I played the xbox live demo several times and was hooked. There is nothing better than gathering orbs, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, driving sweet vehicles everywhere and causing insane explosions while taking down ganglords. This is the free roaming game I always wanted. There is so much to do that the entertainment is only limited to your imagination. If you think the game is boring than you might have a boring imagination because really the game is about creating the fun, not having it spoon fed to you like a story-path based game. Swim, jump, climb, drive, throw, shoot, ect... this game rocks. I have spent many an hour playing Crackdown and I am loosing sleep--that's a good sign. (Oh, and the first release includes an intvite to Halo 3 beta) Not why I bought the game but a nice touch. They should advertise the game like the Milk companies do- "Got Crack?"
A great "pick-up & play"

I'm actually having a great time with this game offline/online, it may not be the deepest game but it's a lot of fun to play never the less. The Halo 3 beta invite is a nice incentive also. This game makes me think of how a "good" official licensed MATRIX game could have been. It's a buy just for the fact that you feel quite satisfied jumping around and blowing $%@# up!
Incredibly Addictive and Fun.

This game really draws you in from the very beginning. The richness of the cityscape and the pure exhiliartion of the gameplay really do set the bar for games of this genre.
There is a visceral thrill in leaping across the skyline and being able to progressively achieve more and more awesome feats as your powers increase.
Hours can literally fly by like minutes as you explore more and more of the labyrintine city - a mark of a really great game.
Awsome fun but bad plot

The game is tremendously fun to just roam around...and the explosions are the best, i sometimes just pile cars then get my firefly and shoot like 3 rockets and then watch it explode. The best part are the powers, the weapons, and the great heights...the downside is the story is pretty much non existent...they could have had a lot better story line but they chose not too
So much potential...

This game is great you'll love the jumping from building to building and get frustrated by the highest difficulty. But it just seems kind of hollow in the story line so its more about messing around than the actual story.
Driving with less than 3 stars is terrible and annoying.
Targeting system takes a little to get used to(having played the latest GTA games where you can switch between targets without having to aim) you have to aim at your target THEN lock on.
But other than that it was a blast, not realy worth the $60 but it came with the Halo 3 beta so maybe it is worth it :D
Those peacekeepers need your help agent!

This game was obviously created with having a good time in mind. To be so short (all the bosses take something like 12-15 hours to kill unless you try to max out your stats first) and utterly storyless, this game stands out as one of the most fun; most replayable game in recent memory. The cel-shading is mostly well done and only starts to look bad in really close-up camera angles that will probably screw the camera up anyway.
The only real problems I have with this game is that sometimes a boss will inexplicably not be where his map marker says he is and although the criminals' banter is quite funny, they never shut up, even if there is no one around. Also the announcer continues to train you in the basics of playing the game no matter how long you've already been playing.
Minor problems aside I totally recommend this game to anyone who like to play games that offer lots of mindless blowing stuff up.
Better than expected

I will admit that I bought this game for the Halo 3 beta. When I got it, I thought I would give it a shot and I am glad I did. It was a lot of fun and I am still playing it. The bosses are a little easy to beat once you get to them. The agility orbs and hidden orbs are fun to try and find. I have almost found all of them. I wish there was a multiplayer options (other than campaign). For Halo fans, I would recommend this game because the game is fun and of course you will get the Halo 3 beta download code when it comes out.
Great game, no real storyline and short lived

My title pretty much said it all. The game is actually fun but can get dull fast cause beating all the boss shouldn't take more then a couple of sitting. Online is ok but i still think it needs a story plot to make it last longer.
Not better than GTA

This game is fun but it is more like the hulk than any GTA game. Definetly not as long or as good but still a good play
Crackdown and get this one...

Bought it for Halo 3 Beta... Played it for extreme fun. Do yourself a favor and get this one. It's grand theft auto if you were a superhero!
