling it to Gamestop not too long ago for whatever they'd give me. Lesson learned: check reviews before buying, which I did not, I banked on it being good. Whoops. That was 50 bucks my wife could've spent on something else.

Unless you are a die-hard Sonic fan AVOID THIS GAME at all costs. If you are a die-hard then be very careful, I would definitely suggest renting this first because I honestly don't believe it's worthy of inclusion in the Sonic series.

This Sonic game promied to be true to it's roots but its really like Sonic Adventure not that that's a bad thing but it's just that it looks like a reamke more than a new game the gameplay is fast enough to make you hurl up and the graphics are colorful and cute in their own distinguished mannner.
However the Sound does'nt really wow you it just makes you sit there and wonder why Steve Urkel is voicing Sonic in a Game the game isnt all that long but its fun and addictive and it's multiplayer is also pretty cool

I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS GAME TO COME OUT AND I EVEN PAID FULL PRICE TO GET IT BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GREAT SONIC GAME. I WAS DEAD WRONG. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. SONIC TEAM SHOULD BE ASHAMED. THE CONTROLS ARE HORRIBLE, THE STORY IS AWFUL AND IT IS NOT FUN AT ALL TO PLAY. I KINDA LIKED SONIC ADVENTURE FOR DREAMCAST BUT IT SEEMS THAT SONIC TEAM SAID "HEY, WHY DON'T WE TAKE ALL THE STUFF THAT SUCKED ON SONIC ADVENTURE AND MAKE IT TEN TIMES WORSE FOR THIS GAME." ALSO, WHAT IS WITH THE LOAD TIMES?! I WAIT OVER 3O SECONDS TO SEE A 10 SECOND VIDEO CLIP?! I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT I RATHER ENJOYED SONIC RUSH FOR NINTENDO DS BUT WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT IS BECAUSE IT IS SO MUCH LIKE THE ORIGINAL SONIC GAMES FOR GENESIS. WITH THAT BEIGN SAID, STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME, IT IS AWFUL AND SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE SHELVES AND DESTORYED TO BE FORGOTTEN FOR ALL TIME. I WILL THINK TWICE BEFORE EVER BUYING ANOTHER SONIC TITLE. AND BY THE WAY, EB AND GAMESTOP ONLY PAYS $17 TO BUY BACK THIS GAME BECUASE NO ONE WANTS IT. THANKS ALOT SONIC TEAM FOR RAPING ME OF MY CHRISTMAS MONEY!

The graphics have taken an impressive leap forward since the last sonic games, and the added characters are a great bonus. (My fave: blaze the cat.) No chows made me give this a 4 instead of a 5, but it still deserves a great rating.

Worst Sonic 3D Game Ever Made in the History of the Sonic Franchise

I played and beat this game. There is almost absolutely nothing good about this game at all. The absolutely most terrible thing in the game IS!: the camera. Sonic 3D adventure games have gotten a pretty good, uhm, how do I say? Expectation from fans to always have bad cameras. But this one jumps over those freaking expectations with a trampoline and jet pack. It's the worst one in ANY Sonic game in general. I tried flying out a window with Tails, as you had to in order to float to the next building and grab a Chaos Emerald, but the camera decided to have a game of musical chairs with me and so I ran out of flight time and perished.

The game is ludicrously difficult. If it wasn't for the bad camera, half of the game's difficulty would instantly be gone. Almost every time an enemy killed me, or I fell down a classic bottomless pit hole, it was because of the stupid camera. However, the hardest parts in the game are the levels where Sonic must run at his maximum speed to overcome some short-time obstacle and these aren't hard because of the camera. No, these are just hard from bad design; it's the hardest aspect of the game. Some of these levels could have been done in literally one or two minutes, oh, except for the fact it's stupidly easy to die during these. You can't break, you can't even slow down and bumping into absolutely anything results in death. Ironically, the very final boss in the game is easy as dirt in comparison to the rest of the game, it was pretty anti-climatic.

However, despite that, the game does have a couple things I strongly admire. Mainly, Sonic and Shadow now have differences and aren't 100% clones of each other. Shadow's Homing Attack performs slower than Sonic's, but Shadow also jumps higher. He also has the ability to, after doing a homing attack, unleash a frenzy of punches and kicks mid-air.

The music is also excellent. Seriously, listen to the track "Flame Core - Volcano". That's the only example you need. However, it seems Crush 40 did very little music, if any, for the game, which disappoints me. I believe all they did was a remix of some song from Shadow the Hedgehog.

As well, the graphics are pretty great for it, too! The best example of the game's graphics is Dr. Robotnik. They really put a lot of detail on his face with his mustache, chubbiness and even blue veins being visible under his skin (but not disgustingly bulging out, it was very well done).

Also, this is the only Sonic game I know of where Sonic actually dies. Sure, they bring him back by getting all seven Dragon Bal-I mean Chaos Emeralds and making a wish to bring him back, but still! He freakin' dies!

It had the potential to be a really great game, because this game legitimately had some good ideas not used in previous games, but it failed massively, entirely due to the camera and the unbalanced difficulty.

The most criminly underrated game out there!

This game rocks. to bad so many people hate it. I mean it's definently not perfect because all games have there flaws (especilly Super Mario Bros..) I would of liked it if Sonic Next-Gen (A.K.A Sonic the Hedgehog) (A.K.A. Sonic '06) isn't on the Wii. then I'd have more fun with it.
