I do not know what all of you guys are complaining about, but I enjoyed this game. I have not finished with the third destiny yet, but I am almost finished. I bet that the reason that all of you are complaining is that you never REALLY finished the game. If you enjoy this game I know that you will like Sommoner as well. I thought that this game had a lot of good things going for it. There is also strategy in it because you have to use strategy to fight the really big monsters or you wouldn't get past them. My one complaint is that you need more save points that is why I gave it four stars. Sometimes if I got killed during a fight it took me ten minutes to get back to the same point until I figured out that you could restart the battle agian. I hope that any of you who are planning on buying this find this review helpful.

This is one of those games that was all hype and nothing to back it up. the previews looked amazing but the aftermath is that Orphen has ver dissapointing gameplay. the only good thing about this game was the battles. the battle system was very innovative and fun to learn, however this game will dissapoint even the most hardcore fans of the anime.

I think the problem with reviewers like billfy is that they think the dubbing is more important than it really is. So what if the words don't follow the mouth of the characters! And also, they expect it to be more of an RPG, but it's more of an action game. It is a litle too linear, but it was over all a pretty OK game. This especialy true for beginners who aren't very good with GPG's because they get lost too easily.

In the end, I would mostly recommend this game to either beginners or those who just prefere a more linear action game rather than RPG's.

This is not the worst game I have ever played, but it looks like it should be a PS1 game, with a VHS tape to cover all the cut scenes. Even though I have not finished the game yet, there are already too many movie sequences for my taste, and from what I have read about it, it doesn't get any better. The graphics, and the overall animation of this game generally stink, the only part I like so far is the drawn art animation, the rest just looks like garbage compared to the graphics of Tekken Tag, and even Timesplitters.

This is a great game,but, everybody thinks that this is a rpg game but, it's not,this is a adventure game,great for anime fans who had seen the serie about orphen ,like me.Other people thinks that this game is bad but, if they see the serie they'll like it.It's like dragon ball final bout it's a bad game but everybody like it because it's about dragon ball.This game is great for anime-fans and for a real player.

Orphen is an RPG with GREAT gameplay because:
1- The intro was VERY COOL.
2- It contains many animated cinematics.
3- The fighting-style is amazing (Not SUPERB as Grandia but much better than Final Fantasy).
4- You can see the enemies before you fight them (Just like in Chrono Cross).
5- The music is cool.
6- It contains voice-acting.
7- You can see your friends following you all the time (Just like in Chrono Trigger).
8- You don't have to put another names for the characters (Just like in Lunar).
9- COOL character desing.

Those were the good things but the bad things are:
1- Cheap movement for the characters and also for the cinematics.
2- The graphics were not all that good.
3- You don't have freedom on the map-screen.
4- The voices were so-so.
5- Poor longivety.

Well, I personally liked Orphen : Scion of Sorcery. I probably liked it because as stated, Orphen is also an anime and getting to see those few anime sequences here and there got my attention. I do have to admit that Orphen is simple in it's plot (although the ending with the whole Gaia thing was pretty interesting), and the fact that it's not the best RPG in the world with it's annoying battle system at times, it's really a good game all around. The anime sequences I think were the best and my opinion is that the people who will love this game most are RPGers who aren't picky or fans of the anime. The ending did leave a kind of, is that it feeling though. But otherwise good game, check it out, mainly if your an anime fan of the series.

I loved this games real time combat. Very quickly paced game where the characters are very easily controlled. An excellent RPG game that will keep you intrigued throughout. Orphen has found a home.

orphen:Scion of Sorcery is a pretty dern good rpg game i mean the graphics arent all that good.Okay here are my reviews for this game.Graphics8.5/10,gameplay10/10.and the sound9.5/10.So all in all i would give this a game a 9.5/10.And what i have to say for this game it is totally superb.This game is good for children and adults.So this is practically a got to get game.~merry christmas~
