I understand that Full Auto isn't as deep as alot of other racing games out there, but there are 2 areas where it really shines: playing against a friend, and the Unwreck feature
Single player, even in the career mode, gets old pretty fast, but you've got lost of vehicles to choose from, maybe about 20, and you can choose different colors for each, about 12 per car, and then you can cutomize the weapons on your car to an extent. All of that adds up to some good fun if you have other people to play against. its enough variety for you to race a different car or different color or different weapons every race for weeks
The fully destructible environment adds to that too, once you get the hang of how it works. you can bring down a bridge and block the road you're racing on, you can collapse water towers, blow up npc vehicles to cause pile ups, all kinds of stuff like that. Again, not much fun in single player, but it adds to the competativeness if you're playing against friends, cause you can do alot of sneaky stuff to get ahead of them, even if you're in a slower car or are falling behind or whatever
I guess the big difference between Full Auto and most racing games is Unwreck. Basically you fill the Unwreck meter by destroying things, and then you can use that built up meter to rewind the action any time you want. If you make a wrong turn, you can rewind it. Get blown up, rewind it. Shoot at someone and miss, just rewind it and try it again. It really adds alot to the game, but you can't use Unwreck in multiplayer games, just in the single player, so keep that in mind
Anyway, I don't play Full Auto by myself, but some of my friends like it and we still play it together and have a good time whenever they're over. so if you're tired of Mario Party or whatever and need something new for your group to play, you might check it out

I have to say the fun factor of this game is unbelievable. The title says it all when i say it is Burnout on steroids, everything and i mean everything in this game is destructable. The aim of the game is to get to the finish line first while destroying as much as possible including your racing rivals. With guns, mines, rockets and just any type of weapon that can cause ultimate destruction and destroy your rivals.
This is the type of game that i have wanted for decades, a game that you can destroy everything in site whilst trying to win the race of course.
Very fast paced and just a very mindless game but alot of fun but not much replay value but that's ok because it's not the type of game that you're expected to spend hours on anyway.
Very INTENSE

Nothing can touch this. It instantly became my favorite 360 game.

Full Auto is an intense arcade racing shooter game. Learning curve is about a half an hour. The story mode is achievable. Well worth the $15.00 dollars spent on game. However, the original $59.99 price tag would have made me pass on this game.

Now in a reduced-price 'Greatest Hits' package, Full Auto is basically Twisted Metal meets Burnout. The racing, the insane crashes and exotic locales are Burnout. The machine guns, shotguns, missiles, rockets, cannons and explosions are Twisted Metal. Put them together for 1P or 2P head-to-head action, and it's burning mayhem. And this time, the driver's body does get propelled out of the wreck. Fun!
Solid game, pretty straightforward 1P-mode. Just win a medal in each race, unlock more races, unlock new goodies (cars, weapons, tracks), and so on. And it gets tough. The computer is pretty cagey intelligence-wise. The graphics are excellent, and really awesome on HD. The car damage, the general chaos---it's nothing that new, but a nice twist on the insanely-speedy-car-shooter. You can even rewind time during the race, in case you have to try that turn again or avoid the landmine...but try it too many times and you're out of luck. There's a sequel for PSP and PS3, but no other systems--why?
No heavily involved driving simulator here, but plenty of chaos. Definitely recommended for fans of the two aforementioned series, a nice pickup that does the job.
Great game!

I waited to pick this up until it hit $10 because of mixed reviews. I think this game's success suffered from all the comparisons. It's not Burnout or Twisted Metal. It has its own style and is a steal at <$20. The racing is solid, it's challenging to unlock everything and get all the medals, and the weapons and destruction are a blast! With all the weak racers out there it's a shame a gem like this has been overlooked.
Don't judge a book...

Initially, I thought this game sucked, and was even a waste of the $10 I spent on it. I thought the graphics were borderline acceptable for any 360 game, and the gameplay was iffy at best.
However, give it about 15 minutes, and you'll be hooked. Its pure, escapist fun, and really is a blast to play. There is no reality whatsoever applied to the Career Mode, and come expecting that and you wont be disappointed.
It is the antithesis of perfectionist and precision driving games, and we need that every now and then.

Its a fun game to play online for a few races to blow off some steam, but the single player mode is incredibly repetetive and shallow. You are supposed to hunt down your 'rival' but you are never told who your rival is or WHY he's your rival, other than the fact that he's got three stipes over his car rather than one. Its also insanely easy because the AI is incredibly dumb and will hardly ever try to dodge your gunshots. If you want to rack up some easy acheivement points though, play Full Auto for about one full evening. The game quickly loses its luster after you advance about 4 or 5 circuits into the career mode. The tracks are what makes this game so boring - instead of having a variety of race modes, its all pretty much circuit or point to point. I would have loved to see a closed-arena deathmatch or destruction derby type course. That would have made for absolute chaos on Xbox Live. So yeah the destruction is cool but its not enough to make me play this game for months to come. Really the best thing about this game is the Unwreck feature which allows you to rewind the game on demand so you can re-judge a turn or avoid getting killed.
